Question (55,353) by SC from USA
Hi guys, quick question. Do you know which remix Mariah sings for the song "Someday" during her Vegas show? I noticed that it's some sort of old school beat that is a good reinvention for the Someday song. Similar to the Dreamlover part of the show when she adds the beat from "Juicy" from Notorious B.I.G.. I would love to know which beat is used for Someday as I love it. Thanks.

Could someone please post the Enquirer interview? (54,229) by SC from USA
I can't find it anywhere online, so I just read the headline or the general summary that's on the Enquirer's website. Thank you. Terrible about Morgan. I thought she helped him with the gardening business a few years ago. Terrible.

Props to the new pr team (52,956) by SC from USA
All I can say is that MC's recent press coverage has been extremely positive and today's headlines highlighting that she can still sing are a testament to that. This is what we need right now, even the funny or die skit. Perfect for now. She needs to be seen as relevant, funny, personable, and most importantly talented. What a change. Don't you think? For TMZ to come up with those great headlines and to put the great "leaked" audio. Excellent. I really think her team actually leaked the audio to prove a point and it worked. The press is now eating all over this and they are all posting the same thing. "She's still got it." Great work.

Where's the promo? (51,284) by SC from USA
The residency starts in basically one month and there's zero promo for this. I'm not sure if you guys recall, but for Britney's residency this was treated as a major event and there was an entire "launch" with her flying in a helicopter, big entrance photoshoots, her video was featuring Planet Hollywood and a big documentary on the preparation for this. With Shania Twain they shut down the Vegas Strip and she arrived to Caesars on horses. Where's the promo for Mariah? My concern is that they are treating her residency as not a long-term thing. She's only committed to two months this year and Celine just announced that she's coming back. Maybe that's what it is? The production team should at least go on Access Hollywood or something to show the set or preparations. I doubt the album will be released at the beginning of the residency, as we're basically too close in time and there's zero promo. I'm begging for this album to be and feel fresh. We absolutely cannot have another hits album with the same versions of the songs. It won't sell and that won't be good for Vegas sales. This has to be upgraded and fresh. I also really hope her voice is in top form by the time this begins. We can't have excuses of her saying that she's been in the studio all night at live shows. Stay positive MC. We are all rooting for you and we want to see you succeed in Vegas and album sales.

Please MC, Work with Jamie King for Vegas (50,690) by SC from USA
I'm not sure if you guys know Jamie King, but he's a visual genius when it comes to visual shows. He's one of the most sought after producers and visual directors for the top artists today. If you look a his resume, he's concerts put on a show. Madonna always works with him for her tours, and he's also worked with people like Britney, Celine (during her tour), and also with Mariah. If you look at his website, most of the performances for MC that he was involved in were incredible. The would be the perfect partnership for a show in Vegas that needs a spin and a fresh cool look. Mariah has so much potential, but we can all probably agree that her tours tend to look somewhat dated and on the lower budget range. I love her, but in today's era, people pay for shows. Big shows with big visual spectacles. Vegas should represent that. I really hope they work together on this. The results would be incredible without a doubt and she needs a visual director that can deliver. I would really hope that the vegas show is not a representation of the Elusive Chanteuse show. Thoughts? Who else would you like for her to work with? We have a massive star in our hands, now lets deliver a massive audiovisual spectacle.

MC signs new deal with Epic Records (Sony) (49,485) by SC from USA
There's an article today in Billboard.com of Mariah's new deal with Epic Records, a division of Sony (they own her old catalogue). This article must be true since Billboard doesn't tend to post items that are just "rumors". I think this is a good move since LA Reid is the head of the label and they really get her. She needs a change to regain her image and her career. There's hope. I don't believe she has management at the moment which is obviously an issue since she controls everything and this is why most things have been very messy in the last year. An artist needs to focus on the art and rely on a structured team to work together towards success. Let's hope it happens.

Last night's Christmas show 12/16 (48,567) by SC from USA
Hi everyone. I was there last night at the Christmas show and all I can say is that the YouTube videos don't do justice to how incredible this concert was. She was a pro from every aspect. I've seen plenty of mishaps in past concerts with mic issues, etc, etc., but last night she was simply perfect and almost too good to be true. I had orchestra seats and she sounded incredible. In the "Chanteuse" tour, I thought some of the dancers and stage production seemed somewhat outdated and cheesy, but the stage last night was incredible. Full of details and better than any other Christmas show thats out here in NYC (Nutcracker, Rockets, etc). Mariah seemed in great spirits and very relaxed. It was honestly like going to church, the choirs, the band, the little children singing and dancing. Even the little interludes with story telling were great. She looked beautiful and after last night, there's absolutely no denying that she's in top form. A prime concert that will hopefully be a yearly event. The amazing surprise last night was when she sang "Emotions". The crowd went completely wild. She did Hero too and the crowd loved it. The best part of the show for me were "Joy to the World", with the most energetic choir that I've even seen. Those guys were dancing while singing in an amazing way. Also AIWFCIY was excellent and of course Emotions. I felt so lucky to be in a room with such an iconic star and in such a professional and excellent show. So impressed.

Very confused and concerned (45,273) by SC from USA
Hi guys, first of all I'm a big fan of the new album. I listen to it all the time and I love it more as time goes by. Here's my concern. Today is July 8th. Everyone gave YDKWTD a great review and it's by far the biggest "hit" on the album. All reviewers pointed at this song as a potential contender for song of the summer. Where is it? There's a clear disconnect with MC, JD, and the record label, so we know they have lots of problems behind the scenes, but where's the promo? Do they really want to wait until September or October for this? JD keeps talking about other stuff, so the focus on MC (at least on his twitter) is non-existent. He talked about us getting more details "ASAP", but where is it? This is not fair to her fans. We believe in this song and we're behind it, so now show us that you care and at least give us some details on a video or something. What's going on? It really frustrates me because MC wants people to really listen to the album in it completion. OK, but how does she expect for people to hear the album if the sales are this bad? Meaning that people probably don't even know there's an album out. If they give the general audience a song to listen to, then they will gravitate to the album "in its completion" isn't that a better strategy? I just don't know what the disconnect is.

(44,267) by SC from USA
First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone on the quality of this album. It really gave me a feeling that I didn't feel since TEOM album. Bravo. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we now have several issues going on with regards to the promo and future success of the album. MC created a great product, so we now need to spread the word to make sure the general public connects with it and listens to it. All of a sudden things got silent after the WMA situation and headlines came up with regards to MC being late and now the broadcast was "postponed" in the US. Come on. We all know what that means. NBC will no longer play it any time soon. Unfortunately for MC and the album's performance, this was one of two prepared promos for the album. The general public now only has an NBC special on Saturday night to hear about the album. Big problem? Saturday nights are not the most watched evenings in US TV, especially in the summer time. Monte Carlo took two days to shoot and fly to, so we lost some time to promote the LP, the team needs to reassess the situation and kickstart some damage control promo now. We all saw the sales predictions, so that's obviously an eye opener that we have a situation in our hands. She's in NYC, why can't she perform the album at some of the talk shows? Take Coldplay for instance. They always have great sales, but last week they performed several times across NBC programs. That's the promo that you need these days to spread the word. MC seems to have a good relationship with NBC, then let's get her to some of these shows. Another concern is that the MC website still looks like a Memoirs site with no new information. How odd is that? 99.9% of official websites usually create hype for the album. The point is not to be negative, the point is to express my concern due to the fact that the product it excellent and this album needs to be heard. Let's make that happen. Fans can only do so much, but the rest depends on the artist and its team. The album won't be heard on its entirety if people don't know about it. Reviews can do so much, but it just concerns me that an artist of MC's caliber can't do the promo needed for a comeback. Her previous LPs were excellent in my eyes, but the public didn't fully connect with them, so this is a critical point that may affect her legacy. We are not complaining, we are looking for answers if you have a plan that will benefit this album. At this point we all know that she needs to go out there and perform songs. I see this marketing campaign so far as an effort to connect with fans through social media outlets, and that's great, but Q&A sessions can only do so much. The public needs to see her everywhere right now. We know you are capable, so please help us make this album the success that it deserves. "We all need to make this happen", but to her team: [...] I'm sure you understand our concerns. MC, don't give up. Thank you for a great album.

World Music Awards (44,173) by SC from USA
Hi guys, I just saw a picture from MC rehearsing at the world music awards and the background show planets and two big disco balls. I don't know this, but that's a fair assumption that she'll probably perform Meteorite, don't you think?? We'll find out tomorrow.

iTunes (44,165) by SC from USA
Hi guys, don't you find it interesting that there's not a lot of promo on iTunes? There's a banner there, but it still says pre-order. I don't really understand it. What's going on? I never expected this Mahone guy to be number one. Didn't even see him as competition outside of Coldplay's second week numbers. Should we be concerned? The World Music Awards are great, but they are not as big in the US from a ratings point of view, so outside of the special on Saturday there's nothing else booked which is concerning.

Thirsty now on Vevo (43,820) by SC from USA
Hi guys, I'm just expressing frustration at the fact that the Thirsty audio has now been posted on Vevo for streaming, but of course we don't have a single banner promoting it. Do they really expect people to find it by browsing and browsing? How is it that Michael Jackson, Demi Lovato, and Lea Michele (yes, Lea Michele) can all afford one, but not Mariah? This is just shocking to me. I'm praying that something pops up at least tomorrow. The song has potential, it just needs to be discovered on Vevo. [...] What's wrong with this? JD come on. Don't even get me started on iTunes promo, but on that front I'm really praying for an explosion of Mariah when the album is actually released, just like Beyonce's. Do you guys think that could happen? Maybe they are saving the money for that?

Star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame / management (39,958) by SC from USA
Hi guys. I came across a picture yesterday of Jennifer Hudson getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Jennifer Hudson! I still can't believe her PR people and management. This is not rocket science. It really pisses me off that she either doesn't care or she doesn't have a corporation around her to care for the business and image. I initially thought things were going to change with JD, but so far nothing. Where is Cindi Berger? Why should people like Jennifer Hudson or Ryan Seacrest get stars and not MC? That's just the tip of the iceberg. But no promotion for a ballad from an artist who needs to promote things because she's not a Rihanna, or a Lady Gaga. [...] Where are the radio, tv interviews? She needs to understand that things need to be organized. You can't keep putting out singles and singles to check on reactions and delay and delay albums. This always happens to her. It's like they are not prepared. Look at Justin Timberlake's success this year. All organized. He made it about the music and look at the success. It frustrates me because she has the same (if not more) potential, but they don't use it. As of today, we still don't have a date for the new album and the fake tour that was supposed to happen in Asia is not here or even organized. How can an artist so immersed in sales and success in the past not be concerned with today's ways of promoting a song? We need promo to spread the word. [...]

Concerns (39,205) by SC from USA
Hi guys. I'm very concerned with the upcoming era. We are still waiting for some sort of news from MC on the upcoming album. No dates, no updates, nothing. I'm shocked that in September the only news from her is about a nail polish. So sad. What's going on? I saw an article on Billboard's website today on the fall's hottest albums. Of course, no news on MC. Everyone who's anyone seems to have things under control, but what's going on with her team? I honestly don't get her sometimes. Is she concerned with her fans not knowing anything about it? At this point #Beautiful is old news. Whatever happened to the remix video after all that trouble? She broke her arm for this video, so it was probably obsolete and badly done, so it's probably going to end up in the "enhanced" version of her album. All of that work for nothing. Please MC, focus on the upcoming marketing campaign for the album. What happened to that cool dance track that she played for us during her voicemail? Please reinvent yourself and come up with a new sound and a killer video thats not overly done and styled. We need some raw music and image. Please give this to us. We requested an acoustic version of #Beautiful and it didn't happen. We only received badly done remixes with hip hop. This is now what the general public wants at this point. We want raw, Adele-like music. This is what made you a star back in the day. I'm sad and frustrated at this point.

We should prepare for the Fourth of July Special (38,537) by SC from USA
Hi guys. I don't mean to sound negative, but I was at the taping of the Fourth of July special and she def lipped the "America The Beautiful" song. I couldn't watch the other ones as we were all kicked out of the field due to extreme weather conditions, but I'm pretty sure she lipped the whole thing. It was pretty clear for attendees and again, she performed the song 3 times, so I'm sure they will copy and past good bits and pieces. Lets hope the editing looks good, otherwise she will come under attack one more time. I'm concerned, mostly surprised that her "team" or someone is not really advising her on the reality of the situation. Who knows, maybe she knows and she doesn't care, but why are these things still happening? She's a global superstar with A+ producers, stylists, dancers, managers, etc. at her finger tips. It hurts me to say this, but all this year's performances have been average and poorly produced. The effort was there, but the execution was absolutely terrible for someone with her status in the music world. I gotta say that non of these things happened during her "Benny Medina days". He now manages J.Lo and look how well she is viewed.

Comments on Fourth of July performance from a viewer (38,451) by SC from USA
Hi guys. I attended yesterday's Fourth of July taping and she looked beautiful. The weather was terrible, so everything started at around 8:30PM, even though we were supposed to be there at 6:30PM. She performed "America The Beautiful" three times and I'm pretty sure this was a pre-recorded track. A lot of people in the audience were looking at each other during the taping trying to see if it was actually live. Like I said, she performed it three times and they all sounded exactly the same. I really hope the editing is done properly this time to avoid any other issues. During the performance, she seemed to be in a good mood and was very nice (as always) to the fans. She actually didn't know that fans were going to be there, which was interesting. She also sang snippets of Fourth Of July, Circles, and Fly Like A Bird as Big Jim Wright was by the piano and he collaborated with her on those during the original recordings. Right after she finished the third performance of the song, we were all cleared of the field as the it started to rain really badly. Thunderstorms showed up, so we were all supposed to leave the area. I'm not really sure if any fans ended up staying, but it seems like she sang two other songs. I can't wait to see them next week. As always, it's very exciting to see her. Some fans asked her about the remixes and she said that there are more surprises on the way, including the video. [...] Let's hope it happens.

Comments from GMA concert from a witness (38,031) by SC from USA
Hi guys. I attended this morning's mini concert and it was a lot of fun. Mariah rehearsed ABMB and Beautiful, the last one twice with Miguel. They sounded great in rehearsal. I definitely can testify that the performance was fully live, except for the chorus of Miguel. Backing vocal and Miguel sang over it. It was really very messy when the live show started. The AWBM rehearsal was really cool and well planned, but I don't know what happened with the live one. I guess Mariah ran out of time at the changing room, but she literally wasn't there when the song started. I'm not a pro, but her team is huge, they need to focus more on the timing. Everything was really rushed because she changed clothes. I get it. She wants to change a few times. She looked amazing, but she should've rehearsed with the clothes for the live shows. It would have been a lot easier for her. WBT was great as of all know by now. Beautiful started and the show's director kept screaming the time. 60 seconds, 30 seconds and no Mariah. Again. she came out at the last minute. These wardrobe things are easy fixes, they just need to get her ready in full "live show clothes" at rehearsals. The "shit" and the no shoes situation was definitely odd, but in any case I always love seeing her and she's really funny. She chatted with fans a lot and sang a verse of "Underneath the stars" for us. It was great and vocally she was on point. She's perfect, but there's just so much around her. She's a diva and we love her for it.

Yesterday's performances - NFL (36,283) by SC from USA
Hi guys. So I was there yesterday listening to the whole thing and I have to say that the first 3 songs (TMB, ABMB, and WBT) were great, especially WBT, as she belted out the last note incredibly. I was recording the whole thing and I wasn't standing really close from the stage, but I thought the red umbrella thing was actually funny. I gotta say that when Triumphant came out, I started recording the song, but because I wasn't able to see the background video from where I was standing, I actually stopped recording it as I didn't see Mariah coming out. Well folks, as we all know at this point, it was actually the real performance without her even on stage for the first couple of minutes. I'm sorry, but this is the lead single of her comeback to music after a while. Is this how you want to show yourself to the fans and world? None of it made sense to me and I was very upset after the performance. At the end, it was also rushed and she didn't even say goodbye properly. We need to see better performances. MC, lets get Jamie King.
