Mariah Carey set to perform in Central Park
The New York Philharmonic will have a notable guest star when it plays Central Park in a few weeks: Mariah Carey. The singer, who has a new album due in July, will join a long list of icons who have performed on the Great Lawn when she joins the orchestra on July 13.
Major League Baseball, which is scheduled to air its All-Star Game on Fox three days later, will donate $1 million to Sandy Relief efforts (benefiting victims of the superstorm) in conjunction with the concert.
