Gamis urges to call off Mariah Carey's concert
Malaysian Muslim Students Coalition (GAMIS) demands the government to cancel Mariah Carey's concert in respect to the MH17 incident. President, Abdul Malik Abdul Razak said the government should take some action in line with the suggestion of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when he announces the mourning day in respect to MH17 victims.
"We regret about the concert because at this moment all of us are still in sorrow because of the MH17 tragedy and Israel's attack on Gaza. While our Muslim brothers and sister are being killed, we easily let our youngsters to be involved in questionable entertainment and sexy models."
He said GAMIS are serious in prohibiting concerts in which he believes will badly affect our culture. Mariah Carey's concert in Malaysia is part of her Asian Tour in conjunction with the launching of her new album. It is scheduled on October 22 at Stadium Merdeka. (Malaysian Digest)
