It's clear that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Mariah Carey took to Instagram Tuesday to share a shot of her 5-year-old daughter, Monroe, and it's clear that the mother-daughter combo shares a particular love for fins.
"I want to be a mermaid," the songstress captioned the photo, which shows Monroe posing on the ledge of a hot tub. The youngster is dressed in a bikini top and matching long leggings with a blue and green fish scale design. The finishing touch on the diva's daughter's ensemble: a cute red "mermaid" monofin.
ow, while it was supposedly little Monroe who said she wanted to be a mermaid, it could have just as easily been the pop diva. The tot probably got some Little Mermaid inspiration from her mom, who famously wore an over-the-top aquatic creature costume, complete with a shell bikini top, plenty of glitter, and a thigh-slit skirt, for her Halloween party back in 2003.
It looks like Monroe is definitely Mariah's mini-me.
