It's no surprise that Mariah Carey loves her bling. However, the "Obsessed" singer, 50, truly stepped up her jewelry game while performing at the 2019 amfAR Gala during the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night. Mimi wore a stunning necklace, earrings and ring composed of 121 carats worth of diamonds.
The jewels, crafted by Chopard, are part of the brand's Queen of Kalahari collection. The necklace alone features a whopping 50-carat brilliant-cut diamond surrounded by 18k white gold. Her earrings had both a 25-carat pear-shaped and a 26-carat heart-shaped diamond and the matching ring, which completes the set, is a 20-carat cushion-cut stone.
All of the diamonds are cut from the Queen of Kalahari diamond, which was originally 342 carats before it was separated into 23 stones, according to the Chopard website. So as not to compete with the stunning amount of bling around her neck, Mariah wore a black gown covered in glitter and featuring a plunging neckline, of course.
