Rare: vintage photo of Mariah Carey and Will Smith
An 18-year-old Mariah Carey is pictured with a 19-year-old Will Smith in 1988 at the KIIS FM Endless Summer Jam in LA. Smith had been promoting his successful single "Parents Just Don't Understand", whereas MC was preparing herself for a blossoming music career.
The photo, which is featured in the July 19th, 2010 issue of Life & Style magazine, was taken before the legendary songstress hit the big time with her debut single "Vision of Love". It was just two years later that Mariah would take the world by storm as a debuting artist with that accoladed first single.
"Vision of Love" topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive weeks, and won a Grammy for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance". From since then, the world was Mariah's oyster. (Toya's World)
