MC would be able to really make the Gliiter 25 anniversary album have a major impact globally by having songs featuring Michael Jackson and Prince on the album. The Wedding Song, Yours ft. MC songs I've burnt out on (114,473) by Zachariah from Croatia I've kind of burnt myself out on Mariah's first four albums. Didn't touch them in years. Everything from Butterfly onward, including Butterfly, is still in regular rotation for me. We are about to see a shift in the public's viewpoint about Glitter because of what is happening on social media with DMTTYO and the remix. I feel MC is going to release one of the 14 other additional tracks as the next single with a major Gucci video and Glitter TV promotion prior to the October 30th release date. She needs to take advantage of the Glitter 25 hype to showcase her powerhouse vocals during the Glitter era. Who knows what extraordinary things will happen for Glitter and MC on October 30th. Ja Rule even said Tommy heard If We and was so impressed by how good it was that he got Ja Rule on J.Lo's remix immediately and asked him to do a similar sort of thing. Consequently two of the best tracks on Glitter were done for. Loverboy had to be re-recorded and re-sang as we know, and any plans to release If We as a single later had to be shelved. I felt MC's labels didn't know how to promote certain singles on Charmbraclet and Caution correctly because the labels wanted that instant Mariah Carey 90s hit. Top 40 radio just doesn't play a new Mariah single like they use to. This top 40 radio exclusion really bothers me because it looks like radio airplay will never go back to Mariah Carey's 90s heyday. I feel the only way this will change is for MC to step out of her box and collaborate on some new non-album singles with pop artists/bands she covered during her career like Steve Perry, Def Leppard, and Foreigner. There's no magic formula for a #1 or everyone would have one. TTR had a huge marketing campaign. Mariah performed that song on every talk show, award show and mall atrium on Earth. The video was amazing. The vocal is amazing. It's a song that means a lot to me. If the general public didn't care, their loss. I hate hearing her down talk it down now. Why because it peaked at #81? Nothing on Charmbracelet was a great lead single imo. The way she and ya'll beat up Bye Bye irritated me also. She also performed that song at every talk show, late night show and backyard cookout in America. I thought it was a touching song and she killed that climax; it's one of her best. It's also a song many can relate to. Who knows if Migrate would've been a hit. The production quality of Migrate had always sounded muddled to me. Bye Bye peaking at 19 killed the album. And I'm sorry E=MC2 was chock full of singles. It's probably her most commercial album. None of the others did well. So ya'll make out Bye Bye to be Satan's theme. Caution wasn't gonna sell no matter what was released. Mariah is older and nothing on that album is undeniable. A No No is close. Maybe with Cardi on it it woulda done well. IWKWLI was after that type of ballad's popularity but her climax is wonderful. I like the production of the first verse too. My point is MC for the most part puts out quality product. Ariana's voice seems very quite. Without astronomical vocal runs. Mariah's Rainbow is late 90's RnB. The whistle notes in Mariah's [Bliss] are amaaaazzing.
