Did we really dislike Andrew this much? He just needs one day over here in U.S. for some fun skydiving or at Disneyland. He seemed so uptight and bitter about something. Round-Up Saloon, Sue Ellen's or TMC in Dallas would change his attitude really quick.

Merry Christmas album (86,938)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
This is the time of the year the buying public and radio go crazy over MC. When people throw Christmas parties and buy a Christmas album, MC always gets the love and respect for AIWFC and Merry Christmas every year. It is so awesome that both are classics right now. My family doesn't like MC's popular R&B music but they love her Christmas album. My dad says Tony every 12/25 put me some Mariah Carey Merry Christmas on my stereo. Lol.

Tell him girl. I knew I loved you since your first post. You tell it like is. But I hate to say it, Andrew is just on hiatus. He will be back just in time for the Caution World Tour. I love your new picture. You are looking good girl. Am I keeping up now, Beautiful One?

Stay Long Love You (86,872)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Anybody digging Stay Long Love You now like me? This my jam number 2 now. Kind of reminds me of a sped up Joy Ride. I am just wondering if Caution is going to give us a different perspective on vinyl. Vinyl always brings out a more studio live recording sound than CD or mp3.

Special K this is my jam. As far as I am concerned, the best song on Caution. The vocals are perfect. Reminds me of a high school crush on someone and they are not paying you any attention.

Runway (86,742)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I received my Japanese version of Caution today. Sounds so much better on CD than the mp3 version. Thank you Edward for the mp3 version but clarity is sound good coming from Panasonic speakers. We need Runway remixes for U.S. Lambs like right now. It would be number one on the dance charts. Anybody noticed that Mariah is credited as the only producer? Runway joining Melt Away for the only producer credit.

That's my jam too. I totally agree. We need a 8 track album next summer with only Timbaland songs. They make magic together.

What if Caution was released in 1994 (86,716)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I was just thinking today that if Caution was released in 1994, MC would have given us some powerhouse vocals. GTFO would have been sung in the same airy vocal style similar to Underneath The Stars. 8th Grade would have been sung in a higher key with MC's vocals swooping over Timbaland's keyboard programming. Giving Me Life's vocals would sound stronger and better. One Mo Gen's vocals wouldn't be so hard to understand as MC sings in that fast rapping style. Stay Long Love You would have some strong whistle notes at the end of the song. Caution would have some stronger Fantasy type vocals. Portrait would have been that powerhouse vocal with a gospel choir that Caution is missing. With You would have been sung in a totally different way. It would have been We Belong Together 1994.

Merry Christmas (86,630)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I think as a vocalist, MC was at her finest on Merry Christmas. When I listen to the Merry Christmas album on vinyl, I can hear her lovely tone and fullness of her voice so clearly. Also, the dual disc CD version of the album brings out the same clarity in CD form. AIWFC just may make Hot 100 top 5 this year. Radio is playing it like crazy this year.

I really think Missy is going to be on the remix. If she jumps on it, MC is going to have her first 10 pop hits since Obsessed.

No, he just receives credit for providing additional production. Missy could add some flavor on the remix hook. She has a very distinctive voice. She can add a short verse at the end of the remix like she said on Not Tonight' "Y'all aren't gonna leave me just to be singing hooks."

Re: Mariah sales (86,474) (86,475)

There was a disconnect with the general buying public and radio programmers that took place after Rainbow. Her breakdown and Glitter only escalated that disconnect. When Through The Rain was released, Pop radio wouldn't play it. It only garnered some airplay on Adult A/C radio. So fast forward to We Belong Together [Webmaster: WBT was her 16th number one hit] and Touch My Body as her 17th and 18th number one hits, it was all because of LA. Reid pushed those songs to the media and radio programmers to play Mariah Carey. But today, the buying public is really not interested in Mariah's diva persona because she is seen unrelateable with the music she is delivering to world. I can remember during her album promotions she was always involved in some type of humanitarian effort or annual social event like Camp Mariah. None of my friends or co-workers like Mariah Carey. People just don't get who she is anymore. The buying public seems to stop liking an artist if they have some type of so called weirdness about them like a mental illness or a over grown persona. Look at what happened to Michael Jackson and Madonna. Maybe A No No remix will make the buying public listen to Mariah again. I tweeted an article about the remix happening and my 980 followers went crazy about my one tweet. It was liked 40 times and retweeted 16 times by others who followed my followers. So the interest is there for something new and exciting that Mariah will bring to the table.

Re: GTFO - the greatest album opener (86,453) (86,466)
by Bobby A from United States

Great observation. Giving My Life was probably one of the first songs recorded. This is how I think the last 4 years went down in the studio from the first song recorded to the last song recorded. 1. GTFO 2. With You 3. Giving Me Life 4. The Distance 5. One Mo Gen Poo Bear Sessions in Spring 2018 6. 8th Grade 7. Runway 8. A No No 9. Portrait 10. Stay Long Love You 11. Caution

I used to do the same thing last week until I just focused on the chorus during an accidental play after 8th Grade. And just last night, I heard the short breakdown towards the end of the song. It really is a feel good song as MC said. It could be one of songs she chooses for the Caution World Tour set list because it doesn't have a lot of key changes. She better perform Giving Me Life as the opener. I love this song now. We need a mashup with The Roof. It is definitely The Roof Part 2.

GTFO - the greatest album opener (86,452)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Before Caution came out, I was concerned how GTFO was going to fit into the context of Caution. GTFO is MC's most aggressive track ever. But after two weeks, GTFO is MC's greatest album opener.
