About Bobby A from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Shezz, isn't it great? I can't believe I said MC16 would never happen. MC did keep us waiting a long time, but I am elated from from ear to ear right now.

Mariah alerts (109,064) by Bobby A from United States
Mimi, you are on it. I like your posts. Keep it coming with your reporting. I saw these lyrics on UKMix this morning and I said MC ain't playing with the lyrics this time. Obessesd meets Clown lyrics in her notebook. I said it on Monday that Type Dangerous was going to be how the men in her life have affected her and how she approaches men these days.

Type: Dangerous (109,063) by Bobby A from United States
Lambs have been crazy all day on X. I haven't seen Lambs this hyped since ILT and TEOM dropped 20 years ago. I have written down several things different about the start of this era. This is not GTFO or I Don't. Something feels different about Type Dangerous to start the new era.

1. MC took her time releasing new music despite pressure from Lambs for 4 years.
2. Anderson .Paak inspired MC in the studio.
3. For the first time ever, MC used a previous album to launch a new album. She was so clever with her date hint that we missed that a new era would be starting on that date. Genius MC.
4. MC took control of launching her new era instead of her new label. We found out three days later that gamma. is her new label from Lambs posting presaving Type Dangerous screenshots. I suspect a gamma. official annoucement will come tomorrow.
5. MC stepped out of her comfort zone for this era by working with new producers, songwriters, artists, and mending an old relationship with Walter A. This era doesn't feel like JD will be involved, but I wouldn't be mad if he had a couple of songs on MC16. However, I don't think we will hear "Y'all know what this is" on MC16.
6. This will be MC's first summer album release since her debut album. Just another reminder of a full circle era is starting tomorrow.

Jamie, I was just thinking the same thing about Walter A. and MC. Hopefully, Lambi can find out for sure. He does respond to social media messages from time to time. If they are on good terms now, it could be possible that he does have some new songs on MC16 to relive their magic again after 28 years.

Financial terrorism (109,050) by Bobby A from United States
Lambi, can you find out if all is good with Walter A. and MC now in 2025? I like your paralegal skills and I know you can find out if the two dynamic collaborators are on good terms now. If he has 3-5 songs on MC16, then this era will be her second comeback for sure.

Great. I was hoping that was the case. I want a video with a storyline with cliffhanger ending like in ILT.

Article: Mariah announces "MC16" album coming this summer (109,040) by Bobby A from United States
Jack Antonoff's production credits are impressive. I want to hear what the two have created. I am sure what Sabrina Capenter, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, and Sza have released in the past two years caught MC's attention. A sharper genre-blending sound is exactly what's happening on the pop charts these days.

MC16 (109,027) by Bobby A from United States
Hot 97 New York is reporting MC16 is coming this summer. They said MC scrapped earlier versions of the project for a sharper genre-blending direction. Production from Jack Antonoff and a duet with country male singer Bailey Zimmerman is in the mix as well.

MC16 wish list (109,011) by Bobby A from United States
Randy, I believe MC got our memo after seven years. Lol. I really feel MC16 is going to be a perfect match of great vocals and tracks to go with MC's current voice. These new songs definitely will not be sung in the key of Emotions or Fantasy. We will find out Friday hard she has been working in the studio for past 4 years.

Type: Dangerous (109,010) by Bobby A from United States
MC loves provacative song and album titles. I just wonder if Type: Dangerous is a poke at the men who have had some type affect on her life and how she approaches new relationships now. I listened to Obsessed and Clown today just to wonder what MC will say in T:D. By the way, the distorted video and audio today was a genius move along with MC wearing the t-shirt. The song we heard in the background of today's video had a flow to it reminisce of the 70s the Jones Girls classic, You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else. Anyway at least we know T:D isn't GTFO or I Don't with Anderson .Paak and Rae Khalil co-writing.

MC16 (108,992) by Bobby A from United States
Stacey, I didn't have any side dishes ready, but I do have some tea today. Type: Dangerous samples Eric B. Is President and possibly Dennis Edward's Don't Look Any Further. I suspect that Anderson .Paak produced T:D because he loves to use 70s and 80s samples. MC said at her Mimi anniversary Spotify listening party yesterday that "We will know a whole lot of things on June 6th." She is one of the Ultimate Icon honorees at the BET Awards on June 9th. Also, she will be performing as well. It is going around on the web that MC has signed a distribution deal with Atlantic Records. Finally, Kristofer Buckle replied to a fan yesterday on his Instagram account about MC16 and he said, "It's worth the wait." I guess Anderson .Paak probably said to MC let's create some new music and get your album completed.

Tevin, you are a wonderful Lamb. Apologies accepted. Thank you. I enjoy your posts as always. I am so excited today that new music is on the way. Is WYT the follow-up to ILT? Anyway, maybe my dysgraphia will get under control now. I have been messing up my posts with a lot of grammar errors lately.

Music Box vs Daydream (108,964) by Bobby A from United States
Lambi, sorry for thinking you were also Baby from Dreamville. Your posts are simliar in length and style to Baby from Dreamville. Maybe he or she will post today. I am glad you are here on the board. Please stick around for as long as you would like. I hope you understand that we are a tight group of board members who only want the best for MC. We have been through all of MC's highs and lows in the past 30 years. We can get very defensive questioning some of her professional decisions. However, it seems like we can all be happy again today because MC16 is finally on the way.

Article: Mariah Carey teases 16th studio album (108,963) by Bobby A from United States
This is a surprise this morning. What's Your Type? - must be the first single. Is that the question she asked Anderson .Paak? Lol. You know it is funny that we get this news today. I sent an X message yesterday to Rae Khalil, Anderson .Paak's songwriting partner asking her if WBT part 2 was on the way. Also, I sent an X message yesterday to MC, Barbra, Ariana, and some pop morning show radio hosts (Bert Ferguson, Elvis Duran, and IHeart Radio) if they were ready for One Heart One Voice to take over radio in 26 days. MC and her team must have plan to capitalize on the OHOV release this month. Are we ready for MC to take over radio this summer? Isn't this what we having wanting for 3 years?

Music Box vs Daydream (108,948) by Bobby A from United States
I thought my speculation three weeks ago was correct. Lambi is Baby from Dreamville's alternate ego. I could never pull off a second account knowing how my writing style and tone is so recognizable. Writing this post makes me think about how my old mate Andrew would call me out so many times for my opinions and predictions. Anyway, Lambi/Baby from Dreamville must be watching how Y&R is dragging out this Aristotle Dumas huge reveal.

Whisper tone (108,944) by Bobby A from United States
MC stopped singing in the whisper tone completely with MIAM and Caution. She either can't do it anymore or has realized what it did to her voice. I believe that she tried to do it on GTFO, but it didn't sound right for the Porter Robinson sample. The girly voice is what we got instead.

Bill, don't you dare go back into hibernation. I am enjoying you posting again. The newbies weren't around during MC's glory days like most of us. We remember when we were like that handsome guy in the Hero video who was shaking his head in awe of MC's excellent vocal skills and technique at 3:10.

Say Somethin Solange remix (108,935) by Bobby A from United States
In my Arnold voice from Different Strokes, whatcha talkin bout Lambi? Lol. Solange has a sound that millions of R&B fans love. Cranes In The Sky won her a Grammy award. She added the Solange vibe to Say Somethin. I am writing your post in my Mariah book. Lol.

Nasty, nasty comment (108,928) by Bobby A from United States
We all believe MC has one more great album in her. We just got to get through all of the bumps and curves in the road to get there. I feel we are going find out this year why it is taking her so long to release a new album. At the moment some of her current decisions and behaviors are concerning. It is almost reminisce of her personal and professional struggles between 1999-2001 just without the media coverage. The media is just cutting her some slack right now because there are too many other celebrities more newsworthy right now. I guess we should be thankful that they are leaving MC alone.

Mariah Carey had 50-11 nose jobs but still insecure about "bad side"? (108,909) by Bobby A from United States
I love your analysis of MC's voice as always. I believe MC sings I Am Free as a Sunday morning hymn. I have felt always that MC became emotional during the recording of I Am Free. Maybe that is the disjointed melisma that you hear. I feel Christian singers Laura Daigle and Brandon Lake never sound the same from album to album. Both singers have unique raspy voices that both use for the emotional effect in their songs, especially Lauren Daigle.
