About B from USA: Slowly but surely®™ The Vindication of B ®™

"There are people called haters and we give them positivity" MC

My 2 cents (45,481) by B from USA
I'm happy. Mariah made the type of music she loves. The type of music I want from her. Yes, this era has been messy but it hasn't made me think any less of her or the album. She's still the greatest. Kids these days don't know what real talent is. Sad but true.

Thoughts (45,462) by B from USA
E=MC2: Migrate, TMB, Cruise Control, Side Effects, Thanks 4 Nothin', For The Record, and I'm That Chick are my favorites. She sounds so confident on this album. She's at the top of her game. Bone Thugs: Breakdown is one of my favorite songs. I also love the I Still Believe remix. Me I Am Mariah: This album is hardly experimental. It's Mariah doing what she does best, singing R&B songs. Memoirs is hardly a commercial record. In my opinion it's her least commercial album. It's more experimental than MIAM. Triumphant: Mariah learned her lesson. None of the songs on MIAM sound like Triumphant. She's not stupid. Record deal: I'm not sure she needs a record company. I don't think she needs someone to tell her what to do. She needs someone like LA Reid who will encourage her. Someone that knows the industry but also understands artist. With the right team behind her she could go the independent route. JD: He's not management material. He's an enabler. I think his relationship with Mariah is strained. He's making comments that suggest she's to blame for the albums poor sales . She's not, he is. He's not capable of promoting a star of her caliber. He's past his prime and he's using her and his position to maintain some semblance of relevance.

Talley (45,399) by B from USA
Andre Leon Talley did dress Mariah during The Emancipation Of Mimi era. She looked so classy.

Me I am Mariah (45,387) by B from USA
Critics have praised this album, saying it's one of her best. I agree. She's still relevant. #Beautiful proved she's still capable of scoring a hit. Her image is the problem. Her diva antics are over the top and the general public think of her as an out of touch ego maniac. She needs to appear humble and grateful for her achievements. She needs to hire a real manager. A star of her caliber deserves a manager like Benny Medina. She needs a stylist. Rachel Zoe could transform her in to a style icon. Or whoever dressed during her stint on AI. She proved she can act. Her talent is undeniable. She's a living legend and she's still releasing quality material twenty four years into her illustrious career. This era hasn't tarnished her legacy.

Music videos (45,346) by B from USA
I hope Mariah decides to release Faded as a future single. A video for Faded could be of her writing in her diary reflecting on a lost love with faded pictures coming to life of happier times.

Question (45,330) by B from USA
Wasn't she in Paris filming a video for YDKWTD? And she filmed a commercial with Brett Ratner for the Butterfly beverage, right? That's what I read somewhere.

Me I am Mariah (45,321) by B from USA
Mariah waited until she lost weight to film a video for YDKWTD. She wanted to look her best. She's insecure about her appearance, always has been. I believe she also filmed a commercial for her new Butterfly beverage using Thirsty. She is using the beverage deal to promote her music which in this day and age is a smart business decision. I don't think she's done with this album. I honestly think she wanted to look her best before she started filming videos and doing televised appearances. She knows the type of deal she'll get offered next depends on the performance of this album. I believe JD. There is a plan in motion. This album has the potential. I think it's to soon to tell if YDKWTD is going to be the hit it deserves to be but I think it will. I heard it played on Sirius Hits and it sounded amazing.

Favorite (45,278) by B from USA
My favorite Mariah Carey video is The Roof. It's dark, moody, and edgy. Mariah looks amazing.

Mariah (45,236) by B from USA
If Mariah went on Fallon appearing humble and funny and sang YDKWTD (in Versace and Louboutins, of course) and premiered a sneak peak of an amazing video directed by Brett Ratner she could turn this around and score the hit she desperately needs. I have faith she's still able it's up to her. If JD or Mariah reads this blog they should follow this game plan. She needs Benny or a manger of his caliber. She's Mariah Carey. She's an icon. A living legend. Start appearing humble and grateful for your success and put more effort into your answers. Or only talk about the music. Keep your private life private like you did before you met Nick. By the way, keep Nick out of the studio, off of video/photo shoots, and make him shut up. He has tarnished America's sweeetheart by making silly comments and piggybacking off of her to increase his fame. He even told the world he slept with Kim Kardashian. No one knew that or needed to. You're married to Mariah Carey, she's one of the most beautiful women in the world and the best singer male or female of our time.

Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse (45,228) by B from USA
At first I was disappointed that the lyrics weren't included. Now I understand it was a marketing ploy. Everytime someone listens to the album and thinks what did she say/sing/write on a ceartin song they look it up. Hoping she does release the lyrics like she said she was going to. I'm loving this album. You're Mine is not another We Belong Together, it sounds more like Don't Forget About Us. I don't understand why YM flopped, it's a great song. I disagree YM and Supernatural do not weigh the album down lyrically. This album is a lyrical masterpiece. Her last album that was as cohesive lyrically was Butterfly. Brillant. Mariah can turn this around. She's got an album loaded with potential singles.

Clams poisoning (45,211) by Mike RC from Spain (45,212) by B from USA
Thanks, Mike for the info on the situation going on at the time between Mariah and Luis and his ex. Makes sense. After watching her sister struggle with addiction I highly doubt Mariah would use drugs. I know she drinks and makes references to marijuana in some songs like It's Like That. I think her vocal issues have been caused by age. Even with the vocal decline over the last decade she still has her voice. Her range seems the same. She can still reach high and low notes no other singer not even Whitney could. She's being bashed because of the way she dresses and the low sales, not her music. Critics have praised this album as a return to form. Saying that this returns her to her musical sweet spot.

Cry analysis (45,210) by B from USA
Cell: A body of persons forming a single unit. Imprudently, lacking discretion, boldly. She's talking about how she left behind a part of herself or lost a part of herself when the relationship was over. She jumped into a relationship knowing they both had flaws and issues and regrets how things played out. She also takes responsibility for her part. Hopefully that helps you understand those lyrics better. I know loooking the words up helped me. Bless our souls, is her way of asking God to help them both heal and move on.

Elizabeth Taylor (45,204) by B from USA
I read Elizabeth Taylor's bio and her PR team released a statement about food poisioning from clams or crab as a cover story for her overdose. Reading that made me think of Mariah during the Rainbow era. She even made a joke about attack of the killer crabs/clams at the Divas Live show. Does anyone else remember this?

Best album of 2014 (45,158) by B from USA
Me I Am Mariah is the best album of 2014. This album is deserving of the Best Contemporary R&B Album Grammy Award. #Beautiful deserved a nomination last year. Katy Perry is a poor man's Britney. Who cares what she thinks? Wendy needs to take her act to Vegas. Oh wait she has no talent. She makes up stories and spreads lies as facts.

Me I am Mariah (45,138) by B from USA
First I'd like to say I think Mariah should have titled the album Me I am Mariah. The Elusive Chantuese part of the title while as clever as it may sound is off putting. Reffering to herself is fine but she might as well have titled it The Elusive Diva. She's hardly elusive. She's everywhere. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I think this is one of her best albums. She proofed she's still got it twenty-four years later. She's the premiere female vocalist of our time. Treasure her talent as not only a singer but songwriter and producer. Stucking your teeth don't mess with my mood.

Faded (45,112) by B from USA
I love this song. It needs to be a future single. Make It Look Good, Dedicated, and Meteorite all deserve the single treatment.

Me I am Mariah (45,103) by B from USA
Memoirs and Mariah's image are to blame for the disappointing sales. MC and Def Jam dropped the ball with the promotion. I hope Mariah and Def Jam work overtime to promote YDKWTD. #Beautiful proved MC's still relevant she just needs a good song and YDKWTD is a great song. Another reason for these sales figures: illegal downloads. Why buy something when you can get it for free?

Hold up (44,976) by B from USA
She said something like if I had the luxury of not writing my own songs I'd get 8 hours of sleep a night and something about being able to see how soulful and deep J.Lo was/is by looking in her eyes.

J.Lo (44,973) by B from USA
J.Lo was hardly a new artist when the loop for Firecracker was stolen. She knew what was going on. She's not stupid.

Monroe (44,900) by B from USA
I think Mariah means Monroe likes the finer things in life. I don't get the brat comment. She's a little girl. Little girls like gems and high heels. Mariah's closet would be heaven on earth for a girly girl.
