I would love for them to highlight MC's legendary career so that people who think she is a ditzy diva take a moment and think "How did this woman get two back to back song of the decades, still hot #18's and managed to keep her position as the longest running #1 single of all time for 20 darn yearns. I didn't get the full version, just the ending. TheOne, there is no need to feel stupid, maybe you didn't see it the way I (and some of the others) saw it. So now you have a different perspective. I get where your initial perspective came from, I too have wanted Mariah to dress more appropriately and clothes that fit her properly, but that's in the case of gowns and dresses and all. This bodysuit is an homage to herself, a costume, and for that I don't mind it. I love it and I am happy to see her having the guts to wear it. Ethan, I think the bodysuit is a better idea. I know she's in Vegas, but I think the rumor started because she has a residency show on the same day. So yeah. Anyways, I am not paying it much heed. I would love her performance at the BBMAs to include her previous hits. I was getting frustrated that none of the major awards shows are celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of the most influential artists of all time and a living legend. (Tuesday 5 May 2015; 23:12)

I haven't heard any other singer being named an "inspiration" for the current lot of A list singers than the number of people who cite MC as their musical inspiration. So many major celebs went to see Britney perform and that too on the same night, it got a lot of press coverage. MC has influenced so many artists in her 25 years in the business, I hope they have the courtesy to show their support towards her by going to Vegas. I'm looking at you Beyonce, Rihanna, Sam Smith and what have you. So many of them will already be there for the BBMAs and all. (Tuesday 5 May 2015; 21:31)

BBMA (52,871) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Excited. *high pitched squeal* I wonder what she'll perform. A medley of the 1's to promote Vegas or Infinity to promote her latest single. I can't decide which will be better. Singing the #1's may introduce her to more people who are not aware of her catalogue while at the same time celebrate her 25th year in the business, after all she is holding 2 major records on the BB charts. But at the same time Infinity needs to be promoted until it's dry and it's a song that can easily catch the attention of the younger music lovers. What do you guys think? (Tuesday 5 May 2015; 18:29)

The "Honey" bodysuit (52,870) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I, for one, don't mind the black bodysuit she wore for Honey (I am assuming that's the one since the outfit is taken from the video). I have been rooting for her to wear some of her iconic outfits and the black bodysuit (along with the nude two piece) is as iconic as it gets. Her legs might look thicker because the shot was take from way above. Possibly one of the higher views. Because she is pretty thin now. Even if her legs are like that for real, I'm glad she's confident enough to wear that outfit. It's a performance. It's Vegas. It has to be over the top. I'm rooting for more throwback iconic outfits. One direction (52,846) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I was listening to some 1D tracks and I loved how they sound. They write their own material and they have really mature voices. I would love it if MC at some point collaborates with them or gets them to perform one of her duets (maybe TGIFY or OSD) at Vegas or a major awards show with her. They are a talented group of boys and I bet they can come up with great material collaborating with MC. It might sound a little weird to imagine them collaborating but I think it would be great and something new. Just an idea. (Tuesday 5 May 2015; 3:19)

Las Vegas / B (52,831) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter People going to Las Vegas can you please give us detailed (as much as possible) descriptions about the show and the alleged surprises. I saw the completed set for VOL today. I think there is one set with a huge butterfly. Can't be sure but I saw the sketch of a butterfly and on the picture of MC and Michael, I think you can see a little bit of the butterfly. B, I saw the MV clip you are talking about, but turns out it was just a snippet and Mariah herself later said that they had just finished shooting the beginning of the video during her interviews on the night of her Vegas arrival. She mentioned they didn't finish the video yet. Anyways I hope it's done soon. I really love the song and have given it multiple spins everyday. I hope it charts really well. I just listened to Britney's "Pretty Girls" today, horrible. Thank the good Lord for Mariah. (Monday 4 May 2015; 21:54)

Whatever we post should only be our opinions (and people should also take it as opinions) and not be portrayed as facts. Let's not try to force our opinions down each others throat and call out people for their opinions. It's hard when we all feel so passionately about MC but we should try. And please no more of the "fair weather fans versus true lamb" bull crap. That topic has been milked dry by now. We all are here because at some level we feel connected to Mariah and we love her. Let everyone voice their opinions and if you don't agree just state why your opinions differ but don't try to make others agree with you. Let's all just be respectful to each other and towards Mariah and try to engage in a healthy discussion or debate. No need to bring on the abuse. I don't think anyone who doesn't love Mariah atleast on some level has the time or need to post on this board so from that I'll assume everyone here is a fan whether they like something she puts out or not. Interviews (52,620) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I said it a few posts back but I just had to say it again, MC is just doing so good on these interviews. She is owning up to her status as a legend, she seems to have left no questions barred. I mean they are asking her about her vocal issues, lip syncs, Nick Cannon and body and she is answering them all so calmly yet in an unapologetic manner. No more of the hair flips, using hair as a curtain, mumbling random things. Now she seriously comes across as a serious person, who knows her sh*t. She's confident and straight forward, composed and above all she is doing all these without making it look like she is trying too hard. (Thursday 30 April 2015; 17:28)

Ryan from Canada / Wendy (52,611) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I don't know if people viewed the video "because" of Wendy, but here's what happened. In Wendy's recent episode, she talks about MC and Infinity and she reads out a few quotes from the song and says "she wins" (as in MC wins the fight between her and Nick). She also laughs at how Nick promoted the song not knowing its about him. So she goes on to state something like well if MC nails Vegas and all then she can make a comeback. So she looks at the audience and goes "Right?" The audience look a little apprehensive and they don't "clap loud" (clapping would indicate they agree that MC can make a comeback). So Wendy tries to be condescending towards MC and say ok I'll take this poll again and asks the audience if they think she can make a comeback. This time the audience claps like crazy and Wendy starts yelling that "You guys are two faced, you just said no. Tell me your real opinion." Then she asks them for the third time and they all say "no", which obviously delights Wendy to no end. Oh and MC's so called "in show" lamb at Wendy's, that guy Norman, again agrees with Wendy that he doesn't like the new song. Now I don't have a problem with people not feeling the song, but I feel like Norman just pretends to be a lamb so that Wendy can show people that even MC's fans don't like her. Anyways Wendy does add that this song proves MC doesn't want anything to do with Nick whereas previously one would feel sorry for MC that she desperately wants Nick back. Giselle (52,604) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter By the way your name is one of my favorites. I always liked it. Anyways, I do agree with you about the dress. I get that it's Vegas and it's over the top, but MC could have had hundred of over the top dress choices if she wanted. That dress did not look great and in an event where she is the main and only star and all eyes (and cameras) are on her, this dress wasn't a wise choice because of photos from unflattering angles. The line of beads or whatever running across the the hip bone through the lower stomach area was very unflattering. The black dress she wore later fit her really well and she looked great in it. Also about Rachel, I have been wondering where she is too. She has always been around her. Not that I am dying for her to be with MC at the moment, before this era started I was going on about how I wish MC would drop Rachel as her choreographer. Rachel had no good choreography for Mariah. It was me who mentioned it in one of my posts and I was just making a wild guess. While making the guess I had the Honey remix video in mind and so I just wrote it. Interviews (52,600) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter MDJ has posted the interview with mashable. It's the same one which Baby posted a while back, only this is not the periscope version. It's a proper camera version where you can see them conducting the interview with the iPhone on a selfie stick. Anyways that one is clearer and without interruptions. I am really loving how Mariah is being so sweet and composed in these videos. What a 180 from her Chanteuse interview days. (Thursday 30 April 2015; 8:22)

Lyrics (52,542) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter No disrespect to anyone and I appreciate diversified opinions, but I am confused why some are hating on the lyrics mainly "acting corny like Fritos". That line is hilarious and it's the line that is making headlines. My initial problem with the song was the chorus and the "why you're mad, talking about you mad" which now no longer is a problem. I always liked the verses and the witty lyrics. I never felt like she was trying too hard. These lyrics are very Mariah. I also do not completely agree with the statements that it is not up to the level of any of her number 1s. Any is the keyword here. So to that my respond to that is hello? Touch My Body anyone? This song is no WBT or LTT (by which I mean deep). But MC's latest #1 is very much in the same line as Infinity. That's also what she probably meant when she said she wants to sing the #1's chronologically because she wants to show her evolution as a writer. Not only is Infinity like many other (although it is quite fresh) MC songs, it is also right up there with some of her top ten hits like SIO and Obsessed and even Loverboy (I included this because the lyrics weren't exactly deep and it was more of a "fun" record). With Infinity MC takes the fun a little further by making light of her sorrow. I agree with the person who said this is more Mariah than Hero (which we all know she isn't a fan of). This is like a child of SIO and Hero. I know I might get killed for comparing it to the ever sacred "Hero" but it is what it is. (Wednesday 29 April 2015; 13:14)
