New focuses (51,804) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Whatever, I give up, no use complaining about the CD anymore since it's already finalized so I'll try to move on and focus on other Mariah things. Which is the new single. I want to hear it and see the video because she sounds really confident about both the song and the video like she knows it will be a hit. I don't really doubt Mariah's ability to get a hit even now because she had one with #Beautiful, which unfortunately was abandoned and could have done better. I have been checking out MC's videos with Brett Ratner again for the last few days and with the right budget he always delivers and I get a feeling that Sony did give them a decent budget. After all MC doing well is also important for them and if they get the credit of reviving the career of the biggest vocalist then it would bring them good publicity too. So anyways yes, I hope Mariah drops few surprises here and there maybe in the form of appearances or a documentary to keep us busy until Vegas. I also really hope she tapes at least one of the Vegas shows so that people who can't make it to Vegas can get the experience. Because it has been mentioned various times that she has a lot of different ideas planned for it and I want to see them come to life. (Tuesday 14 April 2015; 8:59)

Ok last rant (51,718) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mariah's entire fanbase was there all day and night (in my case) helping her unlock a darn album cover. There was a two day countdown just for an album cover. I love the cover but was a two day countdown necessary? Even if it was, I think her fans should have been rewarded with snippets or a single or whatever. All this publicity for just one new track? I hope I have to bite my words and that there are new surprises, but as of now I feel betrayed. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong by Mariah regarding my opinion now, but I think that after all the support we show her, she should have had done something more. The album (51,715) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I really hope MC announces that all the tracks are updated versions or something. I really wasn't a big fan of the idea of another #1's album. I mean people make their own playlists now and everyone already has these songs. So the only reason I eventually warmed up to the idea was because I thought that's how she wanted to celebrate her 25 years and also since there were rumors that there a lot of surprises in the album like new tracks (plural) and surprise duet versions of the #1's. Then there was also the buzz of the demo being included. But seriously, no I just can't accept that there is only one new song. Only the real fans would buy this album and even then some real fans will pass (and I can't blame) them. This album is not going to be bought by the general public. Compilation albums generally don't even sell much and on top of that if its an album that only has songs that people have listened to a million times what's the incentive to buy it? Two consecutive flop albums, Mariah can't afford to have another one. Compilation album or not, people won't get into details, they'll just blow up failure. (Monday 13 April 2015; 17:08)

So what happened to that? If she was re-recording them, then I'd probably be fine with just one new song (even though I'd prefer at least 4 new tracks) because at least the songs would be updated versions. Album cover (51,706) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I never understand why people make such a big deal out of a CD/magazine cover being heavily photoshopped. I agree with the person who said that if I was on a CD/magazine cover, I'd make them photoshop it until I look flawless and enviable. I'm sorry but it's an artwork, nobody claimed it's a candid shot. So no one is lying. It's not a deception. And what would MC really get by putting on her real body on the cover? She'll be made fun of eitherways. People fat shame her on a daily basis. People are photoshop-shaming her now. I'd rather look fabulous (even if it is with the help of photoshop) and be made fun of rather than have a bad photo circulated. I don't think anyone in this day and age is naive enough to not know that every photoshoot is heavily photoshopped. My two cents. I don't care about the photoshop, what pissed me off is that she included only one new song on this album. (Monday 13 April 2015; 16:28)

HomeSlice (51,681) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I am glad some one else notices these apart from me haha. Most people think the same font has been used for her name on the album/single covers all these 25 years (except for the obvious change in E=MC2). But I have always noticed that they changed the font when she went to Island and the change started from Charmbracelet and was there until MIAM. Now she is back to the old font used in her Sony days. The fonts look really similar, but are slightly different. (Monday 13 April 2015; 5:54)

With just a few hours left, I'll be honest, I am really nervous, with the internet going crazy thinking what will Mariah reveal, I'm scared that at this point an album cover reveal will piss some people off because they have been waiting for two days. Now I know the link shared has the words "album artwork reveal" but I don't think people really saw it because they are still debating as to what the reveal might be and also the "artwork reveal" part is not appearing in all places. Abraham (51,597) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I really like Triumphant and I actually don't even mind the rappers. I like the song as it is. I do like the additional part she recorded for the remix, and it would have been great if someone it could have been incorporated in the main song, but I have nothing but love for this song. It's very uplifting for me. I also adore the video. Very glamorous and I love the gold accents all over the video. That's what Mariah is, pure gold. I am not a fan of the #Beautiful video, but I love how she looked in it. She was gorgeous and didn't look even close to 40. I hope Sony gives her a decent budget for videos. I don't want to have another H.A.T.E.U. moment, which was also directed by Brett but was not good due to low budget. But I think the new video will be great because MC said it will blow our minds. If she is so confident about it, she must have struck gold with this video. (Sunday 12 April 2015; 11:21)

RJJ12 (51,591) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It bugs me to say this (mainly because I absolutely adore the video of Say Somethin') but I have to agree with you that it was a weak song. The Neptunes didn't even try on this track. I sometimes like this song, and maybe I'll dig it up and listen to it but that happens quite rarely. It's sexy and all but whatever it does for me, I'd say So Lonely does better. Obviously the two are completely different in sound and music but the sensual lyrics and message of desire is pretty much the same. I however absolutely love the video and MC looks great in it, otherwise I wouldn't mind if the track was not on the album. Also I get what you mean about the countdown. It's exciting and all but I think a 6 hour countdown would have been more than enough if it was just to reveal an album cover. As much as I want to see it, having to hyperventilate for 2 days for a picture is not fun. However the Sony China notice gives me some hope that if not Sunday then by Monday we might get a huge announcement. Am I being to greedy? (Sunday 12 April 2015; 6:17)

Warren and Bill (51,590) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Warren, I would have no problem believing that because Your Girl is a good summer song and I have many a time heard it on repeat, trying to pretend I can hit those notes. But like I said, I have a love hate relationship with it and sometimes end up skipping it. You are absolutely right when you say MC caters to everyone because Triumphant is a song I really love and it's very uplifting for me but I know that majority of the lambs hate it, so that's why I have come to accept that we all have different choices. Bill, To The Floor is one of my favourites too. I love the song and the vocals are so sultry and the song is sexy yet laid back. MC's vocals are sexy and for some reason like you said "free" sounds like the most appropriate description. The backs no forth flirting between MC and Nelly shows their chemistry. Timariah (51,583) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mine Again and Circles are far from being album fillers. They are true gems of TEOM. Apart from the singles these are the two I listen to the most from this album although this album really had no bad track. I have a love-hate relationship with Your Girl. I sometimes really enjoy it, but at other times I tend to skip it. But the other two you mentioned are amazing songs. (Saturday 11 April 2015; 20:44)

AIWFCIY (51,577) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter For all those hoping that AIWFCIY is included in the new #1's I think your wish will be granted because her cover photo includes the single cover of the song and it is the only song in the photo that didn't hit #1. All the other photos in the collage are obviously her other 18 #1's. So including AIWFCIY's artwork may be the obvious sign that it's gonna be part of the collection which is fitting because #1 on Billboard hot 100 or not, this song is legendary. It was sexy yet classy and she looked every bit the gorgeous sophisticated diva. Her hair, makeup, accessories and everything was on point. Did you guys see her new picture with Lee Daniels? She looks gorgeous there too. She is really working on her image. About Janet, so I read this article about the single and this one fan also talked about it but now for the life of me, I can't find a single article about her single so sorry for raising a false alarm. I should have done my research first. Anyways, back to Mariah. I'm glad how things are going this era and I hope it steadily gets better. The internet is going crazy over the major reveal. I know in many places it says that the cover art will be revealed, but I also read Sony China claims there is a huge announcement coming up so I can't help but think there might be more to it. Plus tying in the reveal with the release date of TEOM might be a hint that there will be more than the cover art. (Saturday 11 April 2015; 11:04)

Could this finally be the Mariah featuring Janet song that fans have been demanding for so long? Don't want to get too excited but I can just imagine a song with simultaneous laid back and up tempo beats with MC doing the laid back sexy part and Janet bringing on the up tempo moves to get our grooves on. Since it will be revealed at the 10th anniversary of TEOM, it might be a huge reveal, but at this point I'll take whatever info MC throws my way.
