About Stacey from USA: Been a fan since 1993. Favorite albums include Daydream, TEOM, and Music Box. I love a good discussion, but won't stand for hateful comments because we disagree. I am too old to deal with drama and so are you. Keep it real with me and we'll have some fun. Peace.

Re: FILAC (98,849) (98,850) by Stacey from USA
I felt the same. Two different songs spliced together. But overall it's a lovely song. It's different from your typical Christmas song. I get the opinion of some who say it doesn't feel like a Christmas song. But I think that's exactly why I like it. I can listen to AIWFCIY, classic songs from Bing Crosby and Andy Williams, and then switch to FILAC. It's a beautiful song. The fa-la-la-fall in love bridge is genius.

Fall In Love at Christmas (98,837) by Stacey from USA
Love the vibe of this song. The arrangement is so amazing. I get a My All/After Tonight vibe. My only question is at the 3:36 mark. Seems like one song ends and another begins. I might just download the song and separate the two. Haha. I listened to a bit of AIWFCIY today. Let the Christmas season begin.

Re: Easy on me (98,767) (98,773) by Stacey from USA
My heart beats just fine. I'm living proof, lol. Adele just rubs me the wrong way. If others like her voice, that's great. I change the station every time her songs come on the radio. Carey on.

Re: Easy on me (98,750) (98,760) by Stacey from USA
Everytime I hear Adele on the radio, I ask myself, am I the only one who does not care for her at all? Then I change the station. I can't stand her voice.

Re: Mimi is also immature (98,712) (98,722) by Stacey from USA
Exactly. Navigating the junior high to high school years is hard enough without adding the craziness with social media. My daughter just turned 13. My hubby and I got her a phone, her first one. No social media. She can try Instagram once she hits high school then Facebook once she's an adult and decide for herself.

Agree. I like the song. I like the sound.

Re: Wish/Could've beens list #1s (98,678) (98,690) by Stacey from USA
Should have been a single. Missed opportunity. I can't believe no one has thought of this before now.

Re: Hero 2021 (98,668) (98,671) by Stacey from USA
That performance is what made me a fan. I had the TV on and the video for Hero started playing. It was like a scene out of a movie. MC started singing and I turned around slowly. "What was this voice I was hearing?" So yeah, moments like that need to be left alone. They are to be enjoyed.

Re: Kelly Clarkson (98,660) (98,663) by Stacey from USA
That's great. Good for Kelly. I still think it is funny anyone believes any song can compete with AIWFCIY. But to each their own.

Re: Kelly Clarkson (98,655) (98,658) by Stacey from USA
Exactly. Plus, a break up song during Christmas doesn't make sense to me. When you think of Christmas love songs, you think of songs that bring folks together. Cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies don't see the end where the couple breaks up. They end with that resolution kiss. Sorry Kelly, Underneath The Tree is a far superior song. Christmas Is Not Cancelled (Just You)? Pass.

Re: Kelly Clarkson (98,653) (98,657) by Stacey from USA
You're kidding, right? This is AIWFCIY. The song that defines Christmas. A song that went #1 after 25 years. Next.

Do we even know if MC is planning on releasing a part 2?

Mariah got this wrong. Period.

Re: Did anybody catch the shade? (98,617) (98,619) by Stacey from USA
Bless those of us who threw away our rose colored sunglasses a long time ago. Those other kids are Roc and Roe's half siblings whether MC wants to acknowledge it or not. That's a fact. Mariah got this wrong. Period.

Re: Isn't it ironic (98,401) (98,405) by Stacey from USA
I remember watching Barbara Walters interview Mariah I believe for the Academy Awards. It was after the success of TEOM. Mariah said something to the effect of "if someone thinks they can manipulate me again, they are dead wrong". Looks like Mariah was dead wrong. I think MC gravitates toward those who she thinks will take care of her but end up taking over her life. Tommy. Stella. Next? Hopefully after Stella she's learned her lesson. One can only hope. Isn't it ironic?

Re: Someones Ugly Daughter's voice (98,373) (98,378) by Stacey from USA
Exactly. I've always thought her voice changed in-between Daydream and Butterfly because she was no longer under Tommy's controlling hand. He controlled every aspect of her world, including the most important part, her voice. He made sure MC took care of her voice. Take away that control, free to choose, things can change. Don't misunderstand me. I am in no way defending Tommy's cruel treatment of Mariah. but when you're controlled so far one way, then freedom comes, sometimes you can swing so far the other way which also can be damaging. Regardless of this or that, I will always be grateful for the music.

I thought AIWFCIY hit the top spot 25 years later. Were you asleep during math class? Somewhat wrong.

I love your enthusiasm and positive thinking. I like the song. Enjoy listening to it in the car. A #1 song? Not a chance.

"Flicks the little pesky fly off my shoulder." That pretty much sums up my feelings about your post. Carey on.

Re: Somewhat Loved (98,282) (98,287) by Stacey from USA
Another one bites the dust. I'll admit, Somewhat Loved is no WBT or ABMB, timeless classics. But please don't lump the song in the same group as Crapfinity. Somewhat Loved ain't that bad. Crapfinity lives in its own rotten world.

Back to Somewhat Loved (98,277) by Stacey from USA
I have been listening to this song especially in the car and I gotta say I like it a lot. Sure is it in the same league as ABMB, Fantasy, VOL, Hero? Maybe even Migrate? Just kidding on that last song. Of course not. But it's got catchy lyrics, sweet vocals, and that chorus beat gets me to tapping the steering wheel everytime. Go listen to it again, stop blabbing secrets, and leave poor Nick alone.
