Re: FILAC (98,849) (98,850) by Stacey from USA I felt the same. Two different songs spliced together. But overall it's a lovely song. It's different from your typical Christmas song. I get the opinion of some who say it doesn't feel like a Christmas song. But I think that's exactly why I like it. I can listen to AIWFCIY, classic songs from Bing Crosby and Andy Williams, and then switch to FILAC. It's a beautiful song. The fa-la-la-fall in love bridge is genius. Fall In Love at Christmas (98,837) by Stacey from USA Love the vibe of this song. The arrangement is so amazing. I get a My All/After Tonight vibe. My only question is at the 3:36 mark. Seems like one song ends and another begins. I might just download the song and separate the two. Haha. I listened to a bit of AIWFCIY today. Let the Christmas season begin. My daughter just turned 13. My hubby and I got her a phone, her first one. No social media. She can try Instagram once she hits high school then Facebook once she's an adult and decide for herself. When you think of Christmas love songs, you think of songs that bring folks together. Cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies don't see the end where the couple breaks up. Mariah said something to the effect of "if someone thinks they can manipulate me again, they are dead wrong". Looks like Mariah was dead wrong. I think MC gravitates toward those who she thinks will take care of her but end up taking over her life. Tommy. Stella. Next? Hopefully after Stella she's learned her lesson. One can only hope. I've always thought her voice changed in-between Daydream and Butterfly because she was no longer under Tommy's controlling hand. He controlled every aspect of her world, including the most important part, her voice. He made sure MC took care of her voice. Take away that control, free to choose, things can change. Don't misunderstand me. I am in no way defending Tommy's cruel treatment of Mariah. but when you're controlled so far one way, then freedom comes, sometimes you can swing so far the other way which also can be damaging. Back to Somewhat Loved (98,277) by Stacey from USA I have been listening to this song especially in the car and I gotta say I like it a lot. Sure is it in the same league as ABMB, Fantasy, VOL, Hero? Maybe even Migrate? Just kidding on that last song. Of course not. But it's got catchy lyrics, sweet vocals, and that chorus beat gets me to tapping the steering wheel everytime.
