During the radio interview and 106 & Park interviews Mariah tried to bring JD into the conversation but he was either being shy or just wanted Mariah to have the whole attention. Which is very nice of him too. I like Mariah's friendship with JD. She was saying in the Ralphie interview that JD is very understanding and encourages her to work with and release singles which she wrote with other writers (like TMB). So that's sweet. Webmaster, am I exceeding the limit of posts I can write in one day? Lol because I just wrote multiple but it's Mariah dahlin' and I'm addicted so I keep chiming in. He is actually a pretty good songwriter and like L A Reid said, him and Mariah really work well together. And JD didn't even write or produce YME, so why hate on him? About everyone who is saying that Mariah is trying to make WBT part 2 happen, I disagree. Just because a song's theme is similar, it does not make it a copy. The theme of YME is yearning to be with an ex, which was WBT's theme too, but hello it's the theme of like more than half of Mariah's songs, even pre-TEOM (Butterfly, CLG, DFAU). Writing love ballads is M's specialty and there are only limited storyline you can write a love ballad with - being in love, looking for love, and yearning for your lost love, telling your ex you'll be fine without them. What I mean, it's the people and articles that are comparing YME to WBT (in case of articles it's mostly because WBT is probably the only big love song from M they heard about, not everyone is a lamb). M never compared it to WBT, infact in the interview with Ralphie I believe she somewhat cleared it up a little. She just said that she leaves her song open to different interpretations like for her YME is a sad song but people take it as a happy song and she said it's similar to WBT as well because WBT is a sad song but some take it as a song about being together with your lover. I don't know if I am making sense, my point is, YME and WBT both have same theme, but they are not copies. (Friday 21 February 2014; 17:16)

Isaac / interviews (41,584) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Yes, she did look really uncomfortable and went completely quiet. It's not her team's fault either because Mariah has to do multiple interviews per day and it's the team's job to tell interviewers when their time is up. I am sure if Tabitha would have asked nicely, Mariah would have just answered her. The woman wasted a couple of minutes just shouting at the publicist, instead of utilising the time politely and smartly. About the JD thing though, I think they don't ask JD anything because he is there as her manager and not collaborator, but yes I agree they could ask him just a few questions out of respect as he is a pretty hot shot producer and songwriter with many hits under his name. MC interview (41,576) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Did any of you watch the old interview of Mariah with Tabitha Soren, during the Butterfly era? Everything was fine and all, MC was being a total sweetheart, but at the end, when her people told Tabitha that the interview time is over, Tabitha goes into a major mean diva mode and starts yelling and poor MC is like sitting there helpless and looking horrified. I wonder how she would tackle a moment like that now, when she is more confident and sure of herself. (Friday 21 February 2014; 14:32)

Mariah's hair (41,567) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok so what on earth is cougar hair? I didn't even know cougars have a specific hairstyle. I don't think Mariah stayed the same in any era. Even after TEOM. During TEOM she had the golden blonde stick straight bum length hair (as seen in ILT and parts of SIO) and loose curls to wavy locks WBT, DFAU). During E=MC2, she had much shorter hair, a little longer than shoulder length, with darker blonde-brown hair, which was almost always just simply blow dried and soft straight. During Memoirs she had longer hair, waves and the old school Mariah tight curls. This era she's sporting straight hair again. Mariah actually changed her hair style and cut so many times, one haircut/style every era, that I can just look at a pic and identify which era it is from. As for her dresses, she has gone from flirty short dresses, to jeans and leather jacket moments to glamorous gowns, so that's not the same either. And I love her makeup, it's so natural yet glamorous, that's her signature style just like Jolie has her signature cat eyeliner look from which she hardly deviates. (Friday 21 February 2014; 7:05)

Proud MC fan (41,565) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter A friend of mine, a complete non lamb (I don't think she ever heard an MC song, before I made her hear some), is a fan of the current music scene, the likes of Rihanna, Chris Brown. Lady Gaga and all. I have been playing her some MC songs every now and then and over time she started admiring her voice. She is not a complete lamb yet, but the fact that she told me the other day that she woke up at 5 am and really felt like hearing Mc's voice so she looked for her songs online, on 2 different occasions in one week, or that she really likes Mariah's voice because it's so beautiful, or that she sat and read M's entire biography online because she was interested, really makes me happy and proud. I was like R Kelly sounds good on the TMB music, and she is a R Kelly fan, but she was like, no I prefer M's solo fluttery voice over the remix. Mind you, this is someone who completely doesn't like ballads and yet listens to TAOLG. So my point is, the current generation would love M's music if only they knew more about it. M has such a beautiful voice, so captivating, it would impress anyone who takes the time to listen to her diverse range of songs (the woman did everything from ballads to rap, come on). To top that off she has the glamour and elegance and I am glad she didn't go down the "crazy hair/dress/makeup" trend like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Minaj, Riri and the others. M, I might be critical of you every now and then but I truly love you, and I'm proud to call myself a true MC fan. (Friday 21 February 2014; 6:18)

TAOLG / Triumphant (41,546) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I wish articles would just stop calling the album TAOLG already, I mean come on. The legend herself has confirmed it's no longer the title. On another note, so I know many people, mostly lambs, did not appreciate Triumphant and said it was a bad song or whatever, but honestly I really love the song, it's upbeat, the lyrics of the chorus are uplifting and motivating, and the song has a nice beat. To top that off, the video was great, with M being the perfect glamor girl/diva and all the golden accents throughout the video. Yes, I will agree it wasn't the greatest choice for the lead single (at that point it was the supposed lead single), because people waited since 2009 to hear Mariah's new album and when they heard the rappers taking center stage, and M being the hook girl, it pissed off people, especially since M's signature/brand is her outstanding vocals. But keeping all those aside, I personally think the song isn't half as bad as people make it out to be, infact it's one of my favorite tracks of Mariah, the original and the vintage remix. Had Rihanna or JLo done the same, it would have been considered a great song because people don't really expect powerhouse vocals from them. It's just unfair to Mariah. Go on Fallon, Kimmel, Ellen, heck she should go to neighbor's roof with a loudspeaker and sing it until everyone is hypnotized by the song and shoots it to #1. Also I am excited about the upcoming BET performance. I can't wait to see how she performed in "that dress". (Wednesday 19 February 2014; 14:39)

You're Mine (41,433) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I disagree with anyone who says that it's a low quality song, or whatever. I loved it from the very first time I heard it. There have been many times when I needed to let a song grow on me after listening to it repeatedly, but this one pleased me from the start. I think most lambs also loved it, and I can say for a fact that many non-lambs loved it too. I made some non-lambs listen to it, and from the start they liked it, whereas non-lambs are usually critical of Mariah's style. A lot of people posted similar experiences with non-lambs when they made them hear the song. So no this song was good enough. Why it's not selling as much as it should is a mystery, but I would say this is my favorite single off this era so far. (Tuesday 18 February 2014; 10:17)

Carlos / dem babies (41,420) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It's just wishful thinking dahlin'. Because a lot of big names are collaborating, like Bey and Shakira, RiRi and Shakira, Britney also collaborated with Madonna long time back and even recently I think she collaborated. So yes, although it's never going to happen. There were rumors about a promised Mariah-Janet duet when JD was dating her but that never happened. She can always just do an easy dance song. Ah well let's see what she has in stock. Moving on, I wonder how Mariah has featured dem babies on a track. I hope it's something different than what has already been done. MC and Bey (41,411) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I want Mariah to do a song with Beyonce. That would be huge. I don't think Mariah will be interested in working with any other female singer who came after her due to ego clashes, but she seems to somewhat like Beyonce (whether it's just for Jay-Z's sake or genuinely, I dont know). But I think they can come up with a cool women empowerment themed song or just a catchy club song. In other news, Beyonce seems to be doing everything possible to push her song Drunk In Love (which I personally liked) to #1. Even if it means adding Kanye's ridiculously inappropriate rap in a song which firstly already has her husband Jay Z and secondly Kanye's verse seems so random that he just suddenly starts off the song with explicit details about his intimate moments with Kim (bound 2 part 2 much?). I'm like what's the need to add a third person to a song which is about Bey and Jay? Thank God for Mariah and her sensible songs. Also please don't give up on You're Mine, it has just been 4 days. Obviously Mariah won't let it fade away, it is an official single and she has been very clear about it. She may have some strategies planned out, give it time. (Monday 17 February 2014; 11:36)

Mariah (41,392) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Can we all just take a moment and bask in Mariah's beauty. I was going through the pics of her wearing the white gown and fur for the Empire State Building ceremony and she looked so flawless (nothing new there). Her makeup was gorgeous and I love that she's sporting the pink lips (she's usually more into peachy and nude tones). And her hair was on point. So glamorous. With all the Mileys getting naked on stage and JLos trying to be hood, Mariah is so effortlessly glamorously and yet "hood" at the same time when she wants to be. When I see Mariah performing with other rappers, she never comes across as a wannabe, which is something I don't think I can say for many other white singers (I know she is biracial) male or female. I am happy that I was born in an era where I got to experience the two greatest singers ever - the fabulous Miss Mariah Carey and the ridiculously talented king of pop, Mr Michael Jackson. If only they had a song together (and the all star songs don't count), a love ballad or a sexy duet. But I am still grateful that we'll see a lot more of MC. (Sunday 16 February 2014; 18:50)

Yes Mariah is really going out if her way to promote the song the best she can and I also was wondering why she isn't appearing on Ellen because she seems to love being on it and also it will get major attention on the song. Your idea about her appearing on Wendy is great, I heard Wendy talk about M many times and she had nothing but great things to say about her. She can also make an appearnace on Alan Carr's show for the UK fans. M has been doing her share of promotion, now she should step it up a notch and appear on some major talk shows. Danny / Thirsty (41,375) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Yes Mariah mentioned in one of her radio interviews that she has a new song called Thirsty and she also mentioned the producer, I forgot the name though. I think she talked about it when people the interviewers were talking about Beyonce's Drunk In Love. What's funny is that when I heard her mention the name of the song, I also immediately thought about Migrate. Hopefully it will be an upbeat song like Migrate or maybe sultry like Drunk In Love. Another name that came to mind when she mentioned Thirsty was the song Crave that someone posted here months back and said it was for the Butterfly album but wasn't included as it was considered too sexual. Nikki (41,374) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Please don't go around assuming that you are the only one who cracked the similarities between YME video and the original Little Mermaid and then call people dense and shallow. The fact that Mariah drew the ideas from the story is quite apparent. The whole costume discussion comes up because we all know Mariah isn't exactly known for her dancing skills and if she would have used an alternative way to hide her breasts at least she could move around the rainforest or at the very least move her hands more freely. The fact that the shots were beautiful and MC looking gorgeous isn't lost on anyone. If M as a little mermaid could find a piece of material to wear as a skirt, she could find one to cover her chest. You made your point, explaining something that probably some people didn't know, that's fine, but don't feel too free to call people out on their intelligence. (Sunday 16 February 2014; 8:16)

So when people tried to say that the "rambling Mariah moment" was her usual routine, it's not the truth, this is why I referred back to 2005-2009 era when her interviews were funny, witty and professional. I am glad she took note and fixed herself up for the next round of interviews. I just get frustrated because I don't know about her, but I desperately want her to be back at #1, I hate how talentless people are mass producing what seems to be like the same song with different lyrics (yes I know they are not the same, dahlin') while people like Mariah who actually make real music are given the backseat. Second day interviews (41,355) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mariah seems to have gotten back to form for the interviews after that day, I just got to watch them today and she not only looks gorgeous (and dressed properly), she didn't stray away off topic and gave informative answers. All her interviews need to be like these. Like the BET 106 & Park moment, she was her usual funny self but she talked about the song as much as she could in that time frame. That's the MC we all want. It brought a smile to my face instead of a cringe. (Saturday 15 February 2014; 17:02)

Interviews (41,353) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter For people who claim Mariah is sick of answering the same questions, here are two points. Number 1. A celebrity of Mariah's level has the ability to instruct the interviewer (through her agent) about exactly what questions they can ask her and what they can't. If she can demand that her own camera angle expert will be standing next to the show's camera man to make sure that they don't film her from the wrong angle, you can be more than sure she has control over what questions she will be asked, so she definitely doesn't mind the questions. Number 2. These often asked questions are things that needs to be asked again and again because not everyone knows about her past/present. Suppose a non lamb tunes into a random show and M is there, he/she would need a little introduction, that's how new people become fan and/or get information. So every interviewer kinda has to ask these because suppose she answered something in Radio A, it's not necessary that everyone on the planet listened to it, so she has to say it in Radio B as well to get her message across to people. I watch Ellen, I don't watch Oprah, so if Oprah asked something which M answered I would not know it, as I don't watch the show. Simple as that. It's M's work, her job, she makes a living from it. Directors (41,339) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Why isn't Mariah working with Brett Ratner, Paul Hunter or even Jake Nava, the directors responsible for her best videos to date (ITL, WBT, DFAU, Honey, Shake It Off, TMB, Get Your Number, Heartbreaker). These videos were super sexy yet classy and with great storylines. So where are they? I want Mariah to blow everyone's mind with her new album and videos. Someone needs to get me her number. I want to manage her, no offense to JD though, he is doing his best getting her a lot of face time. (Saturday 15 February 2014; 3:54)

The diva attitutude overload (41,338) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Some people are writing that M's recent behavior is playful and/or it's her breaking free of Sony forcing her to appear "more white", that's ridiculous. Mariah has always been classy (even after Sony), Sony just made wear more clothes. But look at her interviews from TEOM, E=MC2, even Memoirs era, these were well past Sony and she was funny, witty, professional and classy all at the same time. Like suppose her interviews with Ellen (where she seems most relaxed) during these eras, she had her diva attitude but it was toned down and it was actually funny and she kept things classy, joking but at the same time being professional. In the Alan Carr show, she was super poised, even though he kept joking (which is hist style so fine). She even directed him away from some inappropriate jokes nicely. MC never needed an Oprah interview to appear sincere. Neither did she need to sound robotic and not be playful during interviews (after Sony). She had a perfect balance of professionalism and humor (being funny but giving straight and informative answers about her work) well up to Memoirs, so please don't justify her recent behavior saying she has always been like this, go check out her interviews from the eras I mentioned. Someone also wrote MC knows work is a joke, that's crazy, if she thought that, she wouldn't be trying so hard to start off her album with a #1 hit and delaying the album each time a single didn't perform up to her standards. Remix video (41,337) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter No, no, no. This remix video isn't working for me. One video of Mariah cradling her chest is more than enough, now we have two of the exact same videos with just a few more cut scenes of her underwater, and Trey singing, it doesn't change anything at all. What happened to the video that was playing behind her when she was performing at the BET awards? It looked classy and nice where she was dancing or had her hands around a man's neck and she was wearing white gloves and then there were shots of her on a black piano wearing all black. It was the same ensemble she had on in the pictures with Trey and JD. I will also just add again, why didn't Mariah just cover her chest with a shell bikini or glitter bikini or just wear a nude body suit with strategically placed glitters/stones to cover her modesty?
