The new single (41,160) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So my mom hates MC because I look upto her more than I do to my mom lol, so she's always like saying "this song isn't good, why does she need to scream everytime" and all those, but even she liked the song (yes I did force her to listen and she was unconsciously swaying her head), and at the end she was like this is much better than the last few songs she released. I am in love with the song, the hook like everyone is describing it as, is hypnotic and the best part for me, followed by the uplifting chorus. I am really hoping that this song tops charts, but with all the crappy songs that only go to #1 nowadays, I hope this gem by MC atleast cracks top 10 (no top 5 pretty please?) and if it hits #1, I will be overjoyed. I want people to know what real music is, and MC is the real deal. Ok lastly, I am not feeling the remix much, I thought it would be re-sung like WBT but hey who cares, the main song is A+mazing and from the reviews of fans I see most of them are giving both versions mainly positive reviews so yes I am super happy. Nail the promotions MC and take your much deserved 19th #1. I love you. (Wednesday 12 February 2014; 16:21)

You're Mine (41,147) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok, so I couldn't wait any longer. I heard the original and remix version. I loved the original version. Smooth, sweet, powerful and pow. Mystery collaborator (41,126) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So the mystery collaborator, "whom MC worked with before but the song wasn't released", on the new album must be Trey Songz, since the Inseparable remix was never officially released. Among her other well known collaborators, I wish MC works with Jay Z again, I loved them together in Heartbreaker, You Got Me, Shake It Off Remix, Bye Bye remix and Things That You Do. I would also love another Mariah-Diddy moment. They might not be on the new album, but hopefully in future albums she'll work with them again. (Tuesday 11 February 2014; 18:49)

Remix video (41,124) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I think the remix video is the one where Mariah is on the piano (as Trey is featured on it and the shots of her music video on the piano shows her wearing the same black dress she wore in the pics with him), while the main one is the one shot in Puerto Rico. So it's possible she sang the remix version at BET honors. Yes, I am blabbering on about it, but it's only because I am so excited about tomorrow. So bear with me. (Tuesday 11 February 2014; 16:57)

New single (41,116) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter You're Mine regular version and remix featuring Trey releasing on the 12th. Video premiere of regular version on the 12th, remix version on the 14th. I think I will die out of excitement tonight. Serious shiver moment going on even in the hot weather here. New single video / Bill (41,093) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So there is a Facebook fan page that has some of the pics of Mariah's BET performance but these pics cover a bigger size and you can see there is a huge screen behind Mariah, and the music video is playing on it. So I was partially right that she will be featured on a piano in the video. There was also a cutscene of her in a white dress and gloves, dancing with a man. So I m guessing that's the video. I like the concept! Bill, it is unlikely she will use those pictures because they are from really old photoshoots. (Monday 10 February 2014; 20:59)

Lyrics (41,088) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok so there is a new video with the lyrics and I think maybe I misheard her lyrics as she says "I can't seem to give you up, you're mine" instead of "I can't seem to get you off my mind". Mariah (41,085) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So her new Facebook profile pic still calls her single You're Mine with the addition of a sub heading of the word Eternal. So now I am confused. Is the song Can't Get You Off My Mind or You're Mine because the lyrics of the leaked audio suggest the name is the former while she keeps referring to it as the latter. Or am I in luck and she is indeed releasing two different singles? The release date of the single has been shifted to 12th instead of 14th. Also we now have an album date. Yay! Ryan (41,073) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I was thinking the same. Mariah did a stellar job and the song was perfect but there is a chance that Mariah knew in advance that the song is going to leak and hence she sang an alternate version. But I am glad to see that all the reviews here as well as on YouTube are positive and I am happy with the song. This is exactly what she needed for a comeback. This song should do a great job on the charts. As for the video, I have been thinking maybe it also has those moments of Mariah on a piano (the same as the performance judging from the similar outfit she wore in the pics with Trey) and there might be like some cut scenes, flashbacks probably, of her with her loverboy in Puerto Rico. Just a guess. At this point it can be anything, she might have shot alternate videos for remixes. I think Mariah really took charge this time around. So excited for Wednesday and Friday. The pictures she had with Trey and JD features her in a similar (albeit less risky) black gown and opera gloves. The background is an indoor set. Maybe the video will feature Mariah on a piano. Will / Licia (41,027) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Will, lol yes I heard the mail gets it incorrect most of the time (although I am guilty of reading its entertainment section almost regularly lol). I read the article and I was like really? Out of all the iconic hits Mariah gave, why did they write another artist's song? Licia, I know, right? In the pics it seems like she was lying down, then sat up, then sat in a kneeling position, and the dress is not for once out of place, and there didn't seem to be any helpers there, I can't wait to see how she pulled it off. About the Whitney song, I actually have no idea about Whitney's catalogue so yes. (Sunday 9 February 2014; 14:38)

What I am wondering is how she managed to not have a major wardrobe malfunction and how on earth did she move around in that dress, changing positions and all. I guess only a true diva can do it. So in one of the articles it's written that the "I will always love you singer..." However isn't it a Whitney song? Was it a typo or is she really releasing the Whitney Cover this friday? Double album (40,979) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I like that idea. I have been thinking for a while too that she has enough material to release a double disc album (even a triple disc lol) because she has been working on this album like forever. I like Mikey's idea that she could have one disc consisting of only songs with her vocals, and the second with multiple duets. And she can release two simultaneous singles from each disc. I don't want her to drop some good songs just because she could not fit it into the tracklist limit. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 20:32)

B (40,978) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter You should listen to the remix like right about now! Inseparable itself was a super cute song, and when they added Trey's part it didn't change it. I liked H.A.T.E.U. remix but I think somewhere along the song it felt like Mariah was the featured artist (but I still loved it as I love when Mariah uses re-sung vocals for remixes). Inseperable kept Mariah's original parts, and just added Trey's vocals. But it was still cute and if the lead single is like that I wouldn't mind. And they would look great in the music video too. Matt / Trey Songz (40,968) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mariah and Trey had amazing vocal chemistry in the Inseperable remix, and I personally would not have a problem if the lead single is with Trey, however I would not want it to be a cover of an old song. This is one of the most anticipated songs of the year, and it can almost be counted as Mariah's official lead single for the new album (since #Beautiful was like almost a year back). So it would be better if the song is a Mariah original. About a week left. I won't lie, I am a bit worried since Mariah is not even talking about the song. The only two times she mentioned it was the NYE concert and then a small line at the end of her charity post. After that she gave multiple posts about the charity but none about the song. How would you all feel if she releases 2 songs on Valentine's day? A dance/party themed one and another ballad. Complete with 2 videos. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 11:16)

The video Mariah posted on Facebook, where she's swimming and yells 7 more days, is she wearing a mermaid costume? I couldn't see clearly, it did look like a pink/purple mermaid tail. Mariah taught us well to keep things classy. What is funny though is people are "disliking" our apology posts using the thumbs down button lol. I mean come on! I also agree with your post about Obsessed. It was as great song and a major diss on a rapper who has been dissing other people for years and I don't think any other female artist stood upto him. Obsessed / new album (40,903) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I love obsessed! It's a fun song, very catchy and summer-y. Even my non-Mariah friends really like the song. I don't really mind the auto tune. It's one of those songs which prove that Mariah is capable of catering to different audiences and different types of music. Also I agree with clueey, I loved Memoirs (every single song) along with some of the amazing remixes we heard from that album. About the new album, it seems like the indirect promotions have already started with collaborators dropping Mariah's name in recent interviews. As someone pointed out on this board, it must not be a coincidence that all of a sudden people are talking about working with Mariah right now. I'm so excited for the new single! Lamb O Chop (40,896) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Sugar pie, I personally do not think your posts are bleak or ignorant, darling. I have nothing but love and respect for you honey bear. When I specifically asked if B was referring to you, it was only because you were the only one (up until that time) to reply to B's last message where she wrote that Mariah heard the bad reviews of Charmbracelet and came up with We Belong Together/TEOM. Your reply was something like Charmbracelet's reviews were bogus and that people blame Mariah no matter if she sings in her lower or higher register. I can't understand from the title whether it's a slow ballad or a dance/club/party song. Either ways I just desperately want a new song (possibly some re-sung remixes, yes I am being greedy), a new music video (preferably a well thought out video with a good concept) and finally the main album.
