About Robert-Anthony from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

The JHud Show (104,174) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Andrew, put down the bubbly and take a nap. Just a little too much Monty Python humor for me this morning. I am over here on this side of the pond dealing with a blown head gasket on my 2004 Lexus.

Never sung in her life (104,159) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC is a survivor. I was thinking today that the music business is a cruel industry whereas only a few artists have careers after their sophomore album. MC surpassed all of that and made it to 32 years in the music business. I am going to show more understanding and compassion with my comments from this day forward.

Christmas songs (early bird special) (104,151) by Robert-Anthony from United States
It's going to be interesting this year. I said last week that there is a lot of competition this year. Just wait when the holiday parties start on December 9th.

Performance (104,141) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Roc and Roe are their mother's biggest Lambs. They love their mother. Their moment with MC brought tears to my eyes. Did you see Roc take a moment at the beginning of her speech to give his mother her props? Imagine Roc in 10 years speaking for his mother at another awards show.

It was live 100 percent dahling. She has her voice back.

Billboard Awards (104,126) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Kudos to MC tonight at the Billboard Awards. In addition to performing AIWFCIY for the first time on the Billboard Awards show, she will be awarded the Chart Achievement Award for it. MC keeps crushes these achievement awards. Previously she was awarded the Icon Award in 2019 and the Artist of the Decade Award in 1999.

I remember now. It came to me this morning watching GMA's segment about MC. You are the one that told me I posted too much back in 2018 when Caution came out. You are a surveillance member (Andrew JR.) just here to criticize posts.

Article: Mariah Carey roasted for looking "stiff and awkward" (104,116) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I didn't join the board until 1999 if I am not mistaken. Were we all just positive on here in 1999? I think it is hard for us to watch these videos knowing that she is capable of doing so much better. If we didn't care we wouldn't be on here. Maybe we didn't expect to see all that's happening to manifest in her 50s. I know that she is human, but I want her to shine a little be more at her age. Let's see how Debbie Allen makes her shine Sunday on the Billboard Awards.

Dolly Parton releases a rock album (104,110) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I wish MC would do something similar like this with a 70's R&B and Jazz influenced cover album. It would fit her current voice perfectly - smooth and jazzy.

Bryan Tanaka (104,103) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Yes, it's sad to watch her perform. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think AIWFCIY is going to hit number one this year. This whole Christmas season already seems off for MC. I think that she has overextended herself with too many dates. Plus, she got some tough competition this year from a crop new Christmas songs in top 5 on iTunes. Brenda Lee is bubbling right at number 6 behind MC. We will find out on Black Friday whether MC will make it to number one on iTunes next weekend.

Bryan Tanaka (104,101) by Robert-Anthony from United States
There is one thing you can say about MC is that she doesn't tolerate any type of wrong doing by anyone in her life or who works for her. She will give you the boot quicker than you can say I am sorry. Big Jim Wright was replaced by Daniel Moore without explanation. Hopefully, after the Christmas concerts she will work hard in the studio like she did during the Memoirs and MIAM eras. I would love for MC release a hot album in 2024 even with the state of her voice right now.

We need to be kind to Mariah, ok? (104,091) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC hasn't been the same since she lost Nick. Rewind back to 2009 when MC appeared on America's Got Talent to perform Obsessed. That appearance showed a sparkle in her eyes that we haven't seen in a long time. She was a woman in love performing on her man's show. Nick will always be the man she thought would be with her forever.

She seemed very cautious about singing and moving on stage. Why was she so stiff while singing?

What happened to Brandy's voice? (104,066) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I thought the same thing too, Terna. Maybe age has caught up with her. I feel touring really helped to maintain her voice when she was younger.

Hello Bradley. Welcome to the board. Nice first post and very poignant. You are like an early sunrise similar to how Billy Dee Williams surprised Dominque Devereaux on Dynasty during his debut episode.

Twitter Spaces (104,059) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Why hasn't MC done Twitter Spaces in awhile? I think that it has been about 9 months since the last one. I thought about Twitter Spaces because she told us that she was doing this and she was working with this person and this young male singer the last two times. I hope something happens in 2024.

Not sure what to do (104,048) by Robert-Anthony from United States
These concerts are probably going to make us know that MC has her voice back or she will never get it back. It's hard to believe that her performance of The Distance on late night TV in 2019 was the last time she truly performed live without a pre-recorded track.

Mariah confirms she's done 10 songs for new album (104,038) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Great point Bill. If Alicia, Janet, Betty Wright and Tina can do it, then surely MC can do it. I feel MC likes to have a label's financial support behind her because of the feeling of having her financial security taken from underneath like her mother had happened after the separation from Alfred Roy. Just my thoughts.

Mariah confirms she's done 10 songs for new album (104,035) by Robert-Anthony from United States
It seems like MC is getting ready to pitch a body work to get a new record deal. I think this is the way older artists are doing it these days.

Saint Harison (104,024) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Okay, I understand. Love Takes Time is MC at her best. If we could just get back to that type of ballad, just maybe the Grammys will recognize MC with several nominations and awards in the near future. I really feel that she has gotten the memo. Plus, she is older now and she can't have rappers featured on her songs as much.

Saint Harison (104,021) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I know, but I am hoping it is a male this time. While we are on Taylor Swift, tell me why does every record store that I go into has their wall aligned with all of her vinyl records or a display stand in aisle. MC never got this treatment in the early 1990s. I remember hunting through the CD bin trying to find the CD maxi single of Can't Take That Away.
