Chin wave (103,932) by Lee from UK Can anyone tell me if there is any hidden meaning behind Mariah's "chin wave". I don't think it's a new thing but I have seen about 5 random videos recently in which Mariah puts the back of her hand underneath her chin and waves her fingers. I feel like I've seen it lots but have only just thought about how strange it seems. It's almost like it is a code for those in the know and I'm clearly not in the know. I also watched the new performance and yes although it was low energy and she was out of breath at times, she still has a stage presence. We lambs do notice a lot haha but she's getting a lot of love from the general public. They don't care if she's lipping or out of breath. She looked stunning and so young straight out of 2005. But I do think she should lose the corset, it restricts her breathing and I would love to see her move around a bit more. But at the end of the day I am just happy she's still among us, still performing, relevant without publicity stunts and still a legend. I know everyone has their own opinion and that's fine but I think the whole poll/debate about whether she should go through with the nodule surgery or not is absolutely horrible. We don't know what her reasons are and every surgery has a chance of risk. Plus just basic decency we shouldn't be giving out medical opinions. It could be a real and authentic 5 episode series that focuses on MC's recording process with various producers, collaborators, and her reconnection with L.A. She's not only a remarkable vocalist, she's a songwriter, she had an elusive persona, a sexy girl next door persona, and an outsider looking in persona. There's more to Mariah Carey than her voice, she was the whole package and that's why Tommy's investment paid off. Mariah saw a low phase after Tommy only because he was actively sabotaging her. She came back like a Phoenix with TEOM. How many artists can claim to still be as relevant as her after 3 decades. Haters (like Miss Chaka) can attribute her success to men and labels but Mariah is Mariah because she was born to be a star. Like in Loverboy Mariah should live the motto of "hate on me as much as you want to, you can't do what the [...] I do, bishes be emulating me dailyyyy". How many other female artists have had so enormous push and financial investment from their label like MC had? None that I can think of. From 1990-1999, there were no other female artists bigger than MC and other female singers disliked MC during that time for it. Once the Tommy Mottolla effect wavered, MC's popularity decreased and the haters started speaking. To be honest, Tommy, MC and Sony did make a mighty team during her popularity and chart reign. Taylor Swift would have never had the same chart success like MC did in 90s. And Chaka is just mad because of what she could never achieve as a solo artist like MC did. (Friday 3 March 2023; 23:54)

I love Chaka Khan but she downtalked Adele, Mary J. Blige as well because they ranked ahead of her. Chaka Khan was #29. I would think that someone who has been in the business for so long would know better to take journalists' bait to create sound bites. Clips from interviews in which you talk bad about people who outsell you make you sound bitter. And when your wigs look like you skinned Snuffleupagus and you have had a drug/alcohol problem for over 50 years, you really shouldn't throw stones anywhere near your glass house. Kim's shapewear brand Skims always does a lot of collaborations like she had all the OG supermodels for her "Icons" collection, then she had Megan Fox, recently she had the 2 girls from the comedic hit "White Lotus" for valentine's collection so I wonder if she'll have a "Diva's" range or if this a project of Marian's. Like why would Mariah be at Kim's house. I would love to be a fly on the wall for that chat haha. Mariah had previously subtly shaded Kardashians but recently warmed up to them starting with the AIWFCIY celebrity edition, then following Kris Jenner and posting photos with Kris. The Kardashians have always from the start been Mariah stand. I have seen countless times them playing Marian's songs on all the sister's stories including Kendall and Kylie. Kendall even recently used "Fantasy" in one of her perfume ads along with paying homage to the "Honey" pool dive scene. So I would love to know what lead to this TikTok collab. I know she has said details in previous interviews and her book but it'd be nice to have it all in 1 documentary. Or another thing she could have done is have a breakdown of all her videos from the album as almost all the videos from this album was really conceptual with a lot of thought into it (aka not just Mariah touching herself) so I would have loved her do a whole documentary on that. Another taste of honey (101,266) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Just got back from watching the BTS. Firstly Mariah looks stunning but girl what on earth? It was 5 mins long only after all that hype? Honey is easily one of her best videos (Breakdown is #1 though) and it's iconic. There's so much that goes on in the video and the remix video too I was thinking we'd get a scene by scene breakdown and some details behind the looks, the scenes, what does "D.U.N.C.E." stand for. It was only 5 mins long and that includes cutaways to the music video and also a story about how one of the crew got into an accident? Like I understand it's serious and would have made sense in a longer documentary to share but in 5 mins a whole minute was dedicated to that. Anyways. Ok so on another tangent - we all know/suspect that "Honey" is innuendo for bodily fluids but I saw this theory yesterday that the scene where Mariah was dancing with the sailors (or "sea men") was an innuendo of semen around an egg I was dead lol. Also the light fixture behind them was a giant egg shaped one. I wanted tea on that. I don't know if this was talked about when "Honey" originally came out because I was a baby but I legit can't look at the video the same lol. If that was truly the intention then Mariah is a genius. Mariah x Chopard (101,215) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I'm more shook over the Chopard collaboration than the lackluster Butterfly anniversary plan. This collaboration is right on par with Mariah's brand. She also looks so beautiful in the promos with the laid back styling. I can't afford any of it but I sure love seeing Mariah collaborating with big name brands like Chopard and D&G. (Thursday 15 September 2022; 23:57)

They revealed the tracks and they're all live versions from the 90s, 2 DJ remixes and the Brandi collaboration plus the Whenever You Call collab. Since "Butterfly" was such a huge milestone/change for Mariah both personally (leaving Tommy and starting on her), in terms of her songwriting and collaborations , in terms of her image (more revealing, daring, unmatched confidence), in terms of her videos (sexier and more like the way she wanted) and so much more it's clear that "Butterfly" is a huge part of Mariah so for the anniversary I would have hope at least that she did more re-imaginations with popular collaborations since there are no more vault songs. I would have loved a "Honey" with Ariana for example, a Babydoll with say Drake or whatever. (Thursday 15 September 2022; 17:57)

She just left the stage and let Mariah takeover. It was really respectful of her. Also it's so sweet to see Mariah come out to support another up and coming female artist because she really didn't need to come out, because it's been a while since she made a public appearance and when she decided to make one it was to support another artist instead of her own thing. I'm super glad she did it because as a lamb any moment Mariah gets her legend status recognition is a whole event. (Tuesday 28 June 2022; 02:09)

Angels Advocate was the other Memoirs remix album with the urban mixes and collabs, which as of now there is no word on it being released. Quite honestly I would prefer AA over the JS remixes. For years, every time there's lack of promo (not that Mariah is responsible for BER promo) from Mariah or a missed opportunity, lambs always say she makes music because she loves making music or that she doesn't want her hit to come from a feature. That is untrue and this isn't even a guess Mariah herself asked fans to make BER her next #1. Latto also pumped it up saying it's be her first and Mariah's 20th #1 and I am sure it's coming from her conversation with Mariah. Let's also not forget Mariah brought Ariana on to OS because Ariana is a monster hit on streaming and has a huge fan base and both fan bases would eat it up. So Mariah definitely cares for a hit, she said so explicitly. And there is nothing wrong with it. I can appreciate her being hungry for success even when she has legend status.
