Ms. Giselle (41,230) by Blake from USA
Thank you for saying that. I could barely watch MTV last night for the 10 minutes. She was all concerned about the lighting. How can she expect to sell a single with her behavior? I don't get it. I love the new single and the remix even more but like others on here I am over the boobs flaunted everywhere. Hopefully the song delivers the sales and not her stunts. Best of luck. BTW the regular version peaked at #11 on USA iTunes, not #10. It is now falling (#15) along with the remix.

The View and Bobbi Kristina (41,179) by Blake from USA
Ok, so even though it shows MC in the program for cable networks, Mariah was not on The View today. I taped it and watched it back. Mariah wasn't even mentioned so I knew. I agree, Bobbi Kristina has no talent. Have you seen her sing on YouTube? Besides if she did, Whitney would had her singing by now and I'm not talking about just at the beginning of Whitney songs, my love is your love kid singing. She could never carry on her mother's legacy and I feel horrible for her losing her mother and icon that Whitney was, but she ain't cut out for this biz. Prayers to her. I bet the Mariah involved with her music career statement isn't true. I think I love the remix more. I hope it charts this time. Radio better be playing it.

iTunes (41,161) by Blake from USA
You literally have to search for Mariah and the song title to find both versions! It's not even listed under her catalog. I don't get why IDJ can't buy a banner (at top of homepage) like Sony did for Beyonce. C'mon people, make this known to the music lovers.

For the record, you oughta know you wasn't thinking when you let me go. I love that that you updated the site! Thank you Lynn.

Mariah Daily (41,103) by Blake from USA
I am so sad to see it go. I love looking at all the chart peaks and info that is not on this site. I know Wikipedia has a lot of this but still it's better organized on MD. So sad. I've been on there daily since 2002.

Dream concert, new album title, etc. (40,805) by Blake from USA
I just wanted to mention that I can totally hear Trey Lorenz' "Always in love" in the melody of "Everything Fades away", anyone else think that? Regarding the new album title talk, I think it would be great if Mariah did a sub-self title "Mariah" and name it in honor of the lambily. I think it would be great do an album appreciating the fans thing like Fanmail by TLC, etc. My dream concert would be an exclusive lamb show, almost no singles for me. Assuming Mariah's voice is in good shape for the show and the set list would be:
Prisoner
If It's Over
All I Ever Wanted
Melt Away
Breakdown
Petals
Lead The Way or If We
I Only Wanted
Circles
Cruise Control or Migrate
Side Effects
Standing O
Almost Home
OK hopefully nobody goes off on my from my post. I been scared to post lately. Not much fighting/bickering on this board now.

Dedication new single? (40,793) by Blake from USA
There is a new song title revealed. I wonder if it's the new single. I am ready. Ok, what songs do we know could potential be on the new album? "Dedication", "Bring it on home", "Hope street", "#Beautiful", "The art of letting go", "Almost home" (I wish), "Triumphant" (I wish for the vintage throwback non dance version).

Whitney cover (40,662) by Blake from USA
I think if Mariah did a tribute to Whitney for a tribute album in Whitney's honor/legacy it's fine, but to cover Whitney isn't smart at this point, especially for a new album. Mariah's voice is not up to par with Whitney's from 1982. I think it's a bad idea because Whitney fans and the media will rip her a new one. Just my opinion but I agree with the other person that said this is a bad idea. If you can't make it your own classic, don't attempt it.

MOAIA (40,528) by Blake from USA
I just have to defend this album because I think the failure was based on single choices. Obsessed was so auto tuned and not a fav despite it becoming a hit. (#7) But the follow up should have been Angels Cry or Standing O. With proper promotion, it would have done much better. Up Out My Face and HATEU were bad choices in my opinion. With saying that, had HATEU a great video it could have done better. I am so tired of Mariah's video theme: 99% naked always laying down in her videos. Bring back the story lines. A great video can make a song, but she isn't about great videos anymore. So sad.

Ryan (40,518) by Blake from USA
I wasn't trying to be "unfair" or rude about Charmbracelet. I am very glad Mariah made that album, it's just not one I listen to often. IKWYW was never on any US release of Charmbracelet ("The Remixes" featured it) so as far as worldwide hits yes Charmbracelet delivered, but I was referring to the USA. TTR peaked at #81 on the main chart. The other singles never charted at all. I was disappointed with that fate but you are right in saying it was released at a significant time when people were not feeling Mariah. I remember radio talking about TTR when it was released and they were saying her career was done. Boy were they wrong! I just wanted to clarify. It seems everyone on this board is so sensitive when someone posts anything.

CharmB (40,509) by Blake from USA
Lamb O Chop, let's not bicker, lol. Thank you Stacey for your post because I too just don't connect with the Charmbracelet album and yes Daydream is a gem. I do play TTR occasionally, but Mariah's performance on Oprah singing My Saving Grace was [...]. I wish it would have been a single. My album favs in order:
Emotions
Daydream
Butterfly
Debut
E=MC2
TEOM
Glitter
Memoirs
Rainbow
Charmbracelet

Seriously? (40,504) by Blake from USA
I completely disagree. There are only a couple songs on Charmbracelet I like: My Saving Grace, Subtle Invitation and I only Wanted. Boy I Need You is horrible and The One, Clown and Yours are too whispery voiced. If Jive would have released the duet of Yours with J.T. I would have like it a lot more, but MOAIA is a much stronger album that Charmbracelet. Songwriting is much stronger and I feel like the through the rain era was very woe is me and feel sorry about me because of my breakdown. There wasn't a single hit song off Charmbracelet. I guess it goes to show how the lambily has different favorites across the board. But it also shows how Charmbracelet sold over a million copies in the US and Memoirs has a hit song and only sold 500,000 copies. Popularity has gone down hill for MC unfortunately.

More importantly (40,446) by Blake from USA
Instead of leaving tracks off of amazing albums, I can't help but wonder what "Butterfly" would have been had it been completed as in the eyes of Walter A. Rainbow was the first album I disliked a track: "Did I do that?"
Charmbracelet: "Boy I need you". Glitter: "Loverboy".

Loverboy vs Triumphant (40,440) by Blake from USA
I do not like either of these singles. I think Loverboy was cheesy and using Cameo on the track did not help. The video was terrible too. The track is just not good to me. Triumphant could have been a hit had it had a pop release with a radio mix that resembled the vintage throwback, even though she needed to write another verse for it. I hope the original version doesn't make the cut for the new album. The message is awesome especially because it's written for Nick and his health issues sometime back but it could be her worst single ever in my book. Loverboy is a close second for worst singles. What do you think of these two singles?

Really (40,383) by Blake from USA
Lashonda, you said a mouth full, but it was a little harsh with ending on pow. Really! Yes, we all know what you are saying with her age and being a mom. You didn't provide anything new darling. George nailed it on the head though. Another single really? Just release the album. Unless she worked with Teddy Redder, it's not likely to be a hit and Mariah's team is clueless. Jus saying. If this album gets pushed back once again, I am done with the thought of it coming out. If only Mariah could reinvent and accomplish what Beyonce did but in a new way. Then we use pow.

Interviews (40,344) by Blake from USA
I have to agree. Mariah is so hard to watch with all her "Ahhhh dahlin that's my bad side", or whatever. A lot of time she makes no sense with her off subject rants and avoids answering the questions. The fans calling into the show rarely had their question answered. I usually have to turn it off with all the head turning, head down movements. She doesn't come off sincere for her success and you see that in her interviews. "We love Nick but he was working a lot during my pregnancy" - this came off so selfish considering how much she has beat a dead horse with her pregnancy. I feel like if you renew your wedding vows every year you shouldn't throw your hubby in the bus but she does a lot of the time. I love Mariah and will always support her career but I wish she could clean up her image; bubbly, interviews, award shows, radio and TV. She comes off unstable and selfish or stuck up. She lives in her own bubble unfortunately.

Strategic plan (40,316) by Blake from USA
Now that 2014 is 4 days away, I am wondering what is the plan with Mariah? I feel like she has no team. Jermaine organized the Facebook single which was pointless. If this is the new era for lambs, let's hope the next single is smash out of the box. She needs this to make a solid release worth of IDJ. Otherwise it could be shelved permanently. Mariah has said "it's my fault that we pushed the album back", but I don't get it and it could be label related but she is not at will to say. Summer of 2012 was supposed to be historic, Triumphant-historic was right but not in a good way. Then 7/23/13 album release date with #Beautiful becoming a hit single. Then it's pushed back before her injury because "she wants to make the best album possible for her lambs", then the injury happens and her wacky behavior gets worse by the day. I just can't justify all this. All I can do is listen to her catalog and pray she is not done in the business. Many think her career is done.

Last album? (40,285) by Blake from USA
I did pick up on it. "The Art of Letting Go" is a goodbye album?

B from the USA nailed it (40,265) by Blake from USA
I totally agree with B about the new album. I miss the classy poetic lyrics and melodic structures. I am hoping this new album is a return to form and a return to voice. A new single with an uptempo melody is essential and needs to be light hearted but showcasing the voice. She has hinted Valentine's Day for new release, when will we ever get the new details? Ugh so tired of waiting. Buble's Christmas Special was a return to class and solid performance for Mariah.

Visual album (40,236) by Blake from USA
Beyonce will definitely have the number one next week for sure, but if you are going to put that much time, money and effort into such an "artistic work", then at least make the songs solid. From what I can hear from all the snippets and videos, there are maybe 3 solid songs off this new record. Songs that have the lyrics "bow down bitch" and "working 9-5 to stay alive 100 times" is very annoying. I guess the bottom line is the songs don't match up well with the hype. I see why Sony couldn't decide on a single, even though "Pretty hurts" sounds the most promising. I think B is trying to be Madonna and Lady Gaga in one not feeling it. If the label isn't doing any promotion, then why does Beyonce have every slot of all iTunes banners at top of home page. That is huge in cost for one slot alone.

Beyonce visionary genius (40,207) by Blake from USA
Wow. Her marketing team is flawless and she is so classy (not a lot about herself in interviews). I wish Mariah could pull this shit off. Beyonce is setting such an example. I wish Mariah could take notice. Will Mariah ever be this creative again? I doubt it.

Legal wars and MCIIY (40,076) by Blake from USA
Ok does anyone know, I mean truly know, what is going on with Mariah and IDJ? I am wondering if this is kinda what happened with Sony in 2001, when her contract was up. She fulfilled it with a greatest hits instead of a studio album. I have heard someone on this board say that TAOLG fullfils her contract but they too could release a hits collection if Perez Hilton is right about the Kayne West rumor. This all makes sense with delaying (besides her injury) and how Mariah is singing "Looking In" as a statement. Summer 2012 was supposed to be her year and again 2013, and now 2014 is coming. There is much more going on here than we all know. I also find it odd that she is not performing any Christmas music from her second Christmas album which I know only went gold in the USA and everybody loves the first one more, but still is odd to me. Seems how IDJ makes money off that and not the first release. I just wanted to add that I love MCIIY the same as the first but I am not fond of "Here comes Santa Claus" - I think it's too ghetto sounding for her.
