Mimi L. (110,983) by Giovanni from USA I remember back in the The Breakfast Club interview in 2014 Mariah had someone fixing her hair, I thought it was funny. It must be fun being a diva. I know if I was a male Mariah or another Bruno Mars I would have my stylist fixing my hair, fanning me off and bringing me lots of sweet tea and lemonade during interviews haha (just kidding). Mariah was long overdo for the Vanguard award but y'all think the VMAS finally decided to honor her or did Gamma/L.A. Reid make it happen. Reason I ask is because if L.A. I definitely think both "Slipping away" and "One night" could have made the album. "Daydream" is a great album and Mariah deserved at least one Grammy. Daydream (110,971) by Lambi from USA I can see that. Honestly, I'm not a fan of Open Arms, the original, either. Or anyone else who did it. Mariah simply did it the best. In a way, she kind of ruined other artists for me. She gives so much on each song that I simply will not accept that little from anyone. And yes, One Night and Slipping Away are some of her best works, definitely deserving to be on the album. Anyone who says it doesn't fit the "theme" is full of it because Daydream doesn't have a real cohesive theme to begin with. The songs are all over the place in terms of instrumentation, emotional tone and lyrical content. They're all so random: • Fantasy: Romantic escapism • UTS: Nostalgic young love • OSD: Loss and mourning • Open Arms: Longing for reconciliation • ABMB: Lasting emotional connection • I Am Free: Spiritual liberation • When I Saw You: Love at first sight • Long Ago: Painful memories • Melt Away: Sensual romance • Forever: Enduring separation One Night could easily jive with Underneath The Stars because Mariah would be consistent. You should aspire for a UTS kind of love and not give away your goods. They're cut from the same cloth, just different shades. Slipping Away, a pre-break up emotional detachment song, could easily jive with ABMB, the post-break up song. They're part one and part two of the same story. They simply weren't included because they sounded too Urban R&B and Tommy didn't want her that direction. But nobody could stop Mariah anyway and she kind of already hit an R&B stride with ABMB. The sound was already shifting. Leaving them off wasn't about cohesion but limiting Mariah. They should've just included them because they would've made the album even stronger. Vanguard award (110,965) by Giovanni from USA I heard Ariana Grande will be attending the VMAs and was thinking she should be the one to present Mariah with the award. I heard it was going to be LL but it was just a rumor. It definitely should be Ariana and it would be appropriate. I'm so glad Mariah acknowledged her and worked with her. You don't shade someone who looks up to you and calls you the greatest vocalist. Not to mention someone who covered one of your songs. I like Ariana and some of her songs. I've been playing "The Way" non stop and it's probably my favorite from her. (Friday 5 September 2025; 23:58)

Daydream (110,964) by Giovanni from USA Haha I'm glad you found my post "interesting". I didn't mean to knock Mariah's cover of "Open arms" because she definitely did a great job. I just don't like the song. However I actually do like "One night" even though so many think it's horrible. Mariah really gives some great singing on the song and I love the intro. I can hear Christina Aguilera singing this song for first album but I don't know if I would scrap any songs on "Daydream" for it. "Slipping away" is much better and has a great beat. Daydream (110,957) by Lambi from USA Interesting take. I would let Open Arms stay. It's simply well done. Mariah tastefully made it hers without veering off too far away from the original melody. Long Ago and Daydream Interlude can go though and I'd swap them with One Night and Slipping Away. They would've gone well with all the mid-tempos. Slipping Away is truly that song that was unjustly scrapped. One Night has the most beautiful intro. She exuded Stevie Wonder's influence on this record. It's just straight up fire. A perfect ode to your baby sisters and nieces. I also feel like she had Alison in mind when she wrote it. She honestly kind of over recorded in Daydream and truly mastered the art of album making, because even the scrapped tracks are phenomenal. When the hell do "throwaways" sound this freaking great? Daydream Mariah was simply a cut above everyone. She is God's favorite. (Friday 5 September 2025; 12:30)

I'm so glad she hasn't gotten any plastic surgery like Madonna or other celebrities because I believe in aging naturally. Kai Cenat interview (110,940) by jaker20 from US It's crazy how great she looks now. She looks even better than 10 years ago. Hollywood is also having a moment right now with all the emerging technologies but Mariah always had a great base beauty anyway. She also seems more comfortable and playful here. Daydream (110,944) by Giovanni from USA Is definitely one of her best and what would have made it better is if "Slipping away" had made the album. I would have swapped out "Open arms" for "Slipping away" and I know Tommy was the reason why it didn't make the album. I love Journey but "Open arms" is the one song I don't care for. I also believe Daydream Mariah would have covered "At your best (you are love)" perfectly. "Fantasy" is one of her biggest hits but one I never play, I prefer playing "One sweet day" and "Always be my baby". I prefer Butterfly Mariah because of her raspy tone, also the "Butterfly" album cover is her best album cover in my opinion. I also loved what would have been "The art of letting go" album cover but Mariah changed it which was disappointing because it's a very nice album cover. I'm happy with the "Here for it all" album cover. She looks happy and like the legend she is. Mariah has such a nice smile. (Thursday 4 September 2025; 22:27)

Random things will pop up in my head like song covers I wish she would have recorded, or thinking about past eras and future number ones. It would get boring posting about the same topic. I usually always move on to something else. I still think about what could have been with "The art of letting go" album. Wished Mariah would have just released the album. I still wanna hear those songs from the leaked tracklist like the song with Stevie Wonder. Maybe they were fake or Mariah didn't like them anymore. I think it would be a risk and any mess up would just be more ammo for haters. For me she has more than enough but how awesome would it be if she did get herself a 20th number one. I do believe "HFIA" will be a good album regardless. MC back in the studio (110,824) by Bobby A from United States Shezz, this is great news. Surely, some JD remixes and new songs are on the way. MC's surprise studio picture looks like JD's So So Def studio. I really feel now that no more singles will be released until after the album drops. I am saying this because the way MC revealed the tracklist in such a social media strategy way to build anticipation with the song titles and lyric two liners. I believe Gamma wants multiple songs to "album bomb" on the Hot 100 like Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem did in May. It will probably happen with Mi, Play This Song, Confetti and Champagne, I Won't Allow It, My Love, Jesus Do It, Here For It All, and In My Feelings. People are talking about these songs the most in social media comments. I believe it will happen for her HFIA. 2010 is when streaming numbers were allowed in the calculation equation for the Hot 100. It's a good song and it could have been the song of the Summer if Mariah had another verse and a video ready to go. I realize now in order for a song to be a hit fans need to stream but a video doesn't hurt. I still like watching new music videos. It's very apparent Tommy infiltrated the board in '96 and wanted to humiliate the crap out of her since they were on the brink of divorce. They still objectively did her dirty during TEOM when she blatantly deserved AOTY and refused to give it to her. Though the Grammys are desperate to save their credibility now, they thought making Beyoncé the most awarded in 2023 would reel in ratings, but it backfired. The general public's sentiment was, "Nah, she good, but she not that good." It worked for them having her until around 2015 imho, but everyone truly woke up after she won Best Country Album last year. Everyone thought, "Okay, so sponsored and paid by Jay-Z," which we all know is true. It's so clearly her retaliation for being snubbed in the Country Music Awards, so they called their friends up in the Grammy board. It was a pathetic move though, it's sadly backfired and now most of America think the Grammys is a joke. It turns out all the small towns throughout the nation know the authentic country sound and America is not just LA and New York. Anywho, MC did surprisingly get an invite to the Grammys to present for Miley, so maybe they've cooled off on Mariah and are finally ready to develop a decent relationship with her. I love how Kristofer does her lips and how she didn't get fillers like everyone else in Hollywood. She simply sculpts them with makeup in such a brilliant way. Mariah has found her signature looks and is unapologetically maximizing them. She is just "making the most of life". She truly is doing what ever the hell she wants and I aspire to be that festive. "I'm about to reach a new beauty peak, darlings: body snatched, face snatched, a VMA moment, a BET Icon Award moment, maybe a couple of number ones, and beat The Beatles. A Grammy moment to remind everyone who the **** I am." She understands bipolar disorder is bleak, so she's choosing to experience all the highs to their fullest extent. "I don't care. Buy the award.
