About Jeff from USA: MC lover from day one!

Close to your heart (89,960) by Jeff from USA
Very interesting question. Mine would definitely be Butterfly. It was released just as I was discovering my sexuality and beginning to understand adult relationships. There was some definite pain, but some bright spots as well.

Here's my order of events:
- Honey (the exhilaration)
- My All (I'm in love)
- Breakdown (you don't love me anymore)
- The Beautiful Ones (they hurt you every time)
- Close My Eyes (maybe I was too young for all of this)
- The Roof (years later, I choose to remember the good times)

Angels Cry Prelude all the way. She sounds majestic.

Celebrating history (89,832) by Jeff from USA
Let's treat it like a holiday. On 6/05, the voice hit number one on the Billboard charts with WBT.

Re: New Start (89,631) by Jeff from USA
Joaquin, we love everyone. Lol. Andrew, no offense taken, dahling. Never.

Re: New start (89,623) by Jeff from USA
Hi Andrew, by "day one", I mean the first day/time I heard her. "Day one" for me, not of her career. Cheers.

Unplugged V2 (89,616) by Jeff from USA
The dynamic relationship between Mariah and her background singers is phenomenal. They clearly support her and understand what she can do musically, even on a rough day. I would love to see that relationship play out in an "Unplugged" setting. Watching them interact with her during live performances always makes me smile. If you want an example, check out this performance. The smiles on their faces when MC flawlessly nails the ending is priceless.

New start (89,615) by Jeff from USA
I was raised in an extremely conservative religious environment, so until the age of 15, I was not exposed to music outside of "the church". One day, at 15 years old, I turned on MTV and heard THE VOICE. I was watching the video for Fantasy and fell in love. I saved my money, bought a CD player, and purchased my first CD ever: Daydream. I've been a lamb ever since.

Angels Cry (89,357) by Jeff from USA
Such an underrated gem. But can we talk about the prelude? I'm not sure if I even believe in angels, but that made me want to believe.

Next single (89,356) by Jeff from USA
I'm not holding my breath, but I would love to see Caution and 8th Grade released as singles. I think, unfortunately, that all but the Lambily have moved on.

Caution - now that we've had some time (89,274) by Jeff from USA
I don't know about the rest of you, but Caution is still playing on repeat in my car. (Yes, I'm old school enough to still buy the CD. Ha ha.) I'm curious to know. Since it has been out for a while, what are the standouts to you? Have they changed since the beginning? For me, "8th Grade" started as my favorite and has remained so. "Giving Me Life" has moved up to my second favorite, and "Caution" is just fun to blast through the speakers. What do you guys think?

How are singles chosen? (89,048) by Jeff from USA
Hi everyone. Just curious. Does anyone know how singles are chosen? Is it the label? Does the artist have influence? Are second, third, etc. singles chosen based on downloads/radio requests? Thanks for any info.

Before we move on (88,930) by Jeff from USA
I know Caution didn't perform well with sales, but I'm just not ready to move on to "the next album". I have literally listened to the album in my car every day since it came out. I simply can't let it go. I'm still in bliss listening to this album. It's brilliant.

A No No remix (88,637) by Jeff from USA
So, I love Stefflon Don. She's amazing. But. I agree with other posters that I am disappointed that the remix didn't feature new vocals from MC.

The tour (88,541) by Jeff from USA
I love that critics and the lambily alike are embracing the tour. MC looks amazing and seems to be genuinely having fun. The song list is the freshest in years. Good for you, MC.

Treat it like a holiday. I'm so excited for the setlist. Got my tickets ready for Atlantic City, NJ. #StoneGroove

Caution trivia (87,320) by Jeff from USA
When I heard "Caution", I immediately thought of "It's Like That". Caution, it's so explosive. Them chickens is ash, I'm lotion. Is that what you were thinking?

Proceeding with Caution (87,319) by Jeff from USA
Now that Christmas is over, do y'all think Caution can come back into the spotlight? I hope so. I'm so excited that the album is popular with critics, and I hope that the general public embraces it. This is such an amazing offering from MC. I hope it gets the attention it deserves.

8th Grade (86,271) by Jeff from USA
I have to say, this song has me excited like I was after I heard WBT the first time. It's fire. I love it.

Re: MC's saddest (84,112) by Jeff from USA
At the MLB All Star Concert, Mariah sang Looking In. Her arm was still in the sling and she cried during the performance. She was amazing, and it infuriates me to this day that some people in the audience were talking and laughing. She opened her heart on that one.

Re: Worst Mariah song (84,111) by Jeff from USA
Meteorite. I know some people liked it, but it's just unlistenable to me. Tried but failed.

New avatar (83,245) by Jeff from USA
Hi everyone. I've been a long-time member. I lurk a lot, but sometimes post. Today felt like a good day for a change of avatars. Is anyone else feeling the "Breakdown" love?
