Singing low (81,255) by Jeff from USA Hi everyone. I've been on a kick lately trying to find songs that MC sings "low". (I'm not musically inclined, so I'm not sure if it's a key or a register... someone can instruct me, if you're willing.) Anyway, looking particularly at Daydream forward for any songs that qualify. Re: Andrew/Butterfly (78,601) by Jeff from USA Andrew, that was beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I was 16 when Butterfly was released. I came out to my family and experienced the highs and lows of my first real love. Mariah's Magnum Opus quite literally may have saved my life, just by giving me the ability to sing through my pain. Re: All the Hits merch (78,236) by Jeff from USA Hi Matty, the merch I saw was t-shirts, key chains, lanyards, etc. There were some Rainbow-esq looking materials as well as the cover shot from #1s to Infinity. I ended up with a black tee with MC on the front and the All the Hits tour dates on the back. The t-shirts were $40 (US). Hope that helps. Have fun. (Friday 1 September 2017; 13:50)

Concerts (78,131) by Jeff from USA Just curious as to how many of us on the board have attended the "All the Hits" tour and what your thoughts are. I went to the Newark, NJ show and happened to sit beside someone who said she was there for Lionel and didn't like MC. After Mariah's set, I asked for her thoughts. What she said was very interesting to me. She said, "Well, the woman has amazing talent but seems like she is scared her voice will break down so she doesn't actually sing much. When she does, she sounds great." She went on to say that she would have preferred to hear MC go for it and miss a few times than not try at all. I was pretty amazed at this because I felt the exact same way. So in this case, a die hard fan and a non-fan felt the same way. Anyone else have thoughts about this? (Saturday 26 August 2017; 18:59)

Backup singers (78,130) by Jeff from USA I am a big fan of MC's backup singers, especially Mary Ann Tatum. They all have phenomenal voices and look like they genuinely are happy when she has a good show and performs well. They also very humbly pick up the slack on rough nights. Well... almost anything (76,181) by Jeff from USA I feel like in some ways, "Thirsty" was Mariah speaking to Mariah. "Say you a boss now, ain't nuthin out your range... well, almost anything." The only thing that is still elusive is the confidence. She has the fame, fortune, family, and a stack of accomplishments a mile long. But in her mind, she has to prove herself, as a singer, as a songwriter, as an African American woman, as independent. I say down with the diva. I want the confident and creative woman that's inside.
