Geesh. You make a good point about AIWFCIY being MC's signature song. It comes around every year with new folks listening to this song, including my kids. Makes me feel old the song turned 20 this year. I was 17 when it came out. Do the math, lol. Deedre, I figured it was about time to get into the Christmas spirit. The mark of a true fan, lol (48,575) by Stacey from USA Over the years, I've had my fair share of drama with past and present members. Some have questioned my fanhood, called me names, etc. A lot of times we don't see what we as individuals outside of this forum do on a daily basis. During the Christmas season, I have played AIWFCIY a ton. So much so lately that last night as I got some take out for dinner, my 6 year old daughter sang bits and pieces of it on her own. It was so cute. She even requests it in the car without me saying anything. So the next time anyone wants to question my love of Mariah's music, check yourself. I must be playing it a ton if my kids can sing along. Now that is the mark of a true fan. *smiles* (Wednesday 17 December 2014; 21:53)

NYC Christmas concerts (48,490) by Stacey from USA So jealous of you guys who get to attend the NYC Christmas concerts. Enjoy. I attended the final concert of the Charmbracelet tour on December 22 and saw her perform AIWFCIY. I would love to see her do a type of concert (ala Unplugged), breaking down each song into a more acoustic arrangement. (Saturday 13 December 2014; 8:04)

Thoughts (48,338) by Stacey from USA I applaud "The Talk" for standing up for Mariah. I still say, she should have "made it happen" (pun intended) and pre-recorded her song. Easy to hang up the phone, do what you need to do to perform, then get back on the phone. But, it just goes to show she will sing and perform for the fans. I hope after her Christmas concerts, she takes a break and really works on getting a healthy vocal range back, reach the potential of where her voice is now (if that makes any sense). When personal matters are high, it's best to take a step back, fade away, deal with it, then once done with those issues, come back and shut up the critics. She did it with TEOM. G.G., Badr (48,213) by Stacey from USA Well said. Your thoughts are spot on. The part where she sings "I hear those sleigh bells ringing", she moved away and cut out during the word "sleigh". At that one moment, I can see the parallels some Twitter posts made comparing the voice to the beginning of her tour. Granted, she killed the rest of the tour. I don't know. It's sad to think one of the greatest voices, greatest careers with accomplishments few would hope to even come close to matching, is being talked about like this. MC came back with a vengence with TEOM after the debacle that was Glitter and ok performance of Charmbracelet. Yet, MC got it together. She had a good group of people around her and she killed it with that era. I think if she were to surround herself with good people, get with a good management team, take a break, I have no doubt she could come back and shut up her critics again. Ally McBeal (48,125) by Stacey from USA For some reason the audio at the end wasn't working. Anywho, I am glad fans of Ally McBeal got to hear such a fantastic song. It's always bugged me over the years more people didn't get to hear Lead The Way. IMO, it's one of her best ballads, so raw and emotional. Thanks for the reminder Lee. My son was born two weeks before Roc n Roe. He also calls me chicken from time to time, lol. I will also throw my hat in and give a shout out to Slipping Away. Such a fabulous beat. Get into the season (47,809) by Stacey from USA I choose to flick the drama off my shoulders by posting such a wonderful song to kick off the Christmas season. 20 years ago this song was released. Hard to believe, I know. And to this day it remains an absolute classic in the same league as White Christmas and The Christmas Song. Here's to my "boyfriend" Edward, lol. Abraham / tour (47,639) by Stacey from USA Abraham, I hesitate to write this because I know the drama that will follow. Then there is that one time where you just have to speak up. My post was all positive. And yet you manage to take one name you found annoying and post something critical. If PH is singing MC's praises, you know she is shutting up her critics, something I assumed all fans including yourself would agree with. Silly me, lol. Tour; In any event, she is sounding better with each stop. I can't wait for that first album post tour. After CB, we got the fabulous TEOM-like Daydream part II album. And you all know Daydream is my jam. I remember getting all giddy hearing snippets of TEOM. I can't wait for that place she'll be in post tour and what songs may come from it. Lee TS (47,593) by Stacey from USA That end was too precious. The part where Roc said hello back to MC was so sweet. As a fellow mom to a 3 1/2 year old boy, I love those moments too. Roe was funny. All she wanted was her binky, lol. And you could see MC like one of us all saying, now you only get it at bedtime. Too funny. Thanks for sharing. And yes, her voice sounded great. It's ironic to me. The people calling others haters are the drama seekers in reality. The rest of us are just trying to have an enjoyable conversation, even if at times we disagree. Some fans take a disagreement so dang personally, like disagreeing with their opinion is the same as a personal insult. It's so laughable, really. Adam (47,475) by Stacey from USA I agree with your last post. Those comments by Steve Bartels were crap. It's always driven me nuts this album didn't do better. Oh sure, I've resolved myself to know it will never get the public praise it deserves. But then, when I hear comments like that, I can't help but get mad again. YDKWTD sounds so great in the car and would have blown up on radio with the right promotion. *sigh* Oh well, it is what it is. Just crap this guy says stuff to cover his own behind. Extremes are not healthy nor productive, and IMO extreme viewpoints lead to more drama/arguments. I like how the webmaster posts any article related to Mariah. It allows for more discussion. And yet I'll also say, many here just need to chill and not take disagreements so dang personally. Folks need to lighten up. The drama is so unnecessary. Shelly / Shezz (47,057) by Stacey from USA Shelly, I have the "Out in Japan" concert. During my collecting days, I had two CDs, one produced in Japan and one from Australia. Both contain HQ recordings of all the songs. Shezz, I couldn't agree more. I've been saying "there's got to be a way" for fans to talk all things MC without all the drama. At 24 when I first started posting online, I got into it all the time with other fans. I took every disagreement so personally. I got so caught up in anger over fans who dared to talk about other artists on an MC fansite. Now at 37, I laugh at how silly and immature I acted. I could care less if folks want to posts lists of their favs or talk about Ariana Grande. It doesn't matter what people discuss. I learned that from simply growing up. I guess some fans still have some growing up to do. Who knows, lol. In the end, faceless words here are so trivial to the more important things I see everyday (i.e. my family and friends). It's why I always say "it ain't that deep" because it's not. (Thursday 2 October 2014; 23:23)
