About Bobby A from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Help me there's stairs (111,075) by Bobby A from United States
In seventeen days everyone will be talking about MC's new album. I think E=MC2 was the last time MC had an album that was anticipated so much. People will forget all about her not moving during performances very soon. Lol. Her music is going to be front and center on 09/26.

So... thoughts on the VMA performance? (111,046) by Bobby A from United States
I Shazamed every song in the mix and the same results came back not so surprising. There was such a mix of prerecorded and live vocals that Shazam came back with these results.

Big Energy/Obsessed/Honey/Herartbreaker - prerecorded from the Global Citzens Concert

Fantasy ft. Ol' Dirty Bastard - mixed vocal recording with live vocals

We Belong Together - prerecorded, live vocals and the Late Night Valentine Mix - (in my opinion)

We still love MC.

VMAs (111,044) by Bobby A from United States
MC is going to score big with HFIA. I just feel it. Once people hear Jesus I Do and Mi, the album will have a huge debut on the Billboard 200. Maybe 150K - 200K is more like it. I am going to leave my sales prediction numbers alone now.

It's coming (110,996) by Bobby A from United States
Me too. Lambs and non Lambs have made it the number 1 preordered R&B soul album on Amazon. I am expecting E=MC2 first week sales numbers. I will explain my reasoning tomorrow. All of my analysis is saying so. I know. Hear me out. I will explain more tomorrow.

Vision of Love Mariah and Ben version (110,995) by Bobby A from United States
Do you think we will ever hear the Vision of Love demo version? I am curious to hear it and the other songs on the demo tape. VOL capitvated me the summer of 1990. It was different. It had a gospel feel to it. VOL had some crazy runs and riffs. There was nothing on the radio at the time like it. People were asking who was this girl Mariah Carey. And then we met her on The Arsenio Hall Show and the rest is history. Everything will come full circle on the VMAs.

MC's career defining moments (110,992) by Bobby A from United States
1. Debut album defined Mariah Carey as a songwriter, producer, hallmark of the style of melisma and ad-libs, use of acoustic and electric guitars, powerful ballads with soulful R&B, and became a superstar within 3 years of her debut

2. Started the trend of featuring rappers on her songs

3. First Christmas album was a multiplatinum success

4. Started the remix singles trend

5. Blended R&B and hip hop

6. Created her own label

VMA's (110,980) by Bobby A from United States
It is going to be really fabulous tomorrow evening for MC to receive the Vanguard Award, and see her perform live on the CBS. It has been reported on X that MC has been rehearsing with her band and her singers for the past two days. I feel that there may be two special guests as part of her award presentation and performance. Tomorrow is going to be huge for MC because Here For It All will be mentioned, heard, and seen throughout the 3 hour awards show.

Daydream (110,974) by Bobby A from United States
Great posts Lambi and Bill. I have always thought Daydream was a special album for MC because we saw her headed more sonically into the R&B hip hop world.

Daydream (110,956) by Bobby A from United States
Mariah and her beautiful ballads make me want to fall in love. I wonder will "My Love" be just as beautiful Open Arms. It just might be the MC's interpretation that turns it into a R&B power ballad.

Kai Cenat's stream (110,951) by Bobby A from United States
Bill, I think the interview was just an opportunity for MC to connect with the younger generation. Think of the whole conversation as MC stripping back her diva persona, being seen as down to earth, and having fun with a group of college guys. She has been viewed as less of a diva during the past three months.

There is a lot of imagery in When I Saw. WISY is one of my favorite MC ballads.

Kai Cenat's stream (110,933) by Bobby A from United States
Also, her acapella of Heartbreaker sounds so good. I'm hoping for these same great vocals on the album and upcoming deluxe edition. It seems like when MC is in her "zone" and comfortable her vocals shine.

Right. I hope L.A. joins MC on at least one U.S. promo TV event to talk about how he was involved in the making of the album.

Yes. I loved this interview. The way MC pulled the desk chair towards Kai showed that she was really comfortable being in his company.

Random thought (110,901) by Bobby A from United States
Could Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis be seen as number 4? The two producers brought out some gorgeous melodies from MC on Glitter, Charmbracelet, and Rainbow. The dynamic duo would have been producers on TEOM if they didn't have prior commitments. They sent Big Jim Wright as their replacement.

Super Bowl (110,869) by Bobby A from United States
Lambi, I love it. Brandy would be icing on the cake. The beat for "I Wanna Down" drops and the crowd goes crazy. Brandy appears in MC's Loverboy video racing car with TLC.

The 5 chosen Tommy producers (110,865) by Bobby A from United States
I just found a Barry Mann Brown Eyed Woman 45 record today. The song is very souful like Can You Hear Me? Finding his record made me think about the five chosen producers for MC's first two albums. Tommy chose Rhett Lawrence, Narada Michael Walden, Ric Wake, Barry Mann, and Carole King. Why didn't he choose David Foster to collaborate with MC? I wonder what a Mariah Carey and David Foster collaboration would have sounded like in 1990-1992.

Year end record? (110,863) by Bobby A from United States
I have noticed that too. It's like we all knew 2025 would be the start of a new era. Bill, Dove, Lighty from China and Libra Lamb are back. We welcomed this year Giovanni, Lambi, and Baby from Dreamville. T is posting more this year. Randy came out of hibernation. Stacey makes me laugh. Terna and Shezz are great analysts. Mimi is our Tamron Hall with her great insight and commentary. Zachariah is my best friend now. Edward looks for my Saturday post to refute my claims. Lol. I don't want the number #1 slot at the end of the year. I want another board member to be #1. We are all family in the land of Mariah Carey.
