About Libra Lamb from USA:

Boyz II Men performance (102,711) by Libra Lamb from USA
I hear she does car commercials. In Japan. One time she met John Stamos on a plane. And he told her she was pretty.

What is your initial fan story? (102,632) by Libra Lamb from USA
When I first heard Fantasy, and the song was everywhere at that time, I knew that there was something special about Mariah. I'd heard some of her other songs before but I was too young or distracted to appreciate them and notice her. I bought her back catalogue and fell in love even more with her, the lyrics and her unique voice. Eventually I started collecting singles and albums to obtain every possible version of her songs. Teenage years were the toughest for me so I would put on my earphones and fall asleep listening to her albums every night and I would be instantly transported to my happy place. I remember the introspective songs the most, as a gay man I always felt like an outsider myself and I felt comfort in knowing that it would all be okay someday because Mariah told me so. Thank you Mariah for the music. We will always have the amazing unparalleled catalogue that we have affectionately dubbed the soundtrack to our lives.

Legacy (102,613) by Libra Lamb from USA
Also, the only artist so far, that I know of, that is now expected to have a number 1 song annually with AIWFCIY. She's unparalleled as an icon and would have more number 1s if the single choices were handled differently and no one sabotaged her for years. Call me delusional or whatever but I also think she has more hits left in her and possibly another new number 1. I will always support her and buy her records. Having said that, it would be nice if her projects and releases were at least consistent. I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and she doesn't want it? Have a great day guys.

No new album in 2023 (102,593) by Libra Lamb from USA
Just perfect. Now she's alienating the last few people who follow her faithfully that are hoping for a solid project or album. I may not move on, but I'm losing my excitement for MC.

Observation (102,454) by Libra Lamb from USA
Please tell me what the point was Mr. All Knowing? See, my point was that my grandmother's birthday celebration was my priority that day, not MC or her fans. I'm old enough to know that there are more important things in life than pleasing complete strangers, like MC, her fans, and her now disqualified non fans. That's why I don't post often, everything you say here can and will be used against you by someone who knows nothing about you for some seriously randomness reasons. It's good enough for me that I send positive thoughts to MC all the time, including on her birthday, even if they are not all typed for you guys to read and pick apart. To me that counts more than typing up words for complete strangers to validate. But you know what? We love everybody. Again, it's not that deep. Take it easy.

Observation (102,438) by Libra Lamb from USA
Although I do not come here to bash or pick MC apart, I don't need anyone telling me if I classify as a fan or not. I simply did not wish her a "Happy Anniversary " because I was too busy celebrating my own grandmother's 95th birthday. Also, this is a fan board, not a direct link to her, it's not guaranteed that she would even see it here. I have, however, wished her well and sent lovely direct messages to her via social media, and guess what? No response. But I don't care, I am sure she's too busy to acknowledge everyone just like I was busy on her birthday. It's not that deep. Take it easy.

Super Bowl (102,234) by Libra Lamb from USA
I'm not saying Mimi can't shine at a Superbowl performance, but I will say don't ever count her out. When they think that she can't do something, she sets out to prove them wrong. The Emancipation of Mimi, for example. She just needs to focus, her catalogue speaks for itself. Now, where the hell is new album and The Rarities 2?

It's A Wrap EP (102,200) by Libra Lamb from USA
I'm glad to see Mariah getting a lot of attention for a song that is over a decade old, besides AIWFCIY. Whoever said Mariah is not relevant until Christmas is delusional. The thing is, her discography has so many gems like this one and the children don't even know it yet, but they are slowly discovering her music. She's been slept on by the general public since TEOM and I think people are starting to crave real music again because the radio and top 40 is mostly hot garbage. She is and will always be the queen. All hail Mariah.

2010s the decade of scrutiny (102,178) by Libra Lamb from USA
I have to agree with this post, however, for me personally I love every MC album from 1990 to present, but if I had to name one that I play the least is Chanteuse. It was good, but it has been my least favorite since its release and I hardly ever revisit it. Great songs but it feels like something signature Mariah was missing. Maybe one day it will grow on me. Until new music is released, we have an entire discography to revisit that most artists could only dream of. MC is a musical genius and no one will ever take that away from her, like the light that shines bright inside of her. Now come on Mimi and put out a new album already.

Memoirs is underrated (102,154) by Libra Lamb from USA
Memoirs is possibly Mariah's most underrated album. So deep, so fun and it does what she set out to do. It is a mood. Love love love it.

If you could... (102,153) by Libra Lamb from USA
I would squeeze an album between Daydream and Butterfly, there was so much creativity and her voice was amazing and her spirit strong after her divorce. I imagine the lyrics would be some of her best following Butterfly, and the production unmatched. Also, the remixes would be pure fire, as usual. Title of the album: Enchanted. All original break up and love songs, a fun dance or club track or two. #1 debut album and lead single. I don't know if I believe there weren't any leftover tracks after Butterfly, I guess she was curating her All That Glitters album then too and I know the Glitter soundtrack is one of my faves in her discography. I personally think it's better that she recorded the entire soundtrack without giving half of the tracks to other artists. That's what makes it signature Mariah and special.

Memoirs is underrated (102,104) by Libra Lamb from USA
I agree about Memoirs, one of my favorite albums. Very "cohesive" lol I'm glad to see Mariah getting her viral moments, even if they end in cheesy "wraps". Too literal but we love everyone. H.A.T.E.U. still haunts me to this day.

MC To All (101,927) by Libra Lamb from USA
It really is amazing and we should consider ourselves blessed to still have her be alive, looking beautiful as ever, being celebrated, giving us shows and so much more after many years in the spotlight. Less than 10 minutes until it starts (at the time of posting). Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

CBS This Morning (101,630) by Libra Lamb from USA
I'm super excited about this. I know she will knock it out of the park and hopefully we'll be talking about it for years. She [is] funny and looks amazing and I hope we get new music soon, even if it's more Christmas songs. December 20th can't come soon enough.

Last Night a DJ Saved my Life (101,583) by Libra Lamb from USA
Do you think Mariah will ever release the music video for Last Night a DJ Saved my Life in High Def? She looks so gorgeous and I must say that the Glitter era was the best aesthetically. One of my favorite soundtracks. Also, we need that campy movie released on digital ASAP with all the music videos and lots of bonus features. All I want for Christmas is this. It's time.

Funko Pop (101,571) by Libra Lamb from USA
Thank you for posting this MC85, and I am glad you decided to post this because we all need some positivity around here. It has been disheartening to read some of the harsh criticism towards Mariah. It's, in my humble opinion, unnecessary. Having the need [to] state your opinion doesn't exclude you from being [a] human being and more compassionate, regardless of how strongly you feel about it. Sometimes I think some of you must be unhappy in your own lives to come here and want to put down and bash, yes bash, someone who's done nothing to you but provide her artistry as best as she can over the years. We love everybody.

Nick Cannon (101,559) by Libra Lamb from USA
I've never cared for Nick Cannon. I don't even care if he has 100 kids. The moment he showed off his diamond encrusted shoes hosting America's Got Talent I was repulsed. You know he had to pass by a ton of homeless people that day to get to his hosting job. Disgusting and out of touch with reality. Read the room Nick.

Re: The Pitchfork lists (101,390) (101,399) by Libra Lamb from USA
It's not that deep. Religion obviously means a lot to you Terna, but it doesn't mean that much to others. As a spiritual person, I believe in a higher being, but I don't think someone's opinion or statement is enough to worry about and get upset over. If anything, let others have their own opinions and let them worry about it when, and if, Jesus Christ comes back to judge them. You can't tell others what to think and what to say, we all have the right to believe and say whatever we want about religion or spirituality. I personally believe that religion is something that man invented to control others and profit off of their fears. Example the Catholic Church. Am I to burn at the stake too for my beliefs? I think not. I'm still a person who has good and evil inside, just like everyone else in the world. I would worry about the "blasphemy" and keep living my life focused on myself and how to improve as a human being. But, we love everyone.

Not yet, lol. Mariah will officially kick of the Christmas season on 11/01. I say play whatever music you want in the privacy of your home. I was singing Christmas carols yesterday and my spouse reminded me that it's too early. Bah, humbug. We love everyone.

Re: Toni Braxton (101,146) (101,369) by Libra Lamb from USA
Are you kidding me? The Heat is one of my all time favorite albums. I know I've said this here before but that's an album I can listen to now and still sounds just as fresh as it did then and there are no skips. Fairytale being the best song on there. I love me some Toni Braxton, love her voice, her tone, her everything. I still want an MC collaboration with her. Long as I Live was soooo good, I get emotional with this one. Sex and Cigarettes was good too.

Re: If it was Whitney? (101,052) (101,067) by Libra Lamb from USA
No disrespect to anyone here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Having said that, I don't think anyone except Mariah should decide what kind of music or album she wants to put out. She's so much more than we give her credit for. I wish she would release another comeback album just to show you all. Please give her the flowers she deserves while she is still with us. She's a musical genius.

That's a great list. Pretty sure you're right. There may be another one or two out there hidden in plain sight. She fell for him. On another note, do you think I Only Wanted was about Luis Miguel? I thought I heard that somewhere, maybe the memoir audiobook?

Who do we think Mariah was singing about in Memoirs, if anyone? She was still with Nick until 2016. Memoirs deserved better. H.A.T.E.U. haunts me to this day. Candy Bling.
