Re: New album (74,355) (74,364) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter My biggest concern is the roll out because usually Mariah's albums are always solid so I'm sure the material will be fine but all her recent roll outs have been so freaking messy and drama filled. However regarding material, I do have a concern now, because just 2 months back she said that she doesn't plan on releasing an album soon and that she will only release singles for now, and just a few weeks later we get this news. I am overjoyed there is an album coming but I don't want it to be a rush. She has some time off now for a short time but she'll be on the road and Vegas again soon so will she really have enough time? (Tuesday 11 April 2017; 01:46)

Had it been a random gift, like the necklace Mariah currently always wears (which is also a gift from James) then that's fine but I don't think the ring situation would be fine with anyone. Re: Art of Letting Go (74,324) (74,331) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter A little off topic, I know Tommy made Mariah cover up more than she does now in order to provide a more "wholesome" image for her and for people to concentrate on her voice but I don't get what she means when she says she was always covered from head to toe, like here is a picture from 1991, here is one from 1990, this is from 1992 and we have this from 1993 and another boob moment from 1993 as well. These are some example, there are more. I think she was more covered during the "Daydream" era though so maybe that's what she remembers. I don't know. Rumor has it that Mariah wanted to shoot or shot the video for VOL in red undergarments and then Tommy made her change it. Imagine if the red undergarment version was the released video haha. It's like they suddenly decide to release a song, it'll be hyped up to the lords and then we get a half baked song which sounds like Mishka produced it on a free software on the net (last time I called a song "half baked" a real lamb attacked me saying Mariah should be allowed to release half baked songs if she wants to, yes that's how far the excuses have sunk). This story, whether true or not was given by Stella. How am I sure? Because of the use of the word "unbridled" and also because TMZ is Stella's go to place. Stella has probably picked up this word from Mariah and now she uses it everywhere "unbridled success", "unbridled cash flow", "unbridled leeching", ok so the last one wasn't by her haha. Anyways if this is "true" and by true I mean, they have indeed decided to stop this dating act (because this was never really a true relationship) then I'm glad. They probably waited until the MW DVD release. However if it's not true and instead a story Stella planted, so that she can later "debunk" it then it's more pathetic. Anyways, apparently tomorrow is Bryan's birthday so we'll know for sure. If his anger over Kid's Choice Award was the "last straw" then why stick around until the Cabo trip? Also guess Mariah was being a little to flirtatious with Bryan and Stella got angry since Stella's end game is to have Mariah all to herself so it was time to give him the heave ho. Why can't it ever be a "mutual decision" break up and always has to be "Mariah got played, Mariah was used" break up? I mean even if it's true why can't they just say they mutually decided to end it instead of having to make it nasty and hence paving the way for more drama? (Monday 10 April 2017; 12:12)

They are always surprised by how hands on she is with the whole songwriting and production aspect and not just singing. The fact that she is one of the best vocalist is well known but people always get surprised when they see that she has more than that to offer. A lot of people see the diva persona and forget that this woman penned all her songs including 17 of her 18 #1s. I always love hearing what other artists in the industry say about Mariah because it just shows she is that much of a musical genius. Everyone from P Diddy to Miguel has talked about her magical ability to create masterpieces. While the ones she has been releasing recently are not up to her standard, no one can deny her impact on the music industry and her ability to not only write songs that'll make you cry but also dance the night away. Mariah was under the impression it will drop late March, but since it's not her single, she probably doesn't know the details. They shot the video too, I hope it's coming soon. I love Busta, although I don't know how he's doing commercially at the moment, but I just want a hot song, that can be the summer anthem. They are playing it out to be IKWYW part 2 and I'm here for it, after all it kick started the return of the voice. (Saturday 8 April 2017; 18:30)

The video has some of the most beautiful shots ever, with the gorgeous rain forest and the underwater scene and the possible "Little Mermaid" homage, but they kinda messed it up. The story line ultimately didn't end up making sense, also it was uncomfortable to watch Mariah cradling her breasts and looking uncomfortably at the camera haha. I wish they had some flashback scenes with Trey to show their romance. (Thursday 6 April 2017; 22:04)

The person clearly meant that when put in a proper story line, sexy scenes can be more tasteful, instead of doing straight up "Touching myself" vanity shots with no apparent story line. Case in point, Mariah was quite sexy in the ILT video yet it didn't look tacky because it was part of a story line, same for "Honey" (where she basically strips down to her undergarments) and yet it doesn't look tacky. DFAU is another video of her laying down in her undergarments, swimming naked in a pool, making out, yet it doesn't look tacky because it's part of a story line, the visuals add to the story the song is talking about. A more recent example may even be TMB. She doesn't have to appear "vulnerable" for it to be acceptable for her to do sexy scenes, like bliss said, it doesn't look as bad when the sexiness is balanced out with a proper story line instead of it being the only plot of the video. Just talking about "empowering women" and posting "strong" quotes that you think makes you look like a "bad ass" doesn't make anyone "a not to be messed with" person. Because show me 1, yes 1 good thing that Stella has done for Mariah or gotten for Mariah that has helped breathe new life in her musical career, and I emphasize on musical career because that's what Mariah Carey is, a musician, a singer-songwriter. What honestly pisses me off is that not only did they not do anything to rejuvenate her career (something they are being paid for, with monetary and other fringe benefits), instead they are tearing down what was once the rightful image of a legend, a musical superstar, and a celebrity who kept her private life private. Now we get the new image of an overexposed diva, who is having staged nip slips left and right, faking 2 relationships back to back, leaking the most ridiculous rumors and just all in all being the complete opposite of who she said she is. Yet some delusional people will come here and say "maybe there is a master plan" like girl where? Where is this darn plan you speak of? (Wednesday 5 April 2017; 20:49)

Mariah shouldn't have gone on the show, she was above it and also she isn't the type to criticize aspiring artists. But I guess she thought her role would be different. Oh well, whatever done is done, all parties should move on. This is ridiculous to be bringing this up now and stirring new drama because now everyone will be like "What did Mariah do?"
