Since Butterfly, Mariah's always given a reason for the title of her albums and how she arrived at them. Prior, she gave generic answers of "it sounded cool" (Music Box) to the songs all having a dream-like vibe to them (Daydream). I think they were really deeper than that. Knowing what we know now, I think Music Box was how she saw herself. Locked away, only came out to sing pretty songs, then shut back in the box. Daydream because she later said that during that period nothing seemed real to her. The marriage, the success, the adoration. She said during the photo shoot for the album cover she was asked to smile but couldn't bring herself to do it. (Thursday 19 October 2017; 16:46)

Re: Foxwoods (78,831) (78,842) by Bill from the UK You know what, I have to give praise when due. I've seen some clips of the Foxwoods show and I agree. Mariah was herself again. She was moving (lol, how can it be that it's come to the point that we praise her for moving? Haha), she seemed confident and she looked fantastic. The last pictures I saw of her were those awful pictures with Tanaka in the "hooker" outfit, but she looked slimmer and elegant and glowing. Her voice sounded good and she seemed to be singing more live than she usually does (again, how has it come to praising a singer for actually singing haha but I'll take what I can get). She certainly seemed in a better place. Hope this lasts. She was the star she used to be. Well done MC. (Monday 16 October 2017; 22:07)

Re: Rainbow tour live in Los Angeles (78,801) (78,809) by Bill from the UK Thanks, I'm so pleased I saw her during her prime, though she was so good back then it was sort of taken for granted. Had I known she'd lip 90% of her material from the next tour onwards, I guess I would have appreciated it all the more. The concert is in my top ten best days of my life. When she started singing Emotions, I just burst into tears because I couldn't believe she was there in front of me. Not only that, but seeing the larger than life backing singers and the band who were on her concert videos... it was so surreal to me. She also sang most songs in a higher key than the studio version which was amazing. Hero went down massively with the crowd. She was professional, funny, poised, graceful and gone with the wind. Re: Rainbow tour live in Los Angeles (78,796) (78,800) by Bill from the UK I saw her at the London concert. I also saw her London Daydream concert so, for me, Rainbow wasn't as great as Daydream was. The skits were good fun though. I remember a boxing match between her and Bianca, and a beauty pageant etc. It was a fun night but didn't compare to how awestruck I was at Daydream.
