MIAMTEC (46,713) by B from USA
I really hope Mariah tours the US. I've been a fan since 1995 and have never seen her live. MIAMTEC is a musical masterpiece. It's confessional and cathartic. In my opinion it's her best album since 2005 and it deserves some recognition. Maybe 2015 will see Mariah's return to the top of the charts.

MIAMTEC (46,682) by B from USA
The lyrics to Thirsty, Camouflage, and Faded are clearly about Nick. Saying Camouflage is about Mariah's dad is insane. It's about the end of a relationship. She questions whether or not he ever loved her and if he still does. It doesn't matter if she wrote these songs this year or four years ago.

Nick (46,616) by B from USA
I think Nick will demand custody of the children as a ploy to get Mariah to offer him a settlement of a larger amount of money than he would get under the terms of their pre-nuptial agreement. Cannon saying that he is concerned about Mariah's mental health state, which he claims is toxic for his family is all part of his scheme. Mariah is a survivor. She has the children and her family. She's better off without Nick.

MIAMTEC (46,615) by B from USA
MIAMTEC has sold 100,000 copies which by today's standards is the same as going Gold. Think about it. Albums don't sell like they used to. Her career is far from over. She got some of the best reviews of her career for MIAMTEC.

Nick (46,476) by B from USA
Nick used Mariah. It's sad but true. I can't believe he allowed his family to bad mouth the mother of his children. I think he said he's worried about her because they have a prenup and he knows he won't get a dime of her money unless he somehow gets custody of the kids. At least we now know why Mariah didn't promote the album. It was because she was dealing with this mess. I bet Nick cheated.

The writing was on the wall (46,271) by B from USA
Me. I am Mariah is filled with lyrics about a failed relationship. Thirsty is about Nick's hunger for fame. He told the world he was with Nicole from The Pussycat Dolls and left her for Mariah and that he was with Kim Kardashian. The lyrics speak for themselves. I knew from the first listen that they were having problems. I think this ordeal with inspire Mariah. She'll release an album like Butterfly next. Mark my words. This explains why she didn't promote MIAMTEC.

Sad (46,188) by B from USA
Nick made Mariah happy and this makes me feel for her. I think it's true and I think it's why she didn't want to do any promo for the album. I think she's going to tour and reconnect with her fans and either release the album or release a new album next year, her twenty fifth in the business.

MIAMTEC (46,023) by B from USA
MIAMTEC is a great album. If the album had been released when #Beautiful was at its peak this album would have sold better. The album proves Mariah can still make timeless music. I think Money would fit in nicely on the radio at the moment. Problem and that Jason Derulo song both have blaring horns in the chorus just like Money. And the silly yet catchy chorus is brilliant.

Think again (45,995) by B from USA
I love the new album. I know a lot of people that were let down by Memoirs. The lyrics read like a little girl's diary. Obsessed and Laungishing are the best songs on the album. I also love Candy Bling. A lot fans myself included were worried this album was going to be Memoirs to the second power.

Sales (45,945) by B from USA
Mariah's last album was disastrous. Memoirs was creatively dire. Thankfully, Mariah learned from the mistakes she made on Memoir Of An Imperfect Angel. I honestly think the low sales are because fans and the public alike think the new album is Memoirs part two. Which is sad because it's a return to form for Mariah.

Thoughts (45,923) by B from USA
Me. I am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse is an excellent album. The promo, singles, and videos were the problem with this era. Mariah doesn't need a producer to save her. She needs a manager that can guide her and take full advantage of her talent. I'm happy with the album and don't understand the hate it's getting from other fans.

J.D. (45,873) by B from USA
Mariah firing of JD suggest that she knows that she made a mistake hiring him. A mistake she should have learned after the Randy debacle. A tour would be a great way for her to reconnect with her fans. I think she should call the tour Me I Am Mariah... An Intimate Evening With The Elusive Chanteuse.

Meteorite (45,815) by B from USA
"But it's on what many Carey fans will probably find the most throwaway cut, 'Daydream Interlude (Fantasy Sweet Dub Mix)', that the singer really defines herself. At her best, as she is on this clipped, spunky track, Carey is a disco diva for the '90s, a worthy successor to trailblazing women like Donna Summer and Vicki Sue Robinson, R&B singers with an affinity for the endless groove." That excerpt from a review of Daydream explains why I love Meteorite. The description fits Meteorite perfectly. It sums up my feelings about the track and Mariah.

Gospel album (45,772) by B from USA
I hope she does. Fly Like A Bird and I Wish You Well are Gospel lite. If she does do it I hope she includes covers of traditional hymns along with original material. Great topic for a Sunday.

Best (45,770) by B from USA
Mariah's best covers are Without You and I Still Believe. Not to mention the countless samples and interpolations she's done. The only misstep in her entire career was sampling Cameo's Candy for Loverboy.

Relevancy (45,747) by B from USA
Mariah's talent and marriage to Nick makes her relevant. If the press wasn't talking about her then I'd be worried.

I think she originally recoreded DYKWYGT for #1's.

I agree. It's hauntingly beautiful. It's one of my favorites. Mariah is still the best. She writes her songs she's not like Beyonce and other so called divas who change a few words to get a writing credit or only agree to record a song if they get a writing credit. You can tell a song is written by Mariah. Like Faith Hill's Where Are You Christmas and the songs she wrote for Allure. She has a signature.

Me. I am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse (45,723) by B from USA
Cry: A vocal showcase. Mariah proving she's still The Voice.
Faded: The Mike Will Made It beat and Mariah's stunning vocals make this a standout.
Dedicated: Mariah and Nas reminiscing over a sapmle of Wu-Tang Clan's Da Mystery of Chessboxin is perfection.
#Beautiful: Mariah and Miguel harmonizing together is beauitiful.
Thirsty: Pull down those Tom Fords and act like you see the genius of Mariah's clever lyrics.
Make It Look Good: Stevie Wonder playing the harmonica while Mariah belts over that skipping beat is classic Carey. She proves she could still own the A/C market if she wanted to.
You're Mine (Eternal): Mariah's best ballad since 2005.
YDKWTD: Mariah and JD proving they can still make magic together.
Supernatural: Mariah and her twins are too cute. Mariah belts like it's 1995. It's cheesy and adorable.
Meteorite: Mariah doing disco. A true standout.
Camouflage: A gospel ballad that finds Mariah reflecting on the end of a relationship.
Money: A catchy 90's throwback jam.
This is one of Mariah's best albums. It deserves to be heard.

MIAMTEC (45,686) by B from USA
So, Mariah posted then deleted that 9-9-14 MIAMTEC will be relaunched with four new songs and that Thirsty is the next single with a video already shot. Sounds promising.

Butterfly (45,597) by B from USA
I agree Butterfly is Mariah's best album and so does she. Butterfly is dark, moody, and elegant. She wrote some of her most introspective lyrics for that album. Close My Eyes is hauntingly beautiful with the vivid descriptions. The Roof, Breakdown, and Butterfly along with Close My Eyes, and Babydoll are career defining songs for her. She named her publishing company Beyond Idolization which is a reference to the "Do you care for me beyond idolization" line from Babydoll.

Another theory (45,596) by B from USA
I think the love of Mariah's life is Jeter. They were a modern day Marilyn and Joe. She wrote about him on every album since Butterfly. The references to The Roof and My All are about him. The last song I was absolutely sure was about him was For The Record with all the reference.

Theories (45,594) by B from USA
Mariah says in the liner notes to the new album that it's for the broken hearted. Has anyone else read that. When I did I thought of her relationship with Nick. She makes a lot of references to him. Thirsty: The Hollywood sign is calling you again is about his stints on America's Got Talent. Money: I dream the impossible dream which is a reference to the song The Impossible from Memoirs. Camouflage: I camouflage my tears and you wear your disguise which is about his persona as a comedian. Make It Look Good: He's a known player and looks really good. Faded: You're always somewhere but you're not there for me which is about their separation, they've spent a lot of time apart recently. I really think their having problems. I think it started after the birth of the twins. I found and was reading the USA Today interview she did when she was gearing up for the release of Memoirs and the interviewer said neither her nor Cannon speak about their marriage because of how private Mariah was. Boy, how time changes things. Over the past couple of years Nick has spoken candidly about their sex life, their problems, and about her and the children. He spoke about leaving Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls for Mariah and sleeping with Kim Kardashian. He even uses her for material for his jokes. I think she hates that and I don't blame her. He's tarnished America's sweetheart. I think he's to blame for the disconnect between her and her fans and the general public. Think K-Fed and Britney.

Mariah (45,589) by B from USA
Mariah never said that about the starving kids. Do you really think Tommy and her team would have allowed that. Get real. Katy is a joke, I'm over it. Mariah looks amazing, she lost the weight. She chose the perfect event to show off her hard work and honor a friend at the same time.

Katy (45,527) by B from USA
Katy Perry is jealous of MC. She wishes she could sing like Mariah. She probably also wishes she could write songs without the help of Max Martin the mastero behind most of Britney's hits. I stick by my original statement when I first heard she was planning on mocking Mariah in a music video she's a poor man's Britney. What a joke.
