About Tyler from USA:

If you were a star would you.... (102,579) by Tyler from USA
I'm sorry her but most successful and respected years has to be the TEOM era. No one does what she did after 15 years in the industry and being blacklisted.

Nick Cannon "co-writter/producer" (102,258) by Tyler from USA
Nick Cannon has commented on multiple blogs under the MC and Kim video that he co-wrote and co-produced "It's a Wrap". While it's super thirsty of him to try to get attention from the moment I fully believe him. I always thought he was heavily involved in that project because of the comical one liners similar to those on a Wild N Out episode. MC would have never wrote "It's going down like the denominator" or reference Maury. Plus UOMF and the Harvard school line. I love that album for the clever puns and get the sense he helped with Obsessed, MTF, Impossible and maybe even more.

Beyonce lipping (102,119) by Tyler from USA
I tend to disagree. Lead The Way is my all time favorite ballad that I'm confident she would never sing 100% live. I am though 100% grateful she did at some point and I will that recording until the day I die.

Beyonce lipping (102,112) by Tyler from USA
I just saw a few clips from the Beyonce show and she pretty much lipped the same amount as MC. All of the harder runs and notes were completely pre-records. I was surprised given that fact this was a very low choreography driven show. I'm not saying this to put another artist down to make Mariah look better but the fact there's very few artist doing 100% live shows. I think the days of 100% vocally driven concert of the 90's are gone for most artist not just MC. All we need is Beyonce's audio guy to help blend the vocals and more practicing on Mariah's part.

Upcoming appearances (101,702) by Tyler from USA
I live less then 2 miles from MC's apartment and looking to potentially get a sighting before she leaves for an appearance. I once heard there was a twitter account ran by a fan that updates these things. Is anyone aware of this? Always wondered how fans outside her apartment knew of the specific timing ect. Side note: I promise I'm aware I sound like a complete stalker but promise I'm not.

Global Citizen (101,280) by Tyler from USA
I'm very excited to see Mimi perform but I wanted to see if anyone knew how long her set will be. I'm not confident she's the main act as her name is roughly fourth from the top. Living in NYC makes me really want to attend but paying $250 for a 25 minute set consisting of Hero, ABMB and the other go to songs makes it hard to commit.

Re: Why I want another #1 (100,331) (100,333) by Tyler from USA
I think Mariah herself is the reason as to why she may not have been respected like her peers. I think the over the top diva persona that was persistent for so many years cheapened her brand. The hardcore fans and music lovers understand how incredibly talented she is but for so long the antics over powered her talent. That said, I think her quirkiness, personality and sense of humor is one the reason she's probably the most relevant of all the 90's singers.

When do the bells ring (100,273) by Tyler from USA
I'm a huge fan of Jazz and have been playing WDTBR with Tony Bennett non stop lately. Such a great song and slowly becoming one of my all-time favorite collab. MC's voice was in such great shape during her pregnancy. This also goes for MC2IIYou as vocally this is the best she sounded post Glitter IMO. Her whisper voice sounds so strong and not as nasality as it does sometimes now. Really hoping there's some hidden songs from this era that end up on "Rarities 2".

Promotion (98,153) by Tyler from USA
I think the song is ok but definitely not a comeback single. I also think it's a bit strange MC hasn't posted anything about it on her page. She even posted about her "cookies" the other day. It's also no where to be found on her Spotify page. On top of that she's list as the "featured" artist. I think it's very clear MC isn't a fan of the song and doesn't want it to be associated as a Mariah single. She is aware she only has one chance to get it right and this isn't it nor an appropriate representation of her new music. I think JJ/TL approached her about their album and she committed as she's a fan of their work.

The Meaning of Mariah - first week sales (95,702) by Tyler from USA
I've followed Mariah's first week sales ever since I was a lamb back in 96. That said, I have no idea what we should expect for first week book sales. I've read that Jessica Simpson sold 500k since it's original release earlier this year. I remember she did a huge promotional push pretty similar to an album release. I realized with Covid things are different but very interesting to see little promotion planned for this book. The only ones that are aware the book is coming out are fans. Also, there aren't any leaks which is great but odd. It's released in less then a week and we have no content around the Jeter or Nick Cannon stories. Typically leak stories adds hype to a book release. That said, I wonder if Mariah is even concerned with topping the book charts.

Mariah's finally at peace (95,663) by Tyler from USA
I believe writing the memoir has resulted in Mariah finally being at peace with her current voice which has allowed her to appreciate her previous work. For years I think Mariah has downplayed her previous records because she knew she could never replicate. Over the last two years Mariah has released vocal recordings such as the St John concert and soon to be Tokyo Dome. She never would have done this previously as it drastically shows the differences in her voice over the years. It's great to finally see Mariah appreciating her peaks and not feeling intimated if she doesn't sound the same. Sounds weird but I actually think Mariah is finally a lamb of younger Mariah. We don't get sad when we watch old Michael Jordan clips. We realize there will never be anyone like him but understand things change and we get older. That said, based off Caution MC still has so much to share with us.

4th of July (94,488) by Tyler from USA
This song has not only become my favorite song from Butterfly but it's now in my top 3 all time favorite Mariah songs. This song is pure perfection from the poetic lyrics, production, and immaculate layering of the background vocals. Personally, I feel this is the best use in song of Mimi's whisper register and the transition into full voice during the bridge is outstanding. While Underneath the Stars was great, it doesn't have the same effect as 4th of July. While I hate comparing songs, UTS lacks the sensuality and feels like an adolescent version of 4th. Anyways, shout out to a song I love not only this time of the year.

Best era for Superbowl (92,721) by Tyler from USA
Mimi recently told Andy Cohen the Halftime Show would be too stressful, which I agree. The way her nerves get to her after the tree lighting and New Years it would be a deer in headlights moment. I then start to think which previous era should she had headline. I came to the conclusion that TEOM was a missed opportunity. At that point she had the catalog to do it and her stage presence was at its peak. With the dancing and liveliness of the set, Adventures of Mimi was her most entertaining concert. Butterfly and E=M2 were close runner ups. While daydream was her vocal peak, I think the show would of been boring as hell. Thoughts?

Finally at peace (91,933) by Tyler from USA
I think Mimi's recent acceptance of younger emerging artist(s) is a showcase of her being at peace with herself. She no longer feels
the need to compete and realizes she has nothing to prove. Her insecurities got the best of her in the past which resulted in her being shady to younger artist(s). To her defense, it's also the media fault for constantly framing artist as "the new Mariah". I think her being at peace is also evident in the reduction of playback in her recent concerts as well as embracing those 90 vocal moments. I always compare her to Michael Jordan. We do not shame him because he can't dunk like he did in his 20's but we look back in awe for what he accomplished in his prime. I honestly think she withhold the St John and Tokyo performances for so long as she didn't want to be compared to the vocal performances of the 90's. I think subconsciously she wanted to forget they ever excited as they are impossible to live up to. I am falling in love with her all over and so excited for her next album. With realizing there's nothing to prove, I am confident she will he taking more chances musically. Caution is just the beginning. Side note I am thrilled I can finally like Ariana publicly now that the war is over.

Edward, "I try to make myself believe she wasn't taking her meds when she made those comments." This is exactly why I haven't been to this board in months.

Re: Daydream (88,889) (88,900) by Tyler from USA
While Daydream is a great album (not best) I never understood why people categorize it as her most vocally impressive album. The stand out vocal track on that album is Forever, in which shes' mostly holding long notes. In my opinion, Music Box, Emotions and Butterfly had more stand out vocal tracks. Heck even Glitter.

Re: Mariah sales (86,485) (86,487) by Tyler from USA
I agree as you can't compare MC sales to Cher and Janet. Mimi's image is in recovery mode from NYE and the diva attitude that turned so many away. Over 45k in pure sales is actually pretty good and solely reflects her fan base. Winning back her fan base is critical if she's ever going to have a comeback. Streaming typically reflect the general publics interest (which is why it's only 7k). Caution is basically Charmbracelet, but ten times better. Hopefully, this is a prelude to her TEOM (the follow up album).

Promo with SNL (86,315) by Tyler from USA
I'll start by saying I am extremely pleased with MC's team and promotion this era. Everything from the shows, her outfits, interviews and performances are close to near perfection. The only thing I wish were added was hosting and performing on SNL. She is coming a cross extremely likable, relatable and humble. Her sense of humor is really showing with the dialing back of the divaness. I think SNL would of been an excellent platform to show her sense of humor and to jokingly make fun of herself. I could see so many of the skits going viral. Can you imagine a GTFO skit? Roc Nation needs to make this happen.

Re: A No No No (85,563) (85,567) by Tyler from USA
I wanted to push off listening to the song until the album came but cave in. I'm obsessed with this song. I don't think they intended to officially release the track but it leaked. My favorite part is the "I said no" chant at the end. I just picture MC having a diva tantrum. I am pretty sure that's where it came up with or punishing Roc for ordering another dog.

Re: With You, AMA's (84,654) (84,685) by Tyler from USA
I never thought I'd see the day when the press/media is praising MC and the fans are ripping her apart. Major publications such as Rolling Stones are raving about the performance as well as general public. I'm at lost for words.

A bit disgusted (84,399) by Tyler from USA
I wasn't going to say anything but some of these comments are disgusting. I'm not a fan of this as a lead single but bringing up alcoholism, being bi-polar, corrupted by fame, addiction as the source is disgusting and pathetic. Also, this outrageous idea of how Tommy pushed her musically and painting him as this savior is ridiculous. Her music from 1990-1996 all sounded the same and he would of made sure she didn't escape from that formula. Do you realize she finally grew as an artist after leaving him? Lastly, Roc Nation and Epic both approved the song. I'm pretty sure they told her we need a WBT classic Mariah record to regain the public interest for this re-introduction. As a new client of Roc Nation they aren't going to take any chances. Wait until the full album before the hatred tantrums.

Whisper effect (83,749) by Tyler from USA
I am completely obsessed with this song. Sometimes the whisper registers turns me off but it works so well with this song. It has an haunting effect and really conveys the emotion. I think we were all expecting her to belt the last 30 seconds but it never happens. I think this is why its so repeatable and addicting. Also belting the F word would of been too much for my taste. I wonder if they send an edited version to radio or wait for the official single. Anyways Mimi great job.

Pre-releasing tracks (83,376) by Tyler from USA
It seems like the trend is for artist to release 3-4 tracks before the album is released. Artist such as Tamia, Ariana, Christina have all done this. While this may add anticipation to the record's release, I really hope MC doesn't follow the trend. I want to listen to the record as a body of work not a album of full singles. I remember not listening to the leak tracks when TEOM was released for this purpose. I really feel as if MC's going to tell a story with this album ranging from her honestly being bi-polar, losing love (James) and finally being in a great place. I can be patient and do without the multiple lead singles. Bring on this album.

Stella (old team) - bi-polar announcement (81,754) by Tyler from USA
I never wanted to mention her name again but I am confident Stella and the old team were going to use the whole bi-polar thing as blackmail. Stella and her family were around her 24/7 and I am sure they had pictures of medication, videos or other things they were going to use. I can only imagine the burden of waking up each day not knowing if today was the day you were going to be exposed. This is so freeing on so many levels. The line in IWYW "But you can't manipulate me like before" has a whole new meaning. Sidenote - I wonder if James Packer going into a mental facility had anything to do with Mariah coming out around the issue. He may have given her the courage to do so.
