You're joking, right? At this point it's not only about the key, but about the fact that her fluidity and buttery tone are basically gone. She could try, but it would turn into another one of choppy her versions of "Hero", but the 2023 version.
I think this is the time for her start training her voice again, there are many great vocal coaches out there that would get her voice in decent shape, but that would take work. It's like going to the gym, you don't shed those extra pounds or put on some muscle if you don't move your ass. |

| I just wish IAW could get the same radio response after all of these years as Chris Brown's Under The Influence has done from a TikTok dance video. Under The Influence is now a Top 20 Urban Hit after all of these years because of Urban radio. However, Urban radio won't do the same thing for MC because radio programmers lost interest for MC after E=MC2. It's true because she hasn't had a Urban hit since TMB. Plus, Brezzy is just hot right now because he just writes some hot Urban songs. I smell a Brezzy and MC duet this year. I know that I am going to get some backlash for thinking about that collaboration. |

| I think it was because of the lack of consistency with MC's sound from 1990-1997. She started out with a pop debut album in 1990. Emotions had more of a R&B sound. Music Box went back to a pop sound. Daydream was totally a R&B album. Butterfly moved MC more into the hip hop R&B world. Do you see how the Grammys committee would be confused about MC's sound and direction? |

One of the reasons I think Mariah lost so many "vocal performance" awards at the Grammys is the fact that most of her earlier recordings were "polished" so to speak, done in multiple takes and the best parts being used, giving her this flawless studio recording every time, especially the first half of the 90's. Yes she was always nominated (at some point Mariah was the most nominated female artist at the Grammys and most were for vocal performance) but she always lost to other females that one could hear most likely did those songs in one take. From the first album, [only] "Vision of Love" is sung in one take (the 2nd Mariah doing all that insane ad-libbing) and what do you know? She won for Pop Vocal  and then again with "We Belong Together" another one take song, won best R&B vocal performance. So I do think the Grammys acknowledge singers who don't gloss their vocals. Just a thought. What do you guys think?  |

This was a song she wrote for some boy in 2005 if I recall correctly, I never listened to his version but from the little clips I heard from the Oprah show, he [sang] it exactly like she does on her own version, which by the way I was over the moon when she finally released it on "The Rarities". This brings up the issue of the demos for "Butterfly" and the Allure songs. I find it very hard to believe those songs don't have her own version. Mariah you need to check that magic vault very well. Lol. My life will be complete if I hear her sing "Last Chance", "Head Over Heels" and "Where are You Christmas" from that era, [it] is very important for me, that "Butterfly" period was when I became a die hard fan and that version of Mariah.  |

| I have always thought the same thing about how the breakdown of Mariah's and Nick's marriage affected her. Imagine writing a song like Love Story that came to fruition and looking so in love in the video. Then four years later being so devastated and hurt about the breakdown of your marriage, you succumb to writing Camouflage, Cry, and Faded. So sad. |

| Almost 10 years from release, I now fully understood what impact their relationship brought to Mariah. It's a very sad and painful song. Maybe the hurt that she got from it is so debilitating that it also broke her instrument. Prior 2014 she sounds good, fluid and powerful. Fast forward to 2014, an abrupt change in her attitude and vocals happened. What a sad love story is. I really think their relationship damaged her in a very devastating psychological manner as she is really different on her interviews 2014 onwards vs 2013 below. |

Yes I agree. I wish Mariah would do more songs for movies. Below are the songs that she did for movies, or originally supposed to do:
1. Hero - originally for "Hero" film starring Andy Garcia
2. When You Believe - for The Prince of Egypt
3. Glitter album - for that Glitter film
4. 100% - originally for Precious film
5. Mesmerized - originally for The Paperboy film
6. Almost Home - for Oz The Great and Powerful
7. In The Mixed - for that tv show Mixed-Ish
8. The Star - for The Star film
I wish that in 1999 (Rainbow era) Mariah would be chosen and perfect for Bond girl for that James Bond movie, The World Is Not Enough, replacing Denise Richards for Dr Christmas Jones (Christmas? hello Mariah is perfect for that character name heheh) and singing the soundtrack "After Tonight" for the theme song for that movie. The Latin R&B ballad with the touch of Spanish guitar would be sexy for James Bond song in the 90's. |

| Rainbow's 25th anniversary will be in 2024. I tweeted MC and Sony Legacy today for vinyl boxset to celebrate its release. I didn't realize that the album has only sold 3 million copies so far. Our chances of seeing any type of anniversary release is problem slim to zero because of no extra tracks. But I would love to see a pride version with Frank Ocean (How Much), Lil Nas X (Did I Do That?), Sam Smith (Crybaby), Billy Porter (TGIFY), and Daley (Can't Take That Away). Only time will tell. |

Walter A seems to be in desperate need of a spotlight on his career. Why does the man insist on being a massive tool when it comes to AIWFC? He's credited and receives half the royalties every year. Get your degree and go write another hit if you're so pressed. Geez. Laugh your way to the bank and give it a rest already. It's giving bitter, girl.
And who's this Chan lady still going on about the QOC shizz? Wasn't the case thrown out or something? People will remember Mariah losing the fight for the TM before they'll ever remember her. And that's no shade to her career - she obviously has one. Maybe someday someone will know her outside of being referenced to Mariah. We love everybody.
