About Robert-Anthony from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Tony Moran (106,808) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I just realized that Tony Moran of The Latin Rascals (Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood) remixed DFAU. I wonder what made MC commission him to do the remix for DFAU. DFAU is MC's only official double vinyl white cover 12 inch.

According Wikipedia, his remixography is impressive. He and Albert Cabrera remixed Duran Duran's Notorious too. It's funny that I am mentioning Tony Moran because I have been on a nonstop mission this summer to visit all of my 12 inch dance vinyl records lately thanks to the Portrait (Hopeful Child Remix). CeCe Peniston's and ABC's dance remixes were hot back in day. Anyway, longer dance remixes make my workouts more enjoyable. Lol. I am rambling now. Bye.

Impressive debut (106,802) by Robert-Anthony from United States
This article demonstrates that Tommy had to defend MC because when he discovered her he knew MC's talent was going to be in the same league as [Barbra] Streisand and Whitney Houston. His tone in the article is that of a renowned manager and recording company president who saw MC during the Crustella era in [desperate] need of a new manager and team. We can't deny he knew how to make MC into a platinum selling recording artist from the beginning. His expertise to guide and launch her debut album and assemble the best team players made Mariah Carey the album an impressive debut. A debut album like Mariah Carey has never happened since 1990. No other female artist since 1990 has ever had a debut album like Mariah Carey. Despite how MC feels about Tommy Mottola and his treatment of her, I wonder does MC think about how impressive her debut was? She really never talks anymore about her debut era or Ben Marguiles.

#1 Relevance, new album (106,798) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Randy, MC16 is going to determine if MC will continue to record albums or just have Vegas residences and Christmas shows for the rest of her singing career. It will be interesting to see how everything rolls out after the album announcement.

Rap features (106,797) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Do you think MC is done with having rappers on her albums? I don't know how she could be taken seriously on her next album with rap features at 55 years old. Duets and vocal features is the way she should go for MC16. If she goes with some rap features, critics are not going to find it a step in the right direction at her age.

The Boy Is Mine 2.0 (106,791) by Robert-Anthony from United States
"Processing in their voices" is what Max Martin is known for doing when he produces an artist's vocals. It is the Max Martin effect that he does give the song that electronic or trance feel?

She has been practicing lip synching (106,790) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC's funniest lip sync moment is when the Touch My Body backing track failed on GMA and MC sang to Trey, MaryAnn, and Sharlotte - "Stop singing my rhymes now baby." MC was hot that the backing track failed on a live televised program. She played it off after the preformance by saying, "I have to bring something new to the moment every time."

Spring or fall album release preference (106,789) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Yes. MC has always collaborated with the hottest producers at the moment since TEOM like The Neptunes, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Mike Will Made It, Hit-Boy, and Scott Storch. I am saying if she wants to upgrade her signature sound, then MC is going to have to collaborate with other producers and songwriters who are not necessarily the hottest producer at the moment. I think the days of hottest producer at moment ended with Darryl DJ Camper's and Diplo's reign five years ago. I am going to go ahead and make a prediction for MC16. MC16 will be nominated for eight Grammy awards in 2025 or 2026. MC will finally receive recognition from the Grammys after 30 years in music business.

Praying for the album (106,774) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC's Las Vegas shows start again July 26th [through] August 1st. She probably won't do a lot of recording next month.

Well, Ariana chose Brandy and Monica for The Boy Is Mine remix. It makes sense.

Thank God I Found You (original) (106,767) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I have been listening to TGIFY a lot lately too. Also, I finally listened to Xscape's One of Those Love Songs this week. I still don't understand why Warryn Campbell filed a copyright infringement lawsuit. I don't see the similarity at all.

Remastered Rainbow album (106,764) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Terna, this is great news. I am really concerned that we won't experience the same sound quality when the remastered audio is transferred to picture disc. I am just not a fan of colored vinyl. Black vinyl produces the best sound. I hope a CD version will be available this fall even though it has not been announced yet. I know Sony wants to capitalize on those picture disc preorders before making a CD announcement. Does anyone know of an online music retailer who will allow you to create a CD online?

Praying for the album (106,760) by Robert-Anthony from United States
If a long time between albums happened in the 90s, I wonder what would be MC's response for the long wait. MC would probably say that she wants to record more songs to sequence the album perfectly or correct some vocal moments. Being the perfectionist that she is, it has to be really hard for her in 2024. She has to have at least 50 songs recorded by now. Right?

Thank you, Libra. You all are truly my family. This board has been my outlet to truly be myself. I think I have been a posting member for 21 years and reader for 25 years. It has really been fun along way. I know my predictions were a little crazy anticipating the MIAM era. Lol. I love you all.

Tiny Desk (106,745) by Robert-Anthony from United States
If her latest Instagram post is any indication of what she can do now without any studio tricks, then I believe she would crush a Tiny Desk concert this year. How does NPR commission artists to do a Tiny Desk concert?

Spring or fall album release preference (106,730) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Bruno Mars is on the table too. I think MC has finally realized that she is going to have to step out of her comfort zone and collaborate with new producers. I am all for an album with songs with from Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak, Rai Khalil, and Solange. Her recording time period for this album is going to be her longest time yet from 2021-2025.

Spring or fall album release preference (106,728) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I was just thinking today that MC's album releases in the spring tend to do better for strong first week sales and promotion is executed 100% for maximum sales. I am hoping the new album is given like an April 2025 release date. She is probably has something planned for the 30th anniversary for Merry Christmas like an anniversary editon and Christmas shows. January-March 2025 would give her time to release the first single and promote it properly.

Anderson Paak (106,718) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Maybe because of these pictures, a faithful and inquisitive Lamb can only assume Anderson Paak was the producer she was talking about in the Vogue article. She gives him away by saying "Y'all wouldn't believe the week I've had." You know all about Anderson Paak's and Bruno Mars' R&B throwback group Silk Sonic. I liked that she is stepping out of her comfort zone by leaning less on the hip hop genre and more on the R&B and dance genre. Could working with Anderson Paak and Rae Khalil help MC craft a brilliant album? 2024 is definitely giving the Lambs good vibes about her voice, MC16, creativity in the studio and her overall happiness than in 2023. This is Rae Khalil.

Vogue World interview (106,717) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC has spoken like this since "I Don't Know Her" and Tommy did her so wrong. One thing we can say about MC is that she is not going to talk negatively about a person or situation unless you gotten on her bad list. I agree with you that the Lauryn Hill situation may have been a label issue or who knows with Ms. Hill. She has had some difficulty showing up on time or being true to her commitments in the past. Anyone noticed in the Vogue interview MC answered in way to make the interviewer think that the two actually recorded Save The Day in the studio together? We all know that Lauryn's vocals are a sample from The Fugees' song Killing Me Softly.

Joe's Wikipedia page under his career section: Rise to Stardom 2000-2007. Sometimes Wikipedia is my only source for quick answers without typing in Google a specific question for more narrowed search results. I do get actually old interview results if I type YouTube behind my search topic.

Rainbow 25 (106,710) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Right. She sang the 2nd verse in such a lazy way to me than the first verse. Something is just off with her second verse. Anybody notice that 98 Degrees background are very prevalent and extra loud on the solo version than the album version? I think all three harmonized together on the album version.
