About Stacey from USA: Been a fan since 1993. Favorite albums include Daydream, TEOM, and Music Box. I love a good discussion, but won't stand for hateful comments because we disagree. I am too old to deal with drama and so are you. Keep it real with me and we'll have some fun. Peace.

Re: The Marammys (92,569) (92,589) by Stacey from USA
Mariah is the queen of remixes, lol. It seemed appropriate. I remember hearing ABMB remix for the first time. My sister bought the CD single for my birthday. I had no clue about Mariah's remixes. It was like opening up a whole new world. Then add hearing unreleased songs like Slipping Away? Mind blown.

Re: Songwriter Hall of Fame (92,375) (92,380) by Stacey from USA
Agreed. Read about this earlier this morning. I kept thinking, "About dang time." To write music and have a few hits here and there is pretty cool. To write all your hits and have 19 of them go hit #1, countless top 10 songs/albums on top of that is amazing. Long overdue award, but glad she is finally being officially recognized. And I agree, this means more to her than the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame.

Bill for the win.

Re: Roger Friedman (92,039) (92,045) by Stacey from USA
Funny thing is he can't get the date right. What a loser. AIWFCIY was released in 1994. What an idiot. Consider the source and ignore it. This is a huge deal for Mariah. Even my sister who isn't a fan, texted me and told me the news.

Re: Signature song (92,015) (92,020) by Stacey from USA
Agreed. Daydream changed music in general forever. Fantasy remix anyone? I hope Daydream gets the same 25th anniversary treatment like Merry Christmas did. People need to be reminded just how monumental that album is.

Re: Signature song (91,996) (92,007) by Stacey from USA
Her PR team was on fire. The rollout of all the extra treats you mentioned starting on November 1st with the deluxe album release was perfect. AIWFCIY is universal. It unites all people no matter your faith, culture, etc.

Re: Signature song (91,991) (92,006) by Stacey from USA
During Christmas, of course, AIWFCIY is played a ton when radio stations play all Christmas music. On December 26th through all of next year until radio stations play all Christmas again, the Mariah song I hear is ABMB. Heard it the other day. Never fails to lighten my day. Such a timeless song.

Re: Tommy and Thalia congratulate Mariah (91,826) (91,845) by Stacey from USA
Exactly. Some here seem to think if you give Tommy or Walter credit that somehow you're dissing Mariah at the same time. Nonsense.

Re: AIWFCIY video 2019 edition (91,809) (91,820) by Stacey from USA
Exactly. Her team was on fire this Christmas season.

Re: Tommy and Thalia congratulate Mariah (91,806) (91,819) by Stacey from USA
Well, when Mariah mentions in the Amazon mini-doc about the "record company" coming to her about a Christmas album, it was really Tommy who pushed for the idea. So I don't think it has anything to do with a man needing to assert himself or whatever. Geez. It was his idea after all to do a Christmas album. I'm no Tommy fan with how he treated her. But I am a person who gives credit where credit is due.

Jaw dropping #1 (91,688) by Stacey from USA
I saw the headline and my jaw dropped. I kept checking Billboard's website all morning long. If ever there was a song that deserved this honor it's AIWFCIY. To have a song 25 years old achieve this feat is just amazing. Ahhh, there are no words to express how happy I am for this song, for MC. Props to Rock Nation and all of Mariah's PR team. This song belongs in the same league as all the other all-time classics.

Re: Amazon music doc (Stacy) (91,619) (91,627) by Stacey from USA
Make love not war I always say, lol. In all due seriousness, I just love what her team is doing to celebrate her Christmas album. I hope other albums get the same treatment.

Re: Amazon music doc (91,599) (91,610) by Stacey from USA
Agree with you on this year's Christmas promotion. From all the footage being released to this mini-doc from Amazon, Mariah's PR team is on fire. I only hope this kind of theme of releasing rare videos, performances, etc continues when Daydream hits 25 years and so on.

Re: December 26th AIWFCIY lamb streaming party (91,541) (91,544) by Stacey from USA
In my neighborhood in the USA, I have a radio station that plays all Christmas music. I swear AIWFCIY was played every hour, lol. No complaints from me, lol.

Grammys, who cares? (91,414) by Stacey from USA
Are we really surprised she was shut out? Daydream was denied, having the top single of the year (OSD). Fantasy debuts at #1. Then comes along TOEM ten years later, and she has the top single again (WBT), #1 selling album of 2005, and is denied again. Oh sure she won three awards in the R&B categories, but ones that weren't even televised. This after a much publicized breakdown, subpar sales of Charmbracelet, many counted MC out. She came back with a bang. And now she has the chance to get another #1 hit 25 years after its release. MC is pure talent. But she doesn't play the game to get the nods, doesn't play politics to get the nominations. Who cares about the Grammys? Her numbers and accomplishments (see Billboard's article) don't lie. Now let's get AIWFCIY to #1.

Re: Hark. The Hearld Angels Sing live video (91,355) (91,365) by Stacey from USA
I don't know about that. Her Hallmark concert has been on Netflix continually since it first aired.

Re: Rainbow at 20 (91,276) (91,279) by Stacey from USA
Rainbow isn't a favorite album of mine. But like any album that doesn't grab me as a whole, there are always songs she wrote that make me glad she released it. Heartbreaker is pure gold. CTTA wasn't a favorite until I attended the final night of her CB tour in Southern California. I was going through some stuff and that song just resonated with me and has remained a favorite ever since. The remix edit with David Morales is great. I like After Tonight. Typical ballad, nothing special, but still on my playlist. Petals is just sad. Man, this girl has gone through a lot and is still standing. Anyways, Carey on.

Re: St John the Divine (91,274) (91,278) by Stacey from USA
Of course I'm right. You think I've survived this long by being stupid, lol. I've hesitated to say anything. I love the concert. I love how raw it is. I love that we have it after 25 years of wondering. Is it perfect? No. Are there better performances of the song AIWFCIY out there? Yes. (See her duet with Michael Buble. Probably my all-time favorite live performance of that song.) All that is irrelevant. I'm a "do what feels right" kind of girl. If you love the CD, great. If you wished for more, great. The thing is there is a lot of good press going on right now. Let's build on it and get AIWFCIY where is belongs: #1.

Re: St John the Divine (91,269) (91,273) by Stacey from USA
At age 42, it never ceases to amaze me what people will write behind the safety of a computer screen to people they have never met and probably never will. Stop all this unnecessary infighting and let's focus on getting AIWFCIY to number one. Focus people.

Re: Daydream (90,984) (90,986) by Stacey from USA
Daydream. My favorite. I mean, my avatar says it all, lol. Well said, so much so that I can't add another word to your thoughts. I feel the same way about that time during the mid 1990s too.
