I know inspiration doesn't always flow all the time for artists but I would be happy with an album of covers. A concept album of really good songs from the past that fit her current voice. She always makes the songs she covers her own and puts so much emotion into them. I'd like to hear more in her lower range too.
For this, I wouldn't even want huge publicity around it. It could be an album (or albums) she releases quietly. I know I'm greedy in regards of Mariah but I can't help it. She's already given us so much, but I want more. I really liked My Prayer and think she could travel down that vein more.
My track list: Unforgettable - Nat King Cole It's Magic - Dinah Washington Stardust - Nat King Cole I Only Have Eyes for You - The Flamingos Just My Imagination - The Temptations Summertime - Ella Fitzgerald Life Is but a Dream - Dion Since I Don't Have You - The Skyliners Smoke Gets in Your Eyes - The Platters Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers The Impossible Dream - Roberta Flack
Bonus: not like the others, but I love them: The Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve Lover, You Should've Come Over - Jeff Buckley

I’ve never even heard "Old Town Road" or "Choosin' Texas". Not even once. Who is buying these records?

Remember when debuting at #1 on the Hot 100 actually felt like a huge accomplishment? Now Ariana has done it eight times. "One Sweet Day" held the record for 23 years, 4 months and 13 days. It took Mariah 6 years and 5 months to reclaim it, and now, just 8 months and 19 days later, it's broken again. I don't know if you see the trend here. I wouldn't have minded if "Despacito", a worldwide phenomenon, or "A Bar Song (Tipsy)", which was absolutely everywhere in the US, had taken the record. But "Old Town Road" and "Choosin' Texas"? Nah. Sorry. I've always followed the charts, but this is getting so frustrating that I'm probably going to stop paying so much attention. At this point, some of it just doesn't make sense to me anymore.

I was hoping for a theater re-release and to be able to buy it on digital again. But with publicity around it.
