About Ms. Giselle from USA: Big fan of Mariah since 1901 :-).

Posts voting (41,796) by Ms. Giselle from USA
To the webmaster, could we do without the "voting" here. This to me is nothing but a popularity contest by having them. The same people who have come here for years get more up votes. While the newbies who just started to post get a lot of down votes even when a lot are praising Mariah in that post.

Bet Honors performance (41,745) by Ms. Giselle from USA
I really liked it a lot. I believe it was live/lipped in certain parts. I agree, she should throw in a lll ad libs (live parts) just to shut people up. Honestly though we fans are use to this, even going back to 2005/2006 she was singing/lipping in her performances too especailly the last note in WBT. With the invention of social media being so huge right now, it's allowed people to be so vocal in public then before. If this was 2005-06 we fans would be discussing this but non fans wouldn't. She looked amazing, Mariah should embrace her age. She looks darn good for being almost 44. I hope and pray I look that good at 44 lol. Because I will have my "cougar hair" lol and my breast out trying to bring the young boys to the yard.

Ariana Grande (41,637) by Ms. Giselle from USA
That "V Magazine" interview, she is so delusional. When I listen to that album all I hear is Daydream album no shade. Her producer even admitted they were going for '90's Mariah' sound. That's what makes me only like her about 75% out of 100. If she were honest and just admit that. Her and her people/label swagger jacked MC's sound/video image (90's era). I just can't with this girl, I think that's why MC doesn't and won't embrace her and the many before her. Beyonce, Christina A (post Genie), Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson, Delta Goodrem, Rihanna, Pink just a few singers who were influenced in some way by Mariah yet don't and didn't swagger jack her sound/style.

Cougar hair / JD appreciatio (41,613) by Ms. Giselle from USA
I never heard that before lol. I do know that when a woman ages, blonde does make you look older. To me, I was sick of her blonde hair a decade ago. The problem I have with Mariah, she never takes any chances. You're Mine is a great song, but it is forgettable and is safe. I know for a fact, because Bryan and JD said that she did a few uptempo songs. She needs to stop being so predictable and safe and take chances. I really wish she would hire me as her stylist and all around image consultant for everything. She badly needs a new look. That Ralphie interview was better, but I've noticed for a while now that when she talks, she doesn't make eye contact or keep the contact. She turns her head a lot and talks to the side. But I have to give it up for JD or Jermash (as MC calls him lol). She debuted at #88, the past few singles haven't except for #Beautiful. Also, she was able to debut internationally in some markets with zero promotion. So yay. JD, I hope they shoot a new video for the dance remixes and they are released soon. I also hope she goes internationally to really promote this album.

Nikki (41,367) by Ms. Giselle from USA
When I read your post all I could do was laugh lol. I didn't even realize that and now I get it but. Had Mariah and Trey scenes were together and they interacted together, I think we all would have gotten that. All we see is Mariah sitting in one spot hands over her breast. They should of shot scenes together. I know Trey couldn't go to P.R., but I wish they shot some scenes where how they meet and fell in love. Where Mariah got her "legs" and he left her and she poofs into gold dust lol.

You're Mine remix with Trey (41,363) by Ms. Giselle from USA
The record label should really push this version. I love this one better in my opinion. Maybe it's because I'm single now and I've wanted/liked Trey, but when he sings "stop that part"' mmm so sexy. He brought the sexiness to the record. I want to buy the video now. Lol. Just for Trey.

The shade (41,288) by Ms. Giselle from USA
I agree with those about Ariana. I admit, I did get her at first. I actually really do like her. I think she's a very nice girl. Her voice is totally different then Mariah's.Her "whistle" isn't good and she's even admitted that. I do think when she performs it's a tad bit Mariah. She's always said nice things about Mariah even to the point of putting MC up and lowering herself so to not compare. Mariah never has much to say about other female singers. She comes off as very insecure, even about AI. I actually believe Nicki, looking back Nicki is also a person who paid Mariah a lot of respect. She even mentioned "Someday", what non fan do you know who name drops that? None. I'm turned off by this behavior. She's acting like Lifetime tv version of a bad actress playing a over the top diva. She's always been a diva but she still was the down to earth, girl next door that everyone was rooting for. Something has changed, the world has changed. Nobody likes a diva. People want to feel like they connect with you and that your down to earth. That's why Adele is so popular.

Ian Hawkes (41,257) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Honey, Drunk In Love did have a storyline. Beyonce was being a drunk in love lol. Her and Jay were drinking and have fun being in love aka drunk in love lol. She let loose and did dance and have fun. That video (I'm not a fan of the song) but you got to admit the graphics and video is sexy for B. We don't expect Mariah to dance. The problem is her videos are all the same for a long time now. They all show how beautiful she is, usually her sitting/standing in one way, shot on the one side. Look at My All, that video was sexy and was part "vanity", but it still is a hot video. IBLYLT, HateU, Beautiful, YM(E) is MC's version of trapped in the closet. Lol.

Radio interviews (41,222) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Have any of you read what people are saying about them? It's horrible. I honestly don't think Mariah gets it nor hears about it. She needs to stop drinking. Sad truth is she doesn't do well anymore because of her diva ways/behavior than because of her music. Her music has always been good. The Duran interview, I actually liked what he said about AI but MC had a splash and couldn't answer it correctly. She was very similar to her drunk speech at the award show. I've been a fan over 20+ years, we all need to just enjoy the music and stop worrying about charts anymore. MC doesn't anymore so we shouldn't either. She has a drinking problem, I've said it many times.

Music video (41,196) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Yippie! Another "vanity" shot video. Last video we had that actually was good and went with the song was Obsessed. As for the song, I love it.

[...] (41,096) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Yes, that video she put out, I love it. She's unlike another "singer" who has to make a song about how she's the #1 diva in the game. But Mariah snatched wigs and was like, "Dahling, my accomplishments speak for themselves. That throne is still mine." I can't wait, MC Is the queen of subtle shade and I just got my life.

I had an altercation with Lynn. This was for a short while when they tried having a "messageboard". I happened to comment that I didn't like a certain single that she released. I got a nasty e-mail from her saying "How dare I come on a Mariah site and trash anything of Mariah." I did like MDJ, but that site was always for fanatics. That and another site, they get so mad when nobody worships everything she releases. MCA Is better, I wanna see good/bad news fair journalism lol.

Carlos / hair (40,808) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Oh my Carlos, that post was funny. Lol. On to the other big topic, Mariah needs an overhaul image makeover. She never left Long Island. That Sag Awards ensemble was her begging for a new stylist. Throughout her career, I had to look back because I had forgotten and wanted to just check/confirm. I was right, She's never been red carpet A++. I agree with the lamb down below who said he wants Mariah to do something "groovy" lol. I wish she had Blurred Lines beat first and wrote some amazing lyrics to it. I love her ballads but she hasn't given us something "funky" since "Fantasy". Oh and please, don't cover "You give good love".

Isaac Ortiz (40,646) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Hehe, I disagree with that. A lot of people always bring their A game on the red carpet. I'm about to spill some true T, Mariah has never looked good (style wise) on the red carpet. Yes her hair/makeup is always flawless and [...], her and Madonna are both a like. They try too hard to be "sexy". Once I would love it if she wore some thing couture, just at least once. With her money, there's no reason why she can't hire the best stylist. She needs someone younger and fresh who can let her be edgy but age appropriate sexy.

Cover song? (40,639) by Ms. Giselle from USA
I wonder if those rumors months ago was true, that she was going to cover a Whitney Houston song in memory of her dear friend. If true I would love if she did something unexpected and covered "Thinkin About You". I would just die lol.

Sag Awards (40,632) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Stylist please, look like she's going out to go clubbing. That dress is all kinds of wrong for an awards show, especially SAG. Music awards is yes, acting is no.

Splash lol. What's up with the waiting all weekend to post that? Then some fans stayed up all night and morning In some parts just to read that big ''pip announcement''. I can't even know what to say anymore.

AIWFCIY performance (40,123) by Ms. Giselle from USA
It wasn't that bad. It wasn't that great either. Someone mentioned her Rockefeller performance was bad. You my dear need your ears cleaned. Both performances were amazing. Even non die hard fans liked it. I believe the problem is, she performed earlier in the week, Now she performed again. Plus she's probably in the studio. her voice needs proper rest and she needs to really give up the bubbly. I know I say that a lot, but it's true. People don't realize wine etc isn't good on your voice. I also think she should do more of a Babs kind of route. She hardly ever does one off performances. I think the Rockefeller should have been enough for the season. Plus she did the Buble concert coming up. I don't get all these performances. If I were her, I take from today to summer/fall 2014 off. Rest up and do some soul searching. I love TAOLG, but marriage and kids should have had more of an effect on her writing. Why is she still singing about letting go of the "ex"?

My two cents (39,911) by Ms. Giselle from USA
I love TAOLG and I've enjoyed the other 3 songs and all the remixies. Mariah's been on AI, didn't go over at all on that show. Then back to back bad performances. We still never got a proper great performance for #Beautiful. I honestly think it was a mistake for her to release another song this year. I love Mariah, but she needs to take a break and let everyone miss her (which is weird because we haven't had a proper release since 2009). AI and bad performances really put a dent in it. It's to late now, considering if she does that, the press would have a field day. I don't understand why a artist of Mariah's caliber can't seem to find a great manager. Ever since Benny left it's been down hill since. Mariah and JD seem to think ''Mariah Carey'' name is going to sell for it self. Yeah in the 90's yes, but this is a whole new world. I think we should all just forget about the charts and successes, that time has passed. Just enjoy the music, the fact that Mariah is still very popular all these years later is incredible.

My previous post (39,860) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Thanks, to those that explained the "medicine" comment. I just wanted to clarify, I never would ever call me crazy. In fact nobody did. Like Stacy said, I remember those old VM messages too. We as fans were concerned. I wanted to address another post. Someone said American lambs are lazy, I disagree with that. People don't understand that Mariah's "diva" act has ruined her reputation to the average consumer. Google her name and go to news and read comments from people, they all think she's the out of touch diva who looks down on others which is not true. But this over the top diva image has hurt then did good. Oh and about the 14 million twitter followers, just ask Miley, Rihanna Ariana, Katy, JLo, do those "followers" mean anything? Look at their album sales. Enough said.

MC's Facebook letter / Fallon interview (39,824) by Ms. Giselle from USA
The interview was weird, I blame it for earlier, her "splash" she said it was cider. She should never drink before an interview. When she started to say she named her dog when she was on certain "medicine", I knew it had went so far to the left, I couldn't watch anymore. I felt so uncomfortable. Her letter is weird, The part that has me is the "sitting on the bathroom floor at 3am mad". Really? It's all just weird.

TAOLG (39,813) by Ms. Giselle from USA
I personally love the song. It's very mature and it brings me back to 1990-1992 Mariah, this would have fit right in with ''Emotions'' era. I hope Mariah looks at her old SNL performances of that era because TAOLG could use a performance like that this era. I really hope she doesn't spoil it with the video, all she needs is to do a great video with a storyline, no vanity this time and the sales will rocket up like WBT. I like that she did something unexpected and new. I've been wanting a throwback old school sounding song from her and we finally have it. I honestly don't care about sales/charts, I'd so rather her have huge success with a quality album from start to finish then #1 songs. I hope she does another unplugged type of thing this era on TV to promote it.

Cover (39,615) by Ms. Giselle from USA
The difference between others photoshopped pics [...]. Whoever picks the shots for covers needs to be fired. In the "Tommy years" those shots were decent and looked good. I think Tommy forbid that photoshop guy to stop working for her because it's been a mess since then lol. Another thing I'm tired of is that Mariah is so insecure. Stop with the left side videos/pics. [...] Please. Show a good example for Ms. Monroe. I'm tired of her always doing these/trying to do these sexy half naked poses. It's coming off as desperate/insecure now. You're a legend, you don't need to keep doing these things. This is why she's lost so many fans. Let's remind people what made you become a legend. [...] TEOM was a sexy era, but it was toned down. Let these younger girls who need to do this for attention do it. All Mariah got to do is [...] and remind people and show this younger generation who Mariah Carey is.

That made me laugh. Oh and for your information, I work as a nurse. You do know that when it comes to patients (especially rich ones), hospitals will lie/seal. Those patients' records, if they request it, they are not allowed to let any of the press know of anything.

The vocal trinity (39,367) by Rashidi (39,372) by Ms. Giselle from USA
You put WBT with those songs? It's one of her best but I don't see it as the holy grail of vocals. Whitney, Celine, Mariah have so many songs that could be but Mariah I'm going with, there's so many 'Emotions, Vision Of Love, Without You, Hero. I'm going with Vision Of Love, it inspired so many female singers, even male singers/rappers used it as inspiration.
