About Sarah from Netherlands:

Collection of thoughts (96,112) by Sarah from Netherlands
- I thought the Last Show at Sing Sing included Walter A at her kitchen table. Seems in line with how she writes about people with whom she at some point doesn't want to associate with anymore.
- About her not taking blame: we've always known this. Let's not pretend to be surprised. Down to the deviation from her "original notes and thoughts" for Glitter. That's just how movie production works.
- Divas moment: have yet to read this part, but from what I've read here this is also not news.
- Loverboy: she's stated on more than one occasion that she likes it better with the Candy sample. I do too.

OK, that was it (for now).

Would be a great show. But not for something that calls for high energy like the Superbowl Halftime Show.

Something I noticed on the Hot 100 (91,721) by Sarah from Netherlands
Not to be *that* person but Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree is also really gaining momentum. Currently at #3, up from #5 last week. Let's hope Mariah can hold onto #1. I'm seeing lots of positive articles from all popular websites.

Re: Millennials (91,632) (91,637) by Sarah from Netherlands
Millennials are adults under 40. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Let it go. Then comes Gen Z.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey congratulates Lil Nas X (90,485) (90,491) by Sarah from Netherlands
What are you even talking about? The remix rule got stricter over time. Mariah has made use of the possibility to create a whole new song but call it a remix to have it count towards the same track on the charts, but early 00s Billboard changed the rules saying remixes can’t be vastly different anymore. You can add an artist or a verse, but you can no longer change the beat and/or melody entirely. Sooooo that whole rule as an argument kinda fails here.

Besides, records are meant to be broken. She still has song of the decade two decades in a row. Relax.

Re: Cosmopolitan (90,251) (90,258) by Sarah from Netherlands
I just read the interview. She really doesn’t care anymore and I kind of admire her for it. Although there were definitely some judgmental, cringy comments made.

Re: Songs least liked (90,023) (90,030) by Sarah from Netherlands
Interesting, let me give it a try.
Mariah Carey - If I have to pick one, it'd be You Need Me. Production-wise only though. I can't stand that guitar. Vocally it's a gem.
Emotions - I can't decide. Don't make me choose.
Music Box - Now That I Know
Merry Christmas - Again vocally stunning, but I'd go with Jesus Born on this Day.
Daydream - The interlude-Daydream mix thing.
Butterfly - I love all of it tbh.
Rainbow - Maybe TGIFY, even though Joe is one my faves too. I love the Make it Last remix though.
Glitter - Want You. Expected more from a duet with Eric Benét.
Charmbracelet - Boy
TEOM - Your Girl
E=MC2 - Last Kiss. Second half of the album has a lot of similar sounding songs on it. Very nice, but not exciting.
MOAIA - Ribbon. Easily.
MIAMTEC - Heavenly
Caution - Probably Stay Long Love You.
OK, that was pretty difficult for some of these albums.

Enjoy. I wanted to go to Curaçao NSJ last year but was disappointed with the lineup. Can you imagine my shock when they announced Mariah? (And Maxwell.)

Re: A No No feat. Stefflon Don (88,357) (88,370) by Sarah from Netherlands
It’s not what we hoped for but everything featuring Stefflon Don is on constant rotation on Dutch urban radio so that’s good I guess.

Re: After the Caution tour (88,291) (88,297) by Sarah from Netherlands
That's just factually inaccurate. The experience may be different, but the quality is definitely not better. Have you tried watching a DVD on a 4K TV?

Re: R. Kelly (87,502) (87,508) by Sarah from Netherlands
Special K: Hey, I absolutely feel ya on that. When I Believe I Can Fly came out with the Space Jam soundtrack, Step in the Name of Love, the man's musical genius is undeniable. So it's understandable. That said, I do applaud you that in spite of that you no longer want to support him.

B: I know what it means. The problem with that is that with supporting his music/art you're putting money directly into his pocket that will allow him to continue doing what he's been doing. So if you're OK with doing that, nobody can stop you, of course.

Re: MC and judging R Kelly (87,494) (87,507) by Sarah from Netherlands
Well, you're right about the part where it's sort of scary that a television special can spark all this outrage. But the thing is: it didn't reveal a lot of new things from what I gather (haven't seen it). These things were always a public secret. Is he an anomaly? Good chance he's not. Does that mean we should let it slide and continue to celebrate him as the general public? See, I don't think so. I deleted all his music off my iPod years ago and will call other people out for supporting him. Same as I would for people who still support Weinstein, Woody Allen, Bill Cosby etc.

Re: R. Kelly (87,486) (87,487) by Sarah from Netherlands
There's a very big difference between MJ and R. Kelly and saying you "separate the man from his music" is just irresponsible. We have known for years about Kelly. People in Chicago have reported for years that he posted up outside of schools to prey on young girls. He forged papers to marry and rape an underage Aaliyah who was never able to talk about the situation later in life (look up Dame Dash's comments). People stood there and allowed this to happen all for another payday. And we, the public, knew this too. A video featuring the man and a 14 year old girl surfaces in 2003 and we're gonna pretend we didn't know and we're gonna keep lining his pockets? I'm so disappointed in humanity. Or the lack thereof.

Re: R. Kelly (87,470) (87,478) by Sarah from Netherlands
She posted a picture of them in what looked like a studio once. I was disappointed in her then for working with him and am now with her silence on the matter. Same with Ratner, Mayweather.

Re: GTFO (83,721) (83,725) by Sarah from Netherlands
I really like it. Wish she'd use her full voice more but oh well. Def not a live track though, as was mentioned earlier. But most radio tracks in this style/genre aren't.

JD hate (82,778) by Sarah from Netherlands
Everybody needs to stop hating on JD. You keep saying how you want her to work with new producers, then the album comes around and all the JD-produced tracks become fan favorites. Every time. Plus he's probably one of the few who can catch Mariah's authentic sound. It might not be what the radio wants, but that is what I want as a fan.

Re: Tickets (82,706) (82,718) by Sarah from Netherlands
Eventim is part of Mojo/LiveNation. Check who's organizing it, and get tickets there. The link will probably be up on Mariah's site. If not, go to the venue's website and click through there. Anywhere else will be ticket scalpers.
