Even JLo's 25th anniversary edition of the JLo album is packed with some never-heard-before versions of her songs, and I'm genuinely looking forward to Britney's 25th anniversary edition of her Britney album, which will include 5 previously unreleased songs from her vault. It again proves that good concept videos still work if they actually put effort on it. I really think a good Sugar Sweet video would have changed the trajectory of HFIA, but Mariah didn't push for it because the Shensea & Kehlani version is better than her original and she's probably not here for it. The frustrating part is that the song closest to overtaking it is still pretty far behind in overall points, so "Choosin' Texas" could possibly rack up another two or three weeks at #1. If that happens, even if "AIWFCIY" manages to score four more weeks at #1, it would only match it or beat it by one week. And that's assuming "AIWFCIY" doesn't start deflating by then. (Also, correct me if I'm wrong, was there a 2nd pressing in the last few years of all MC's albums on vinyl including Glitter? Around the time Glitter appeared back on Streaming?) Anyways - Virgin Records was really chicken sh** out by ending their relationship with Mariah in such a knee jerk way. I mean they still stood by Janet in 2004 and 2006 after the ridiculous Super Bowl insanity. Virgin panicked, and for the massive organization they were, they could have kept the ship sailing steady. Also, why did someone at Virgin even let Tommy hear Mariah's new music for Glitter? It should have been under lock and key ah-la Beyonce and Drake. There was obviously a rat in the mix (one of Tommy's spies) giving him the goods. Imagine Mariah hit us with the original plan of releasing Butterfly, then "All that Glitters" movie and soundtrack in 1999 as was intended? It's one of those sliding door moment of Mariah's like. I still don't understand why MC just didn't keep the Firecracker sample for Loverboy. She could have created a chart battle with J Lo with a in your face moment for Tommy. The Firecracker sample is barely recognizable in I'm Real. Also, what made MC choose Cameo's Candy as an alternate choice? Ja Rule even said Tommy heard If We and was so impressed by how good it was that he got Ja Rule on J.Lo's remix immediately and asked him to do a similar sort of thing. Consequently two of the best tracks on Glitter were done for. Loverboy had to be re-recorded and re-sang as we know, and any plans to release If We as a single later had to be shelved. It still delivers unforgettable ballads like: [Lead the way], [Never too far], Reflections. Some tracks were horrible. Especially [If we] and [Don't stop funking for Jamaica]. Also the [dj saved my life] was a bit boring. What in the world were MC and her staff thinking? She should have put the stunning [There for me] and [Out here on my own] in the album. At least we have them on the Rarities album now. Normally I like the Mariah's mid tempo or uptempo songs with [rap collabo's]. But not in this [soundtrack]. There's no magic formula for a #1 or everyone would have one. TTR had a huge marketing campaign. Mariah performed that song on every talk show, award show and mall atrium on Earth. The video was amazing. The vocal is amazing. It's a song that means a lot to me. If the general public didn't care, their loss. I hate hearing her down talk it down now. Why because it peaked at #81? Nothing on Charmbracelet was a great lead single imo. The way she and ya'll beat up Bye Bye irritated me also. She also performed that song at every talk show, late night show and backyard cookout in America. I thought it was a touching song and she killed that climax; it's one of her best. It's also a song many can relate to. Who knows if Migrate would've been a hit. The production quality of Migrate had always sounded muddled to me. Bye Bye peaking at 19 killed the album. And I'm sorry E=MC2 was chock full of singles. It's probably her most commercial album. None of the others did well. So ya'll make out Bye Bye to be Satan's theme. Caution wasn't gonna sell no matter what was released. Mariah is older and nothing on that album is undeniable. A No No is close. Maybe with Cardi on it it woulda done well. IWKWLI was after that type of ballad's popularity but her climax is wonderful. I like the production of the first verse too. My point is MC for the most part puts out quality product. Doesn't matter where it lands chart wise. And is anyone doing the Macarena (#1 for 15 weeks) or singing Old Town Road these days (#1 for 19 weeks)? (Wednesday 12 August 2026; 21:55)

I don't know why the public didn't take to it or it didn't get a Instagram or TikTok trend started. That said I love Caution and A No No. Caution falls off a cliff after the first four tracks. Even with that cliff, it's better than MIAMTEC. Mariah has 16 albums, she'd be hard pressed to mention them in every interview. She doesn't talk about Emotions, Rainbow, E=MC2 or Memoirs often.
