About Geezy from USA by way of NYC: I am 30 years old. I'm from the great big apple. I've been a fan of MC since the debut era. Oh yeah I love hot women!!!

Almost Home snippet (37,214) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Like Stacey, I am a fan of the full voice first and foremost, because that's what drew to MC in the very beginning. Don't get me wrong, the whisper and soft vocals work for some songs and I don't mind it when necessary, but the full voice gets me each and every time and this is what sets MC apart from the rest. So far I am in full amazement. I can't wait for the full song. Tuesday can't come fast enough for me. Bring it on home MC.

Tommy Mottola (37,051) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
I feel like Tommy has every right to tell his story, yes he was very influencial to Mariah during the first six years of her career. He was important to the business side of things and that was a major part of Mariah's early success, which has lead her to be part of the legend she is today. On the flip side of that, Mariah is responsible for her own talents as a singer-songwriter-producer. If she didn't have those gifts, there would have not been anything for Tommy to groom and bring to the limelight. So they were magic and beneficial to one another IMHO.

Australia concerts (37,036) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
First and foremost happy new year to the entire Archives family, I hope you had a nice holiday season and best wishes for 2013. I watched many of the clips from this mini tour of Australia and MC handled her business vocally, which only says that she can be her best friend or wrost enemy when it comes down to taking care of her instrument. Also her confidence has been restored, she seemed very relaxed and full of fire, which is very promising for this future era and tour. As I said before, it looks like we are in for something special and I can't wait. As for the setlist, she can't and won't please everyone, I'm just happy to see positive moments like these. Blessings to all.

The new album (36,992) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
As most if not all of the MCA community, I am excited as well. If Mariah can give us a mix of classic and current without it sounding too forced our girl should be just fine. Something tells me we are in for many surprises but good ones and I can't wait.

AIWFC on Fallon (36,900) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
I really enjoyed it, thank you for that festive moment Mariah, it was so needed. Nobody does Christmas like MC.

Rockerfella Center performances (36,880) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Like most if not all of us, I got a chance to check out Mariah's Rockerfella Center performances and I have to say I was filled with so much joy watching Mariah put an effort into performances which seem to lack lately. The voice was great, there was confidence and last but not least, what's the Christmas season without MC? It's just not possible.

Nicki (36,838) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
As family and a unit, can we all come together and not give this woman anymore shine on this messageboard. She's looking for attention for her flop album and its re release. We need to focus on our queen and not worry about all the other nonsense.

If anything (36,758) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
If anything in my honest opinion I feel Mariah and Tommy benefitted from one another in terms of their professional relationship. As she got the big break she always craved, also she found a form of stability and love. As for Tommy, he was still practically new in his CEO position at Sony, most of the acts on the label at the time where much older artists and Tommy had pressure on him to find an act or acts that he could guide and bring to superstar status and then walks MC with the help of BKS and the rest is history.

Can we please... (36,724) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Can we please stop comparing our queen Mariah to all these pop tarts of today. All the Rihanna, Gaga, Katy comparsions are very weak because all three of these artists are a total different breed from Mimi and come from a different cloth as far as artistry, videos, promotion ect. Let's respect these artists for who they are and what they represent to the music culture and let's respect our queen for what she has brought and is still bringing to the music culture whether we agree with it or not. In the words of our beloved queen, be nice or leave.

MCIIY (36,708) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Personally, if I had to pick a favorite song off the album, it would either "When Christmas comes" or "Christmas time in the air again".

Bring it on home (36,693) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
With this particular song Mariah once again shows she's still a force unto herself as a singer and songwriter. Her voice is giving me the much needed faith I have in Mariah. Songs like these make me a very proud fan and forever a loyal supporter. On another note, I appreciate the simple production and the old school Mariah vibe.

All I want is... (36,649) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
All I want is for Mariah to bring quality back to her craft as she did in my opinion with MCIIY. At this point she's made it to the history books she has nothing left to prove, all she needs to do is be consistent. Good songs, great lyrics and production and more importantly, great quality voice and performances.

Videos (36,616) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
I have to also agree with Stacey and Edward. Mariah's videos have left a lot to be desired as of late. We already got the I'm sexy look at me vibe for 15 years now, it's much expired now. We need growth with the music and the videos. If not, MC will only ruin her legacy she worked so hard to build and establish.

All I Want For Christmas (36,612) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
It's about that time of year again time to dust off the Christmas tunes and Mimi is on deck. All I Want For Christmas will be on blast once again. Did you guys know that Ceelo Green remade AIWFC for his upcoming holiday album? That goes to show how smart of a business woman Mariah really is. Those royalty checks must be awesome in the Carey-Cannon household during the holiday season.

Butterfly (36,554) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
While it is a wet and gloomy day here in NYC, I find myself bathing in a Mariah zone and right now the food feeding my soul is the Butterfly album. I have to say even Mimi followed a formula that was done before Butterfly was released she made it her very own and it worked wonderfully. From the different textures in her voice, the singing style, the writing and production along with personality and image this era and album were both a smash and more. This was truly a personal piece of art as well as a celebratory moment for us fans.

Memoirs (36,553) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
I have to agree with many of you, even though I have listened to this album on many occasions, it is very stale overall. Mariah's heart and soul was so far from that album and her singing and style of the album reflects that. I guess her personal issues at the time were more on her mind then actually recording. I think she went on with the writing and recording more for healing purposes.

MC/Dream (36,540) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Hopefully this time around we get a song or two with different production and not the same sound he has used since 07-08. I won't make judgments on an unfinished product. I just want our girl to pull everything together and I hope she shocks us in a good way with this new album. Also I have to agree Stacey, Mariah is at her best when she works with different producers on different things, because she can experiment with different sides of her instrument also. That was a major part of her great success over the years, stepping out of the box, but making it her own.

Desiree (36,529) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
I am one man who is outspoken as well, so an outspoken woman would never put fear in me or intimidate me. All I did was state as most people did my opinion based on your list. As I said before, I just found it odd you posted your top 12 favorite female singers and placed Mimi last on a messageboard that is strictly dedicated to her. But you added your reason and I totally respect it. No harm, no foul. I hope we can now move on from this subject once and for all, at least our issue anyway lol.

Desiree (36,509) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
As this messageboard for anyone post I find it pretty odd that on your list of favorite female singers you would post on your least favorites forum. As reading most of your recent post you sound like a fly by night fan, meaning when times are on a high you ride the wave and when times are tough you follow the rest of the world and kick Mimi's back in. Honestly, we as the MCA community don't need fans like yourself posting here. This is a forum for people who love and respect Mariah the artist for her great work and contributions to pop music and it's culture. We may not like all her choices, songs, ect, but at least we give her her just due and she reigns at the top of our list rather then the bottom.

I am in a very feel good mood today, because of Mariah and her Christmas albums. I'm so ready for the holidays. Damn you Mimi lol.

The Mariah vs Nicki discussion (36,443) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Everyone is going to have an opinion about who's right, who's wrong and who started it. As for me, I'm a bit over it. I'm still looking at the folks over at Idol with the side eye for the leaked footage. Secondly, even though our queen mavbe slightly over the top, that's apart of the image and anything else would be uncivilized. Honestly, Mariah is looking like a real winner here as she was out with her family yesterday enjoying family time. While Nicki her fans and washed up 90's female rapper Foxy Brown are still taking to twitter throwing shots. Smh, when does the madness end? Also when does a thirty year old rapper grow up and stop with the rainbow bright outfits and find an indentity and style of their own? Nicki's whole style is Lil Kim mid 90's and Weezy's current rap style. Also pay attention, big picture here Nicki is rereleasing her album because sales of her album are at less then 700k, even with all this publicity, so who's really losing?

On a positive note: (36,408) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Today is the 17th anniversary of one of the greatest pop records ever: Daydream. As for that situation, it seems like this is what the media wanted and that's what they got. Personally, money can buy a lot of things, but it can't buy class.

MC and R.Kelly (36,373) by Geezy from USA by way of NYC
Now we're talking two of the most successful singer-songwriters of the last two decades. I know these two can bring the heat, also they can challenge as well as bring the best out of eachother. I have to say R.Kelly's Love Letter (2010) was a great body of work that was very grown up and pure R&B. I hope these two working together inspires MC to take a similar approach with this new album where the music is on her level, but isn't dated in anyway. I hope this collaboration makes the final tracklisting.
