Mariah Carey "Daydream" gets first vinyl release

Sony is releasing the first official vinyl issue of Mariah Carey's 1995 breakthrough album Daydream on metallic gold vinyl exclusively via Vinyl Me, Please. Leaning into hip hop sonics that compliments her incomparable range and unbeatable vocal presence, Carey effortlessly skates from instant-classic "Fantasy" to the moving-to-the-core Boyz II Men duet "One Sweet Day" to the warm upbeat R&B of "Always Be My Baby".

No exact release date has been given, but it's expected to ship in early September. Vinyl Me, Please is pressing the metallic gold disc on 180-gram vinyl so the variation will not be available anywhere else. It's priced at $34.

Originally launched as a record of the month club, Vinyl Me, Please was designed to give customers a tangible and focused music experience. The service offered one record per month and was shipped alongside custom art prints and cocktail pairing recipes to encourage a full-sensory experience. Since then, the subscription-based company has grown in popularity with more than 30k members, three different subscription tracks, an online magazine, and an evolving online store that features more than 300 additional exclusive offerings. Vinyl Me, Please has quickly risen to become one of the largest vinyl retailers, thereby shifting the landscape of the modern music industry.

Today the company is focused on continuing to expand its reach and improving its core offering, while creating new and unique opportunities for members of its community to experience music more deeply.

It was actually originally released on vinyl in 1995 across Europe, albeit in very limited quantity. But alas, great to see it being given some love and special treatment.

Sometimes they are really able to tease me a lot to make me buy more copies. Anyway I keep strong I bought it when it was out and it is still in mint condition. But I must say that this color and 180gr is better than the orignal LP. For all the new fans or fans and collectors it is a must have. I am waiting a feedback from you guys if you get it. Enjoy your weekend everybody.
