Damizza (43,640) by Licia from USA It was the fans who started all this drama telling Damizza the song is about him. I can't stand Damizza because I think he's a cocky douche, but the fans were wrong and started attacking him first. My thing is who really cares who the song is about? Just enjoy the song and stop over analyzing things. The song could be about anybody. Guess what? Mariah will never tell you who so let it go. Social media makes the fan experience suck. I miss the days when we just enjoyed the music. There was no fighting, stan wars, and unnecessary attacks. We just enjoyed the music and all was calm in the world. Rant over. We all know Mariah didn't want to release a single so Thirsty was probably the labels doing. If it was I hope Mariah doesn't plan on do the bare minimum on performances or lip synching. Damizza (43,638) by Darryle from USA I read all the aritlces dealing with Damizza and Mariah and I still can't determine whether it's about him or not. The lyrics could be about him. He stunts on instagram and he's not very nice on twitter towards Mariah. But on one instagram post he said nothing but respect for the queen lamb. Which makes me wonder why Mariah would write a song about someone who isn't messing with her. In the lyrics Mariah said pull down your "Tom fords and act like you see." Confusion over "Target exclusive", MIAM (43,632) by Christy from USA I am confused over the whole "Target exclusive" thing with Me. I Am Mariah. According to MariahCarey.com it's a "Target exclusive" release. Or is this just the "America the Beautiful" addition? I ask this because MIAM is also for sale at Amazon.com and Best Buy. Thirsty (43,631) by B from USA It's what I expected. The title is Thirsty, what were people expecting? It sounds like a Hit Boy beat because it is. I loved Almost Home, #Beautiful, and You're Mine (Eternal). Thirsty is catchy. I like the beat and the lyrics are clever. It's a cute, fun summery song. It's perfect for summer. It's got a beat you can bounce to. I'm buying the album on the 27th. I hope she worked with a big name director for the video like Hype or Paul Hunter or Diane Martel who's been working with Miley. Bill from UK and Mimi L. (43,630) by enwar00 from usa I was just thinking about the buzz single practice this week as well. Mimi after reading your post, it reminded me of the Butterfly era. I feel like back then if there was suspicion that the newest single wouldn't hit #1, they didn't release a commercial single in the US, therefore it couldn't chart on Billboard. #2 would be so embarrassing wouldn't it? And forget about #11, that would be the chart equivalent of social suicide. Now that they can't manipulate the charts in that respect, a single gets downgraded based on its performance, as if you can just go back in time when you want to. I think this is pretty lame. It's been happening with other artists and singles as well. What's the big deal, have 8 singles from an album, half of them perform better than the others. And? (Wednesday 14 May 2014; 22:11)

Infact I agree with you, I wrote several days back that everytime a single doesn't do well (and mostly due to lack of promotion) it is labelled a buzz single by Mariah's team. Like TAOLG, Triumphant. I mentioned before, if TAOLG wasn't meant to be a proper single, why bother with making a "unprecedented" worldwide same day release and give it a better cover than all the other covers of the album and singles. Even YME didn't get a good cover. Now that YM didn't perform upto mark, JD said it's a buzz single. Which is silly. They are trying to make it that #B is the first single, Thirsty (with a potential to crack top 10) is the second, so that all the under performing singles do not bring down the image of the overall album. Gilles said it all (43,623) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany Amen, this is exactly what I mean. She has so many types of songs/music so everybody has their pick when she releases her art and craft. That's why I think that people should just come down from their "I don't like this song". She gave us a few different kind off songs this past year, for every taste and type she had something great. She is one of the few artists still out there that is so versatile. Respect her as an artist, respect her vision and brighten yours. She deserves so much more than what she is getting at the moment from her fans, she gave us so much for more than 2 decades and what do a lot do? Mimi L / buzz singles (43,621) by Bill from the UK Lol, sorry but is "buzz" now a trendy word for "flop"? I find it funny how Triumphant, TAOLG and now You're Mine are being designated as buzz singles because they didn't impact any charts. TAOLG I can believe, but the others, no way. If Triumphant had been a runaway success and a number one hit for 15 weeks running, the album would have been out last year and you all would be singing its praises. If it has a video produced, comes with remixes and is available to buy (and therefore chart), it's a single. This hasn't been Mariah's best string of singles (chart wise), but these excuses are becoming tired now. I love Thirsty. (Wednesday 14 May 2014; 20:20)

Thirsty, different songs (43,620) by Joe from United Kingdom I actually have not posted here in awhile, since then a bunch of new faces have appeared and that whole saga with that Issac guy came to an end. Anyway this is how I feel about Thirsty. I love the song, I can understand why some people might not like it, but I love it because it's really catchy and it sounds current, but still has Mariah's style on it. Songs I've liked the most so far are #Beautiful, Almost Home and Thirsty. I didn't really like TAOLG and YME was ok and it struck me that the songs I've liked the most are the one's she did with different producers. I like her past work with JD but sometimes now when they do a song together it sounds slightly dated or like another We Belong Together (YME). I just want her to keep evolving and branching out musically. If I don't like a song I say I'm not feeling it I move on and hopefully I'll like the next one. To the people who want the same style songs from the 90's, it's quite simple, go and listen to those songs. That's what I do if I want 90's Mariah, I go listen to it. I agree that in terms of commercial appeal she needed to release a club banger but I just don't see this song rising above the competition and it is just not growing on me either. I'm just sad because I know Mariah wants that 19th #1 as much as we want to give it to her, but I really doubt this song will be it. It is already proven to be very divisive. Thirsty (43,618) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I don't care what people say, Thirsty combined with the new iTunes banner got Mariah's album back in the iTunes top 40 US album charts. So imagine if this song is properly released and promoted, how great it would be for the album. I'm a little worried though that is Mariah not going to release this a proper single. JD did say that this is the second official single, the first being #B. The rest are buzz singles. So I do hope there is a proper release and a banging video to accompany it. Like somebody else wrote, the video should be matured and hot like it's like that and get your number. I think TEOM has some of her best videos along with Butterfly. I also agree with Gilles, Triumphant is hated collectively by lambs whereas many non lambs love it. I really like it too. It is a great song and had a great video. The only thing disappointing was that it was released then as a lead single and was Mariah's first single after Memoirs and yet she had little parts. So maybe it's not great for a lead single after waiting for 3 years, but in all I really like the song. (Wednesday 14 May 2014; 18:53)

Thirsty (43,617) by Jenny from South Africa I love this song. For me it was catchy from the first listen and it's just an adorable song. #Beautiful took a while to grow on me.
