Best and worst cover art / backlash's backlash (42,207) by Randy from USA
Favorite album cover: Butterfly
Worst album cover: MOAIA
I am so glad to see that there's a backlash over so much backlash. Yes, I agree Mariah's live vocals have been embarrassing to the lambily and yes, I agree that these are some of worst singles/songs she has ever released. (I'm sorry comparatively speaking, YME is the worst lead single she's ever released.) And yes, her interviews have been unfocused. But there have been too many people on here that seem like they want to burn MC at the stake. They are criticizing her drinking, her sanity, her marriage, her management, her font on her albums, her hair, her breasts, her clothes, her choice of interview locations and anything else. Look, I know the situation is bleak but we can't be critical of every little thing and some of these posts are mean. I am holding on to the fact that Mariah has never released a bad album. She has given us some amazing music so why can't we hold on to some of that and be a bit more positive?

Mariah before the [censored] (42,203) by Me. I am Carly from USA
It really is hard to blame Mariah as she is only human like the rest of use. She like any other person, doesn't seem to realize that her beauty lies in her realness and her true self. Before the [censored] and the [censored] she was naturally gorgeous. If she has a hard time being her age maybe we need to look at how she grew up and just be thankful that she is healthy. I will say as I have said it before I do not miss early nitrites Mariah actually it pisses me off because she burned herself out. Mariah clearly always had low self esteem. I think for someone in her position it is quite something to be as sane as she is but I will always expect more from her because she is stronger than many and if she wants something I don't think anybody dare get in her way.

Mariah's for St Patrick's Day IG pics (42,202) by ADAM from USA
Has anyone else noticed how Mariah posted to IG a bikini pic on a yacht with a tinted green filter passing it off as new when it's from 1999? I think she wants the unassuming public to see the side by side comparison to the pics from yesterday with the shamrock tattoo. You can't fool us lambs MC. Stop lying and accept your 44 year old body for what it is today, move on girl. Anyways it's always funny to see her photoshopped album covers and carefully orchestrated social media pics against her candid pics because it's literally like smoke and mirror effects. She needs to accept reality and stop living life in a Peter Pan bubble, it's so clear to everyone else the complex she has.

The point on my comment about the Rainbow cover album (42,201) by Anonymous from
Ok. So when I said that in her Rainbow cover album she looks like a Chinese girl, the point of my comment was that she doesn't look like herself because Mariah's eyes are not like that. It wasn't my intention and actually I think that I wasn't disrespectful but you know there are sensitive people, so if anybody feels touched by my opinion sorry but it's what I think.

Best/worst album and single covers (42,200) by Bill from the UK
I love topics like this. For albums, my best would be:
1. Emotions (love the sepia tone and the fact Mariah, her name, the album title and the track listing are all at angles)
2. Butterfly (eyes closed, just beautiful and captured the mood of the record perfectly)
3. Music Box (her lovely face).
Worst album covers:
1. Glitter (hate the pink, shimmer, and not a fan of Mariah's bleached blonde look)
2. Rainbow (I remember being embarrassed for Mariah when I saw this in the record store and surprised at how unashamedly sexy it was)
3. MOAIA (don't get the three Mariah thing, think one of her would have worked better)
Single covers:
1. Always be my baby (this is why it is my picture, I squealed when I walked into the record store after school knowing that was the day it came out, and loved the hat, the hair, the gold lettering, everything about it)
2. Vision of love (Mariah and the microphone is somewhat of an iconic image for me)
3. Make it happen (I love the sunny tone, the shadow of Mariah being used for the reverse, just think it's beautiful)
Worst single covers:
1. I'll be lovin' u long time (her head looks elongated)
2. Against all odds (solo version), not a fan of the hair, outfit or pose
3. Don't stop (only really liked the Loverboy shoot from this era)

Breakdown is my favorite. I adore the lyrics. I'll try to be nochalant about it until I go home tonight and breakdown and cry.

Favorite and most hated album/single covers (42,198) by John from USA
Top 3 album covers:
1. E=MC2 (my favorite album of hers, this cover is different, sexy, yet still classy and not overly airbrushed like the mess that TEOM was)
2. Daydream (absolutely iconic album cover)
3. Greatest Hits (so beautiful and classy. Love this picture of her)
Top 3 hated album covers:
1. Emotions (just boring to me)
2. Glitter (too much going on, tacky)
3. Music Box (too up close, lol)
Top 3 single covers:
1. Forever/Underneath The Stars (lying in the grass, beautiful and innocent Mariah)
2. Butterfly Meme Remixes (both promo CDs, one she’s coming out of the water, one is from the Butterfly album)
3. X-Girlfriend (very rare promo CD, with a blue background, and Mariah looks perhaps the best she ever has, may not be an official promo cd)
Top 3 hated single covers:
1. Triumphant (too airbrushed, like a painting, similar to TEOM)
2. Emotions (boring, just like the album)
3. Boy (I Need You) (she looks horrible and tired here)

Kelly Price (42,197) by Bill from the UK
Lol, it's ironic that everybody's up in arms about Kelly Price and what she supposedly said about Mariah, when all we do ourselves is sit here criticising the way her voice sounds now compared to the Daydream era.

Best/worst cover art (42,196) by Ryan from the Philippines
Best cover art (album):
1. Butterfly (just beautiful and classic)
2. The Emancipation of Mimi (Ultra Platinum Edition)
3. #1's (her best black and white album cover art)
Worst cover art (album):
1. Glitter (Ugh, the photoshop they did on her waist looked like it was done by an unprofessional/untrained/novice editor. He should be nailed for doing it. Lol.)
2. Greatest Hits (I only based this back when I was not a big fan yet and I happened to see this album and I thought she looked old on that cover, but..)
3. MTV Unplugged (lol for the hair but she looked cute and happy though)
Best cover art (single):
1. We Belong Together
2. My All
3. Underneath The Stars
Worst cover art (single):
1. I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time
2. #Beautiful
3. Breakdown

Carlos and M (42,195) by Kenny from Canada
"Rainbow (she looks like a Chinese girl, I can't see her eyes)." That's actually a racist statement. M, I thumbed down your comment for jokes.

My Top 3 favorite album covers
1. Greatest Hits (so classic and angelical)
2. Butterfly (that album is a classic in every single way)
3. The Remixes (She looks so natural)
My Top 3 hated album covers
1. Memoirs of an imperfect angel (ughh the shadows of her boobies, so [censored])
2. The Emancipation of Mimi (that girl reminds me of Beyonce and not Mariah)
3. Rainbow (she looks like a Chinese girl, I can't see her eyes)

Breakdown by Mariah ft Bone Thugs n Harmony (42,190) by andy from philippines
Mariah should do a song as genius as Breakdown from Butterfly album. The lyrics of that song has too much pain and very deep that anyone can relate too. For me that was the best lyrics on Mariah's songwriting career. Also the beat and production is perfectly done. The music video of Breakdown is the prettiest Mariah I've ever seen. So sad that Beakdown didn't chart because of Mariah's conflict with her label.

Thoughts (42,189) by B from USA
You're Mine is climbing the Adult R&B Songs and Rhythmic Songs charts. You're Mine (Eternal) is an R&B song and it's a great R&B song. It's better than Drunk In Love by Bey or any other song on the radio. Kelly Price is a bitter witch with a capital B. Ms. Grande doesn't write or produce. She's not the new or next MC.

Stop torturing yourself (42,188) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Simple solution: unfollow her on Facebook and Twitter, stop logging on to her fansites, hell it should be easy to not listen to her new music since radio doesn't play it anymore , stop watching her interviews. Instead of crying and hoping MC retires, no one's forcing you to still be a fan. Stop torturing yourself. Sorry I had to. Oh and I appreciate that censorship webmaster, I can't imagine the level of "trollism" we'd have to endure otherwise. Thanks for using your better judgement.

Blake (42,187) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany
Are you for real? Your message was not reasonable at all, and I do understand why the webmaster cencored it. I'm not even going to go into detail because these kind off posts is what I meant in my last message here about some being downright disrespectful about the woman we all love and call our idol. For the record, what has language got to do with anything? I'm Dutch, live in Germany and understand English like every other person here just as much as the webmaster.
(Tuesday 18 March 2014; 14:19)
Maybe Dutch is your first language? (42,186) by Blake from Italy
No need to post this response but just for your edification, I reviewed the post which you modified "censored" and nowhere did I call her "insane". That is your word, certainly not mine. You must have very little regard for your members if you feel so compelled to mislead them like that. My post was quite reasonable and in no way offensive. Why don't you man up and post it, let your members decide. [Webmaster: Here are the parts of Blake's original messages that I've censored: "Mariah when she's sober, sane, and present can out sing anyone on the radio. If Mariah chooses to not get sober and make responsible lifestyle choices like taking care of the instrument which got her to where she is, then she should just retire and raise her children in a healthy environment. Hopefully Mariah will quietly retire and not torture us with more tasteless selfies and bad music since most of us would rather remember her for the legendary talent we enjoyed and celebrated in the 90s." If you write "Mariah when she's sober, sane", you imply that she's sometimes drunk and insane. And which fan hopes that Mariah will "quietly retire and not torture us with more tasteless selfies and bad music"?]

Lambily (42,185) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany
I really hope that some of the rules the webmaster made for the messageboard will get applied more strictly like he said he would. I visit this website a few times a week but the tone of the messages got so negative that I just didn't want to log in anymore. I have no problem reading different sides of the subjects that are being discussed; I do however have a problem when it's not giving a little criticism but really disrespecting the person we all love. That some say why are certain people still a fan/lamb when they are downright disrespectful in every message that's posted is to be understood, nobody needs to be delusional or talk like everything is fine and dandy. But to go and spew your negativity for the person you call your idol is far from the way to go as well. I really hope we can get back to a place where we respect each other as much as we respect our idol, where we can say we agree to disagree and move on.

Finally (42,184) by Zachary from Croatia
I read this page on every day basis and I write from time to time but for the past week or two I started to ask myself does this page has a webmaster or someone to make an order amongst this offensive posts that I was reading. I am happy to see that there is. As a fan from day one I totally get Mariah's essence and I get all of her actions because I believe that every Mariah fan can relate to her through her music, pain when she was younger and strength when she got older (especially in the Butterfly era) and I don't get surprised when she does or doesn't do something that others may feel awkward because I get it. And that's something that makes me happy. I have to say that I like You're Mine now, it grows slowly but I like it.

Censorship (42,183) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
Blake seems to have forgotten that this is a Mariah Carey fansite, so when he started insulting Mariah (calling her insane etc), no wonder his message got censored. Maybe in the past I neglected some of my own rules, but from now on I will apply them strictly. The same with calling other fans names. We are all fans of Mariah and although we might disagree about certain things (songs, the way Mariah promotes her songs or the way she looks), we still all love Mariah (at least I hope you do). So when you call other fans "not real fans" or "fair-weather fans", your message will get censored too.

Promo (42,182) by Darryle from USA
Since it seems the promo for YM(E) has ended I started thinking about promo for the album and what Mariah could do. For starters she should drop a single sometime this month. The single I'm assuming is going to be Thirsty because it's all she talks about when mentioning the album. Then drop a video with an actual storyline on a music video show like 106 and Park or MTV/VH1. Then perform the single live more than once. After she's drummed up interest in the album with the single she should do something like she did with TAOLG. Live chat with fans and answer questions about the journey or give insight on some songs from the album. But this time she should do a YouTube video chat so that she can talk and say as she pleases. After the live chat she should put the album up for preorder on iTunes along with a first listen. Then from there on out just do regular promo like sit down interviews and radio with the occasional live performance.

Censorship (42,181) by Blake from Italy
I woke up laughing when I saw my post has been censored. It was tame compared to much of what has been posted here and certainly no profanity. It was simply objective, it occurs to me that often times the title "lamb" is interchange-able with "sheep". Does it occur to you that it looks really weak to have censorship on that level here? Imagine if CNN did that (overtly). What are you afraid of? No need to post a censored version or any version of this e-mail. Have a nice day.

Nick (42,179) by Daydream327 from USA
I used to love Nick, but overtime I've come to dislike him. He talks way too much and gives the public way too much detail about him and Mariah's personal life. He appears to make Mariah happy and is a great father to dem babies so I can respect him for that but overall I really do not care for him. He also needs to stop making music. It's embarrassing lol, just my opinion.
