Mmm, hmm I agree with you there.

Mariah looked absolutely glamorous. I'm with you about Oprah. No one should stop talking when it comes to sexual harassment or abuse towards anyone. Man, woman, or child. If Oprah didn't say anything people would have ripped her apart.

It was a great night for Mariah. Agree to completely disagree about Oprah and her statement though. Her comments were in the interest of equality and love.

So beautiful at GG Award (80,321) by Nonna from Ukraine
Just wow, I don't know who think what but for me it was the best look since forever. Just stunning, I literally fell in love with that look. I just can't believe that same woman could appear without a skirt last year and looked rediculous and this one at GG Award. Mariah has changed in a very good way lately and it's noticable.I wonder how Stella feels now seeing Mariahs success and her new team.

Time's Up (80,320) by Lee from UK
It sounds like Mariah has something to say to say about how women are treated in the music industry. Mariah will have a lot to say about that. Time's Up indeed.

Everything is said. This is how a year should start. I agree, Mariah looked stunning and was so sweet. And I did enjoy Sharon and MC too.

BFF calls me about Mariah (80,317) by Anonymous from
My BFF called me solely to discuss Mariah, she was actually excited for me that Mariah seems to be turning a corner. I know it's cheesy and a bit extra but it felt refreshing knowing that public opinion could been slowly changing for some. Since Stella and co have gone Mariah now seems more herself again. She oozes confidence, charisma, charma and beauty. Yes Stella wasn't completely to blame for the last few years but this new management team are on point. Well done Mariah.

Great speaking to you other day. I can vouch that his bark isn't at bad as his bite. We agreed and disagreed on many subjects and before I knew it, we had been chatting for over an hour. Well worth it.

Re: Gl (80,312) (80,315) by Tijl from Belgium
I love that she is looking more like herself instead of the Zombieriah of the previous years. Her glow isn't just the result of Kristopher's capable hands. She wore a good dress - not great though - and looked very much at ease.

Agreed on all fronts about Mariah. It was a good night. And yes, I think she should write more songs for movies. And Oprah? Just stop talking.

It's not that deep.

So the Globes were fabulous for these reasons: Mariah holding hands with Sharon Stone, Mariah taking Meryl Streep's seat, Mariah's cute tweet that "Marc and I will try another year" and Mariah's own globes being mostly kept in their framework. So Mariah Mariah Mariah Mariah. It was good to see and read about her with other global celebrities and not just Jermaine Dupri or some other wally in a tshirt and gold chains. It almost made Oprah's sanctimony bearable. Not quite, but almost. Mariah should definitely be writing more original songs for movies.

Yes she did look good and sounded lucid. That Dolce and Gabana gown was cute.

Re: Sustained notes (80,292) (80,309) by 123 from USA
Although I agree that especially this year she struggled vocally and had less shinning moments that stood out, she had some good live mid belts that were very resonant and pleasing. The last held "Be" in Vision of Love during the All The Hits tour sometimes sounded so good that fans were starting to wonder if she was lipping that note. She also did a nice job belting the last "comes" on WCC during her holiday concerts that sounded nice and resonant where she successfully went down the scale while still singing. I would rather her use whatever part of her voice is most dependable when singing live instead of just opting for the pre-record to come on. Most singers do that to compensate for whatever area of their voice is lacking at the moment. I wouldn't call it smoke and mirrors if it's live. Smoke and mirrors to me are the pre-records. Anyway, here is a clip of her WCC last belt during her Christmas concerts this year.

Golden Globes (80,307) by Lila from United States
She looked good (not my choice of dress by it was good enough). She was open and lucid. I'm not bothered one way or another about the loss. I'm just glad this was another good moment.

Mariah at Golden Globes (80,305) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Mariah looked her usual gorgeous self. I loved the shout out to other female writers, so many that go unrecognized due to sexism. Her managment may have had her pre-read/rehearse the nominees for best song so that the pronunciation of winner "Alexandre Desplat" wasn't so fumbled.

Golden Globes, Sharon Stone and Mimi (80,304) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Mariah looks stunning at the Golden Globes. Wow, here hair has be floored, gorgeous. The interview with Al Roker and Sharon Stone was fantastically adorable. I could watch a full hour of Sharon and Mariah bantering. Who knew they were neighbours? So glad to see Mimi be her easy, chill, cool self again. She was just rolling with it, not self conscious and humble.

Golden Globes Best Original Song - Motion Picture (80,303) by John from USA
"This Is Me" from "The Greatest Showman" won. Congrats, still, to Mariah and Marc Shaiman, for the nomination. Hopefully, the best is still to come for this year.

Golden Globes (80,301) by Licia from USA
I'm not watching the Golden Globes, but I did see a few pictures. Mariah and Mary J. Blige are gorgeous. Those are the only two people I saw. Lol.

Re: Industry backing (80,297) (80,300) by Licia from USA
I thought she said something really bad. I agree with her though. The have become boring and predictable. Lol I can also understand why she's a little bitter. They practically give away Grammys to sh*tty artists with subpar music now. She got passed over with a great body of work. Matty having 5 Grammys may not be a great number for an artist of Mariah's caliber, but she could be one of those artists who deserves one but have never won.
