Jessie Ware - Glasshouse (79,024) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
So Jessie's latest offering dropped last week, and as expected, it's the most sophisticated set of tunes that's been released in a long period, a breath of fresh air among a sea of mostly brash, generic or dumb music that have been filling the airwaves. One of the many standout tracks is second single Selfish Love. It's exactly what an unhealthy tropical summer fling sounds like. If you're as swept by the guitar work and the sexy, Sade-ish vibe as I am, then it's probably because it's produced by Happy Perez - yeah, the guy who was also behind #Beautiful. So Mariah, if you're ever gonna do a Latin-tinged track again, you know who to call.

Re: That ring (79,020) (79,023) by Butterfly from
I don't believe Bryan is her boyfriend. That ring and Bryan is just to get back at James for whatever reasons. I doubt James cares about a broke dancer who's on her payroll. If she has any self respect left she would stop fronting for the camera's. What she did after Luis Miguel until Nick was great. Never spoke about boyfriends or her private life. The truth is single or private Mariah is better for her career. Not going to restaurants and events holding hands with a fake boyfriend. Come on, when it's real people know. I miss private, classy and real Mariah.

Stella just won't go away (79,022) by Sheila from United States
Stella was seen at dinner with Mariah and Bryan later that evening after Mariah's performance at the dinner. This woman just won't go away, she is holding on for dear life and after the new years eve moment and the draining dance moment these misteps, she should have been fired, she is a pr mess.

Re: Christmas on December 4 (78,998) (79,021) by Lee from UK
I thought she had moved the Beacon shows to Vegas too as that was what was written when the Vegas shows were announced. It is frustrating as my cousin and I were planning a New York trip specifically to see Mariah as it would have been bloody magical. Alas, we have now settled for Manchester, UK, which is somewhat less magical as it is literally down the road. I hope she announces next years' shows in a more timely fashion so us international fans can organise ourselves accordingly.

That ring (79,020) by Licia from USA
Mariah, come on sis. You know you need to stop wearing that ring. I don't care what anyone says, it's super disrespectful to her supposed boyfriend to wear that ring. This is one of the reasons why I don't believe that this "relationship" is real. Banaka Tanaka can't possibly be ok with her walking around in another man's engagement ring. Don't even come at me with that "he's probably secure in his manhood" mess. That's crap and he looks like a fool for allowing it. Lol.

I find that MC does not belt out full force on The Star because I think that she wants us hear Dem Babies' singing. I would also like for MC's mom Patricia to join them.

I agree that all the good tickets are rather expensive for this casino Christmas tour, except maybe for Windsor Ontario.

Nice to read fair and positive press for Mariah. After all, she's got a huge project and holiday tour to promote.

Re: JT to return to the Superbowl (79,006) (79,014) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
A lot of conspiracy theorists, especially back then, believed the Superbowl incident was planned - breast exposure and all. If that were true, it was an extremely stupid publicity stunt. Well the original plan was that Justin would tear off the outer layer of Janet's outfit after he sings the line "...have you naked at the end of this song", and then when he rips it off, it would reveal the red lace bra underneath. The intention was obvious because of the choice of bra color, which would stand out against her black outfit. It was in the actual execution of the plan that things have gone wrong. Apparently, either Janet's ensemble wasn't made well enough to suit the plan or Justin may just have unintentionally gripped too much of the fabric. Had this not happened, Janet's underrated album Damita Jo which was due for release at the time would have performed even better (it almost knocked Usher's Confessions off the top spot, which in 2004, was the album to beat). Its singles would have also fared better, especially the brilliant Kanye-produced (and my favorite) I Want You. You could tell the public demand for Janet was still very strong despite the mishap. But after the blacklisting and boycotting that followed, Janet, a visual artist, didn't really stand a chance after being punished by the very media entities that made her the star that she is - MTV and VH1, along with all the radio stations that used to be play her material on heavy rotation. The much sadder fact is that this carried on years later enough to stifle Feedback's success in 2008. In fact, it still lingers to this day.

Drew, I'm not delusional. Like most people, when pay for quality, I expect quality. Maybe I didn't make my point clear. With the concert being so well put together, entertaining and somewhat short, one leaves the venue wanting more, that's what I meant. If the concert is wack is wack not matter if it's one or two hours long. And stop being bitchy.

Matty, wow, you're welcome. I can imagine your face when you heard those soothing buttery vocals on "Help Me Make It". You can say you got two new songs from Mariah this year then, if I see any post of you complaining for the rest of the year, I'll tell Eric to ban you from posting. With two new songs, you can't complain.

They should have made a movie called "Migrate" for "Migrate" to be the Original Song. That song was bloody wasted.

Re: Page Six (79,003) (79,009) by Andrew from UK
Come on, let's be real and honest, here. Just for once. Mariah Carey is known for being a wacko. And she just streamed the most wacko thing ever that didn't have a TRL logo in the corner of the screen. People laugh at Mariah because her "Darling, look how rich I am and how little about you peasants I care" attitude has removed any semblance of sympathy for her. So yes, I have to agree. Maybe she is bipolar. But nobody really gives a shit. And if she did come out with it she would be *legitimising* the "wacko" argument. So she never will. Best play it up like you mean it, right? For you can't act like a bitch then expect everyone to come to your hospital room. It would be like you guys coming to my hypothetical funeral.

So the fact that it's really short is a good thing? Because, rather than getting your money's worth, it leaves you *wishing* you got your money's worth? Alright TernEddie. Calm down. There's a good boy.

Ok, I am so so happy to see this change in her. Recently, when it has come to lipping that climax, she has been doing it with no effort. Here, she's pulling expressions, she's actually making it look like she's singing live. And I love that. I really do hope this means that Stella and her coven has gone, and Mariah can be happy now.

Edward. How could I forget Right to Dream. I love that track. Wow. Wow. Wow. I've never heard "Help Me Make It Through The Night". That song is fantastic. If this didn't make the Tennessee soundtrack it sure as help should have been on MIAM arranged to play right after #Beautiful. I love the use of her voice, the vibe, the simplicity, the beauty. Thank you for introducing me to this stunning track.

Page Six (79,003) by Mara from United States
Who is this guy? Always makes me frustrated to be a "lamb" when these people come out of the woodwork and rag on her for their own benefit because it is "in" to talk about how "looney" Mariah Carey is. It's especially upsetting when you see her trying to turn things around. That video he is talking about that we have all seen, apparently has been since deleted. She has also posted another one seeming more "professional". I am not one for posting or really using twitter or instagram other than looking, but I had to post to this guy. Making a mockery of the song "The Star", acting like his "high notes" even stood a chance to her whistles whether she can hit them like before or not. Just comes across as tactless and crass. I don't know why this guy got to me so much but as I said to him, I have never heard of him before this kick to Mariah Carey, and now this is what I associate his name with. Whatever, sorry for the rant. Must be the wacky weather on the east coast today.

Re: JT to return to the Superbowl (78,995) (79,002) by Licia from USA
I agree. It sucks how they treated her and a lot of people are mad that he's being allowed to perform. The right thing to do would be to surprise the world and bring her out with him, but as you said the powers that be would not let that happen. Also because with how cowardly JT was when the incident initially happened I doubt he'd have the balls to go against the big people now.

Beacon (79,001) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I got to experience Mariah at the Beacon theater in 2015 and it was fantastic. To everyone going this year have a wonderful time because you are in for a special treat. Mariah was a very festive host and it was fun. On another note I am proud to see Mariah gaining back her confidence on stage and getting her voice into shape so that the fans can get a great show and most importantly get what they came for.

Yes MusicfanJ. There is a definite change in MC. Almost like Butterfly in a way. She is oozing confidence and happiness and is looking amazing. Who knows, maybe she is free from Stella and happy about it. The Mariah we knew was always so private in her personal life so who knows what it is, but she def seems happy. It could be because she is looking amazing and in great voice and is approaching the time of year that she dominates like no other. Seeing her last night mingling with such big names, glamorous fashion and what not. She looked every part the legend she is. So much better than the 1 Oak posing Mariah. I hope this is an indication of good things to come. She sounded amazing on those live feeds and made herself aware to a whole new group of people from just that. She needs to go with it now and continue this way. I really wish I was going to the Beacon this year. I can tell it's going to be an amazing show compared to the mess last year. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrible, but nowhere near 14 and 15. She was deep in with Stella and her family hanging out in the audience, Mariah's World was just starting to air, and her voice wasn't near the last two years. This year however, I can tell with how things are going, it's going to be amazing. She really should record one and air it live or at least a performance. Edward, you are right to get tickets this time.
