Re: Lets lay off Bryan haha (74,251) (74,256) by tracey from australia
Bryan is the only good thing I can see in Mariah's life right now, have you seen her smile when she is with him? if you done any research on him at all you would realise he is a beautiful humble man who takes care of his family and friends and takes his career seriously and I truely don't believe he is in it for anything other than love. Do some research on him and their relationship for the last year, then get back with your opinion as it think it may be a little different than taking a stab in the dark about him and just being judgemental because of who he is dating.

Re: The Art of Letting Go conversation (74,246) (74,255) by Terna from Nigeria
Eduoard you made me chuckle "The Art of Letting Go" is not about Nick Cannon at all. It's about Tommy and maybe her siblings. That line "bundle all your possessions outside the kitchen window" I feel is used as a figuratively. The word "possessions" could mean traits or insecurities she got as a result of her time with Tommy, being dominated and not being able to be herself, her trust issues, feeling she has a good side etc. All that stems from Tommy, he's the common denominator. So it's the process of letting of all that which she sings isn't easy. Mariah is such a master songwriter she leaves it open for interpretation and application to our lives. To me, that song is the most important song she's every written. It came from a different place. It's real, it's raw and very relatable.

So you know him to write so bad about him? So judgementful.

Re: Benny Medina (74,249) (74,253) by Edward from USA
Stella, Tommy and Sony made Celine the international star that she is. René was instrumental in her success making sure she always had the best, something you don't do for Mariah. He was an exceptional manager, but no matter how good your manager is, without the label's muscle behind it to support the singer, there's no career. There are many artist more and less talented than Mariah that never made it because they didn't find a visionary like Tommy or Clive Davis who believed in them. Mottola was the architect of Celine's and Mariah's careers, whether you like it or not. During his 15-year tenure, Mottola built Sony up from a company with revenues of $800 million a year to one with over $6 billion of annual revenue by the year 2000, and that wasn't just by being just a manager. René Angélil was the best manager any artist could have. He made sure Celine always had access to the best, and Celine obviously listened to him, but without Tommy and Sony behind her, she wouldn't be who she is today. Look where you have Mariah's career in the toilet, giving the middle finger and touching herself is if she were an extra in a 2 Chainz's video.

He's another idiot that kisses her ass and lives off her dime, which Mariah loves for anyone to do. It's not as if he's going to say anything to her that goes against the grain. There's nothing for Mariah to not smile about.

Wait a minute. René Angelil and Céline Dion both worked very hard to make her a star. Tommy Mottola didn't make Céline a star.

Benny Medina (74,248) by Edward from USA
Benny Medina, unlike Stella, isn't anybody's baby sitter. He manages many artists, not just JLo. He has a team, he's not a one man show, he actually know what he's doing. He could manage Mariah, JLo and anybody else he thinks he could based on his company resources. This idea that a manager or publicist should be just for one specific artist because they would be conflict of interest is utterly ridiculous. It's like telling a divorce lawyer that he could only represent one client at a time because it would a conflict of interest. Tommy made Celine a star while still being full force behind Mariah's career. Stella is a one-inexperienced-woman show, Benny like Tommy back then has a very qualified team working with and for him that doesn't include his offspring, siblings, in-laws or grand parents. Stella is a one woman live-in show, just like Mariah wants it. Mariah wasn't ever going to get a live-in manager from JD or Randy. The older Mariah gets, the needier she seems to become. So, for those of you thinking that Stella is going anywhere, just make your peace with it. As you could all see, Stella is an ass kisser, telling Mariah repeatedly that she loves her, and that every f*g thing she does is ok, and Mariah loves the attention. So yes, if Mariah surrounded herself by professionals, she could have a second coming. But as she gets older and keeps on clowning touching her tits and giving the middle finger while lying down somewhere, that is very far fetched.

Lets lay off Bryan haha (74,247) by lil star from untied states
We need to lay off the Bryan weather or not we think he's right for her, she seems to be enjoying his company. Nobody liked Nick at first and now people changed there [sic] tune about him. I think for Mariah it's not about the money there are a lot of similarities between Bryan and Nick, there [sic] both kinda goofy and you always see them laughing and with a smile and maybe tha'ts what she likes. She's done it all and been all over the world maybe doing stuff with Bryan and his excitement for all the new stuff he gets to experience is infectious to her.

I understand your point, it's more coherent than Infinity though. I like this song nonetheless. For Mariah TAOLG is deeper than we think. I truly believe she scrapped it as a sign of commitment to her then husband. They gave it another chance and she wrote YME and released it to celebrate the continuation of their relationship. It must have been such a hard time for Mariah. I hope she will adress this period one day, although I totally respect her choice of not wanting to talk bad about the father of her children.

The #Beautiful video is simple yet so elegant and iconic. I always love how Mariah dances in the air and let her hair do all the choreography.

I agree with that, I was glad a while back when she said she was taking a social media break, but it didn't even last two weeks lol. I wonder if that rumor will be true about joining Parkwood Entertainment.

Well, didn't lots of fans wanted her to go away? Guess they got what they wanted. I actually was happy with her being in the spot all the time, not all articles were negative.

Re: Ridiculously bad videos (74,197) (74,242) by May from Denmark
Her videos have been going downhill since before that. "HateU" was so terrible and it made me feel so dissapointed when I saw it the first time because the song was amazing, a beautiful melody and great lyrics. Then "Angels Cry" was terribly boring, another chance at a great video thrown away. Even "#Beautiful" was boring, I feel that the color tone and the lighting saved that one from going to the bin, the memorable chandeliers scene and Mariah spinning in the yellow dress is all I got from it. Truly "I don't" takes the award for badness masterpiece. The only two scenes I liked were her in the wedding gown flipping the bird and the one with the red dress burning it to the ground, the rest was cringeworthy and trying way too hard, she still looked very pretty. She needs a professional director capable of screen writing and scripting, Brett has been slacking big time.

Where's Mariah? (74,241) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
With so much negative publicity surrounding Mariah I am glad that she is taking time away from the public hopefully she is taking time to reflect and recharge. I also hope that she is resurrecting herself and her team. Truth be told Stella and company have not been conducive to Mariah or her career. Mariah needs a team that is no nonsense and can show her that her greatness is diminishing with these unnecessary cheap stunts. I want MC to be true to herself but I also want her to respecting her craft and genius with the quality and greatness she is capable of.

Benny Medina (74,240) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Benny Medina was MC's manager for five years and it's not a secret that Benny is a diva to the max as well. While he did great things with MC there was a conflict of interest when he was back to managing Jlo. There is no way he was going to be able to manage them both at the same time. He is also the Godfather to Jlo's twins, so their relationship runs deeper than that of him and MC. Honestly for me as long as she has a competent team surrounding her, and she finds inspiration and focus again MC could find great levels of success again. Until that happens the results will be what they are right now. When have to stop blaming others and point the finger solely at MC because she puts her team together and around her.

I like her vocal performance on TAOLG but the lyrics are clunky. It's like two songs merged into one. The verses are Hoodriah and the choruses are classic Mariah.

It's for a top secret project but once it's completed we'll share it on here. Thanks. I forgot to include my email address. My email is blambert@ohiochristian.edu. Eric, I hope you're ok with this and I'd love to feature you in this passion project.

Would be great (74,237) by RibbonB from USA
If Mariah really took some time off to rest and reflect and raise her children. Only she can make herself happy, or be happy, no external person cad do that. That is a vicious cycle in Mariah and many people's lives. She will always be subject to the whims of external forces until she finds peace within. Grappling with any issues in public and on a reality show stage are a recipe for failure and all participants are at fault even, or especially the hired love interest. Really, how could she ever trust that? Stella was a stupid hire to begin with and Mariah should have listened to her really concerned friends, not the paid for friends who are on payroll to gas her up and keep her entertained and served 24/7.

Re: Article: Meet Mariah Carey's maybe fake, definitely hot BF (74,226) (74,236) by RibbonB from USA
That might be a cute fantasy, but they fired the one who seemed to really care about Mariah and how she looked and professionalism and that was Anthony. Yeah he encouraged the boobs and curves, but she needs no encouragement for that. This current crew is approved by Stella. Hand picked.

Re: Ridiculously bad videos (74,225) (74,234) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Exactly Bliss. And Mariah is too good in every way to play the sex chick like woman without any talent. The showbiz is full of them, we don't need another one. It's ok if women show the sexiness but still in a classy way. Mariah did it many years and it was never embarrassing. I'm still sure her "entourage" is saying how hot all the latest actions are (and MC seems to believe it) but it's not hot. The video of "I still believe" is sexy, "Sweetheart", "Honey", "Heartbreaker", "Can't let go", "The roof" and the list goes on. Bad taste will never be sexy, like too much blush.

Yes, she is so loveable. I remember when this special was on MTV Europe, I watched it again and again on my video-cassette. I still have it somewhere. Didn't know it is on YouTube. This is the real Mariah without the fake circus around her. Thanks for posting the link. I'm so jealous of the interviewer. Haha.
