Re: Test (70,265) (70,268) by darrian liu from taiwan
Wrong sentence lol, I meant "her impact and commercial success peaked in her Columbia years", not "most of her impact and commercial success were mostly found in her Columbia years". Gosh, I'm such a mess lol.

Beyonce and Jlo can dress trashy and it's ok (70,267) by Sheila from United States
Mariah's image started out classy so people have in there mind she is the "real" singer in a gown. This new Mariah with her fake boobs hanging out like a trashy porn start would be great if Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez did it but people don't want trashy siren from Mariah, they want that woman who sang clear and strong in that beautiful gown. They won't except less.

There you go again. Seriously you should see a doctor about this obsession you have. Certainly would be a better forum to address your problems. Seems you made your trolling debut here with an agenda that hasn't changed. A friendly suggestion, "Don't drink and post."

Re: Test (70,263) (70,265) by darrian liu from taiwan
This is not to say that Mariah isn't successful after Mottola, nor that she has no impact after Mottola - Heartbreaker video alone is influential. Her work after Mottola is still so influential and amazing, but there's no denying that her impact and commercial success are mostly found in her years in Columbia, or to be more time-specific, before she left Mottola.

I will say this - Morgan/Truth deserves respect for all he overcame w/r/t physical, mental and legal issues as an adolescent and adult. Not many could've done that with all the devils he had inside him (to this day).

Test (70,263) by darrian liu from taiwan
Actually, I have an easy test on whether Mariah's career declined after Mottola or not. Try name Mariah's biggest hits, the ones that not only us lambs remember, but the public still adores/remembers. I'm sure that the songs that will be mentioned are:
Hero
Vision of Love
Always Be My Baby
Fantasy
AIWFCIY
Without You
Emotions
When You Believe
Honey
We Belong Together
Look at the songs. Notice their respective years of release. They are all from Mariah's years in Columbia, save for WBT. It's not to say that Mariah's musicality diminished (I actually prefer her post-Mottola music to her Mottola years, save for Daydream and Butterfly), but the impact of her music has certainly declined after Columbia.

New website (70,262) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Can someone please explain to me why Mariah has this new "life and style" type website now? I'm so sick of seeing stupid links on her Facebook page from her website about weird baby gifts, stuff to avoid talking about during the holidays and what not. It's all so cheap and doesn't go with her brand. Are they on a mission to involve her brand with everything she doesn't match with and then cheapen it some more? I just don't get it. Yes she needed her website to be more active and up to date but what's with these stupid posts?

Mariah (70,260) by Tameka walker from United states
It seems to me and I know that every one has a right to their opinion. I totally respect that but it seems like people hate her. When I see others like Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé dress.

MCA World (70,258) by RibbonB from USA
I can't stop laughing. We have two posters arguing as if they are estranged uncle and nephew, or are they? I can't. Shawn if that is really you, please tell Mimi to have several seats with her antics. Love her, but she needs to do better and to stop trying to market boy toy so much, especially in relation to those kids.

Re: A galaxy far, far away (70,253) (70,257) by Marissa from USA
Wow, I didn't know that studs with enviable lives make hobbies out of airing their family's dirty laundry out to the press for fun. Seems like he should be too busy shopping, flexing a 6-pack and making out with his hot wife to have time to run to the press trash-talking a sibling that constantly ignores him despite his failed attempts to get her attention.

Keep trolling. Me thinks thou doth protest too much. You sound pretty unbalanced, try to take it easy. You are taking this stuff way to seriously. Do some exercise or have another splash and try to be festive. Enjoy your holidays.

Mariah queen of clickbait (70,255) by Martyn from England, UK
So it seems Mariah is now the queen of clickbait. After the "blingy gifts for your babies" blog, we've now been treated to a gif-heavy "4 Topics to Avoid Discussing During the Holidays" post. I'm really not sure what the strategy is behind this, but this MariahsWorld.com website needs to go. It's just the latest in a long line of money-making ventures that shows how little she and her team respect the fans.

Re: A galaxy far, far away (70,250) (70,254) by Lannister from USA
Post-Tommy means post-Tommy. Post-Columbia is not the same. Do you think when she left Tommy and he was the head of the company that they were pushing her music as hard as before? Especially since Butterfly was mainly trashing him? Get real. I know that is Morgan. And there isn't a funnier thing in the world than him talking about integrity - talking about his family for $, and sending very little or none of it to his sick sister (according to a blog of the person who takes care of her) that he's talking about. Fraud. I'm not Shawn, though I did meet him at the show in NY - he came up to us Lambs and told us how much Mariah loves us at the back gate. Also posted a photo with his family (including Pat) at the show. I do enjoy following him on twitter and he certainly doesn't have an issue clapping back when folks get out of line. Perhaps someone should invite him to the board. Doubt he'd have a problem putting his name on comments.

Given the choice, I'd sure rather be Morgan than Shawn. Morgan's a stud who looks really happy, calls it like he sees it, and lives in Florence Italy with his gorgeous wife.

Fame monster (70,252) by George Golden from UK
I was wondering if her fans can go after her on twitter and call her out on this monstrosity that has become her image? She needs an intervention asap. We are witnessing a train wreck right in front of our eyes. I don't buy the idea that this was her original character. Watch her early interviews you will know she has changed. She wasn't pretending then. Money and fame has turned her into a fame monster.

1997 (70,251) by George Golden from UK
What is wrong with this woman? It's all a freak show now. She is getting more trashy by the minute. It's just sad. The voice has taken a backseat. Can somebody even be sexually abusive to their own body? Can't she change her style? You know different hair style different dressing style. People evolve but it seems she hasn't evolved from 1997. Just pathetic to watch.

More like 1996 and final a year or so later. So do you still think the other guy is Shawn? He thinks you are Morgan. This is rich. The real Crustella please stand up.

Re: A galaxy far, far away (70,243) (70,249) by Andrew from UK
Your post defies comprehension. Professionally, I count Mariah "post-Tommy" as meaning "post-Columbia". Whilst at Columbia, Mariah still had control over her career from the Sony execs etc. Post-Columbia, TEOM was along the lines of the Sony days in terms of global success. Removing that, everything else is average in comparison in terms of, well, almost everything. Mariah and lambs like to claim that most success is down to her and most failings down to other people. In reality, the more power Mariah exercises over her own career, the shitter it is. I once postulated a theory that Tommy et al. realised what a nut-job Mariah is and reined her in because of it. Maybe to stop Glitter from happening lmao. I would love to hear Mottola interviewed about what he thinks of Mariah Carey's career in the last ten years. And Merry [censored].

No Lanister, it was absolutely not the mid 90's when she and Tommy broke up, it was 1999, try fact checking. Her first breakdown was not long afterwards, maybe you are the one having a Sr. moment. Keep boozing it on up Lannister, your physique is betraying your affinity for alcohol and twinkies. It's not about age, it's about integrity and quality of life. Merry Christmas.

Andrew, 1) You ignore the 2H of the 90s. 2) Your point appears to be "if you take away her #1 hits, she has no #1 hits". Huh? That's like saying, if you take away 5 of Jordan's titles, he doesn't have many titles. That defies logic.

Re: A galaxy far, far away (70,215) (70,242) by Lannister from USA
"Truth", first off, she left him in the mid-90s, so even by your definition she was still at the height of her career after she left. I suspect you're on the older side and your memory is beginning to betray you, but try to keep up. Secondly, you purposefully ignored my main point (which you can't contradict) - that 7 #1 hits post-Tommy would be an amazing career for anyone. Do you disagree? Odd comment re: chess. Are you having a stroke?

"But since when Mariah's image turned so much from sexy to sexual?" That's definitely the change I see and it's unsettling to say the least.
