Re: Mariah wearing a hat (67,859) (67,861)

Dahlin' Mariah can't do that now because Lady Gaga has already gone ahead and done that but I know which picture you are talking about and it indeed is one of my favorites. I also loved her hat moment in "Breakdown". I want another video like "Breakdown". Such a shame that a video like that went almost unnoticed.

I'm just happy the article is about music and not about her fake maybe boyfriend or her fake almost husband. I hope that she truly is working on new music and I hope it's great music that we all know she's capable of making. No more Crapfinity songs. If she must do a diss track I hope it's with great lyrics like Clown and a creative video like Obsessed.

Mariah wearing a hat (67,859)

I love this old picture of Mariah wearing a black hat looking over her shoulder. I wish she would wear one on her next CD cover. Something high glam and haute couture. I hope she gives her very best this next time.

Guys I just had a message from my friend saying Mariah dropped a new EP. When I googled this it said it was released October 31st. Have I missed something? The tracklisting is: Da Silva Da Silva (MZ Remix) Feel My Funk Any insight would be great.

A child knowing or recognizing someone and being comfortable around him, or her, are two completely different things. As you said, Brian is Mariah's back up dancer and friend. Brian is not the twins friend and certainly not their family. We have never seen this man around them in a capacity that would incline any of us, or at least those of us with knowledge of children and child development, to believe that they'd be comfortable in his presence. Again, it is obvious that Mariah is using Brian and engaging in this nonsense. He's not a friend at this point, he's mommy's pretend could be/could not be boyfriend that the public is having a guessing game to figure out. Therefore, his presence is automatically out of place.

Don't you think M. is intentionally playing games and seeking attention with this Bryan angle? This is opinion, nobody is stating it as facts, but it is a fact that she has been highlighting him all this year and especially now that she has broken up. Mariah has been friends with Trey Lorenz and MaryAnn as her background singers since almost the beginning of her career, but I can't recall seeing any pictures of them with her children and barely in any social settings. M. needs a new co star of the show and yes it may be revealed as something purely platonic, but they shouldn't associate her children with him in any way, to get press for this reality show. M. doesn't seem to care how this makes her look and it is what it is, but she should leave her kids out of these moments. To me it is about generally showing respect for her children and showing them proper boundaries. M. has had a total changeover of teams involved in her children's lives, umpteen bodyguards, two relationships, one real and the other alleged. They make constant adjustments, but M. has enough help that she doesn't need the new boy in her reality show to take them trick or treating, just to get attention.

They really need to push the new album though. Go all out. Because many people didn't even know that MIAM exists. I mean for them the last album Mariah released was Memoirs and the last single is "Obsessed". Now we know a lot of things played part in MIAM not being promoted properly but for the next album she needs to go all out. The article got me excited about the possibilities.

It is a really nice article you are right. It gives positives and optimists thoughts about what is coming and the fact that the source of this article is Billboard makes me feel more enthusiast, excited and eager. They say in few words what I think we all want and like. I've just hoped that everybody will support the new era not like MIAMEC. Anyway I truly believe in it.

They should have kept those vocals in the album version. I love it. This is why we need unreleased or demo songs to hit iTunes. She probably has some gems that she doesn't even realize are great and would make us happy. Those vocals aren't even a huge deal, but it sounds so good.

Billboard article (67,845)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
This Billboard article makes me happy. They always pay respect to their reigning queen and this is a short wish-list of what her next album should have. Love that they went ahead with Mariah's use of "moment" for every item on the wish list haha. "Vocal moment", "Festive banger moment", "Anthem moment". Haha so cute. Pretty much covers my wish list too, except they didn't mention potential collaborators, but this board has that covered. The article was clearly written by a lamb judging by some of the words used and the nod to "Subtle Invitation". For the "Cover moment" I seriously wish Mariah would cover "You're not alone" or "Speechless" by Michael Jackson this time. Also "Butterflies" by MJ would be great too. Love that one.

Or she is being that because she has been everything else before. Oh, she was a tiger just now, I thought this was supposed to be the dark and evil era, she should have chosen to be a black cat then, to go along with the conspiracies. If I were her I would have dressed as Trump, there's nothing more evil and scarier, and Tanaka could have been Putin, there we close the circle of nutjobs.

But Tanaka has been years with Mariah as her dancer and in recent years closer friend. So he is known to the kids and they might not feel his presence out of place. Nick usually does this whole holiday event, this year couldn't be. As much as I think Mariah is being childish I don't think that the kids are going "oh another man" and be all confused. We don't even know what Mariah told her kids about Packer and the whole wedding. Yet again all we can do is assume. And lots of assumptions are going on lately on the board taken as facts, the same with gullible people eating every gossip rumor from the most disputable magazine sources. I'm more concerned as to what's happening with a new album and music. Wasn't Mariah working on it? I suppose every non-Christmasy project is being put aside as Christmas is in the air. Too much to hope this year, but I would like Mariah to sing a new xmas song.

Packer / 50 million / Stella (67,840)
by Nikki from usa
| |
|
|
I firmly believe in tried and true methods of sticking round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes. Stella's been around MC for 2 years now and I think if MC wants to keep her it should be just with television aspects of promo devoid of Mariah's music. Stella doesn't seem to have the pull to put MC on the cover of magazines and create hype outside of shock value. Mariah could use a manager that's suited to the music industry for her music. I still believe Mariah's #1 Christmas hit is going to happen this year. If she promotes the hell out of it, especially where live TV singing is concerned, it's going to happen. I don't believe the 50 million story. If it's true it would have more to do with business deals they conducted together. What if Packer was part of the promoter deal Mariah had for her Latin American leg and that's why it had to be cut? I'm also wondering a little why Mariah brought up the sex thing. Part of me is now wondering if that's part of what set Packer off. They're engaged, she's officially divorced now, he thought he'd finally get some and there everyone is tagging along. I thought he was getting irked by the extension of her docu-series and that's why she rented the second yacht. He can say he's not interested in media attention all he likes, but the fact is he used Mariah a lot to promote his projects. I was worried Mariah was about to be married and used as another man's investment.

"However, it's obvious, whether some like it or not, that Mariah is trying to be a thorn in James' side, is using Tanaka to do so." I felt the same way when she got with JP. I always felt like she was just using the billionaire to prove a point to Nick. I've never believed she loved that man. I think she liked him, but not as much as he liked her. I agree about the kids. I'll just add that if this is the game that Mariah is playing, she needs to grow up. I hardly ever bring her age into anything, but she's too dang old to be playing junior high or high school games to make someone jealous. Before you "captain save Mariah" people come in trying to attack me, what I said is an opinion. I'm not passing it off as fact. So save your sermons.

With that whole Stella situation, I don't blame everything on her. I believe Mariah is behind a lot of this mess. She's not always the victim. She's the boss and I don't believe she would allow another Tommy Mottola situation to happen. Mariah controls a lot more than what we think. I agree about the kids. I'm not a fan of the little Stella's, but attacking them is going too far. They are still children nonetheless. The lambs going in on them on IG are just wrong.

by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

She took on too much too soon. (And this is just my opinion so the lamb firing squad can give it a rest.) The divorce with Nick clearly left her scarred because she seemed to be head over heels in love with him and we saw what a mess she was in 2014. She told him she'll get a billionaire if he messes up one more time and she kept her word and moved on to James real fast without letting herself heal. Also in the middle, she fired everyone she knew for 2 decades and then moved in a completely new set of employees hence surrounded by strangers. Her mom seems to be out of the picture, her brother and sister are taking multiple shots at her. Then the whole drama with James starts and whether she brought it on herself with the stunts or not, she is being humiliated publicly and that has got to affect her. Anyways I understand why Stella's "empower women, we don't need men" single mom empowerment thing rubbed off on Mariah, or at least I think I do. I mean Mariah is professionally independent but her songs suggest she is a hopeless romantic and a "softie". Stella's cut throat attitude probably inspired Mariah to pick up a "I don't give a fudge" attitude. The problem is while that is good that Stella inspires Mariah to be strong, ruthless and not let people ruin her vibe, we all know there have been downside to this too. Had she been able to maintain a good balance of this and maybe keep Stella as a friend, not have her entire family live in the same house, and let a real manager handle her business, it would probably would have been better.
