We had that with MIAM. I want an overal happy record. But I wouldn't mind some BGK moments and I would also appreciate some songs where she focuses on story telling and atmosphere like "The roof". Yes she has her somewhat exposed moments but those are actually quite rare. Mariah has done naked photos before too but not so frequently. Nowadays she hardly puts clothes on. Beyonce's Instagram actually looks like the Instagram of a major superstar. Mariah's looks like a 13 year old's Instagram. Let's also not forget Beyonce doesn't show up in her lingerie to appearances. As for the "other worse people", why do we always have to be grateful that there are people doing worse stuff? Yes they are not classy and elegant and don't evoke 90s Mariah and all the other things we long for her (and for ourselves as fans) but this is who she is/wants to be for now and has been for quite a while. Personally I didn't mind the full length pic at all - looked very nostalgiac to me. The close up I could have done without but the other one played up that whole diva in diamonds in a tub thing (no idea why she loves portraying that) but I guess I've gotten used to it or numb to it. And the other one in fishnets I thought was quite pretty - nice hair, face, no boobs showing. She's had much worse. Did anyone see the no boobs and fully covered leg pics from the studio from yesterday? I suppose she thought that wasn't Vegas enough to be posted on her account. Mehh. Let the pics go. Now I'm more concerned about her wanting to release new songs soon. She surely doesn't have an album ready. Enter more buzz singles that'll go nowhere? I hope not. I want her to discuss the divorce and her siblings vaguely a la Petals. Discuss her love for James a la Cry or Camouflage. The album should be in the vein of Adele but of course we all know MC can write circles around Adele. Emotional, dark music. Piano, guitar, strings some percussion. That's it. No hip hop. I also want vocals that she can replicate live without a backing track and wall of background singers. But being as though she wants to be a MILF sex kitten, I'm not sure what we'll get. Probably Me. It's not just about Mariah (66,103) by Marissa from USA Does anyone remember that Mariah has kids? Or a fiance? The people who are cheering her on are seeming to forget that her actions impact others too. It's not just all about Mariah and being sexy at all costs anymore. I think this overly sexy era has been extremely disrespectful to her kids, man and herself. Mariah's always been sexy but it's never been this cheap or felt this desperate before. Also, there's a huge difference between having a bath for a music video and a professional photoshoot than amateur photos that clearly look like a sexy selfie you would have sent to your man. These photos look like ones that you'd be embarrassed would leak from your iCloud, so let's not even compare. One is artistic and the other one is thirsty. My main point is not that she should completely stop being sexy because she's a mother, it's that she should be more tasteful and more selective with who she shares this stuff with. She could have still taken those some pictures, but why not just send those to James instead of Instagram's 500 million users? Because to me at this point it seems like she is more motivated to turn on 40 year old men who live in their mother's basement in the Instagram comments than she is her own man. What happened to the Mariah who didn't even want to show us her bedroom on Cribs because she wanted "something left for herself"? Oh and the same people who are masturbating to her Instagram photos do not give a shit about buying her album. Don't let this cheap attention that she's getting fool you into thinking these people will do anything for her beyond an illegal download. I wish she wanted a piece of time for quiet reflection, or at least out of the limelight, but I don't think she wants that. The end of The Goddess is on YouTube, in fact I think the whole movie is up. You have to reference the actress Kim Stanley and the title and it should pop up. I am sick and tired of people going after Mariah for stuff like this but as soon as other people do it is okay. What is it that people have against Mariah? I have seen a lot worse from other people who have children who are older. We as here fans should stick by her. I am not saying that we have to agree on everything but when she is under attack from others for basically the same thing that other big name celebrities do I will take up for her. She looked tired, washed-out, fat, had lost her youthful glow, relied heavily on hair extensions and looked so much older than her age and she was just 36. Fast forward to present day, she looks 10 years younger than her actual age 46, is youthful and vibrant as she was in the beginning, slim as a teenager, I swear she even glows gold in some pics you see her and all round the best she's looked in her 26 year career. I like the version with MaryJ and with Try Songz. I think, in terms of "the explanation behind this move", it's a little bit of both. She was able to say things with these songs and if a journalist had speculated she only would have had to say "it's for the fans". We all know Mariah's always a bit "tongue in cheek". Well, elusive. It ruined a beautiful (and one of my favorite) songs. The lyrics didn't match. Overall mess. I'd rather have her release the "More than just friends" remix which was apparently re-recorded with Fabolous but they instead decided to write a new song. Which is fine, I enjoy "Money". However it wouldn't hurt to include the "More than just friends" remix if she really wanted to use old stuff because from the 1 minute snippet I heard, it sounds good. Ok, I really need to stop, I'm just joking with all of this. I really love Mariah. I'm one to cover up and not show any body parts, but that's because I'm very self-concious, and I'm a guy. I'm not into tacky nude selfish either, but I personally don't care if she does these things or not. It doesn't affect me. What does affect me is her music and that's what I'm waiting for. Neither of them were worth the wait IMO though. Mary J. added nothing and R. Kelly on Betcha Gon' Know added no appeal. The original of both songs were far better. Neyo on Angel's Cry was mediocre and Trey Songz on Inseperable also added nothing IMO. She had been teasing Memoirs remixes from almost day one of the Memoirs release. Lot of missteps. While working in a Starbucks today, I was listening to the album and paid more attention than before. Mariah introduced her duets with MJB and R.Kelly by saying "now for the deluxe". I always thought it was a business move from the label in order to grab people's attention and ensure better first weeks sales. It was actually Mariah's idea, I get it now. She had to be elusive throughout that whole period. We all know why now. She couldn't say certain things. She did by adding those 2 songs: "It's a wrap" and "Betcha gon' know". I don't if I'm clear. Mariah hasn't looked this good since American Idol era. Let her show off what she has, gosh looking like that I would be walking around naked all over the world baby. Let's clarify one thing here, shall we? The elusive era did not become what it was because of its lacking material but poor single choices and promo. I personally think material wise that was Mariah at her very finest. Easily top 4 best albums of her for me. The year 2014 was not very kind to our girl, having [...] heart broken by the one man who should love [...] with all he had, then her accident, having the whole world doubted what they fell in love with [...] (AIWFCIY ). Some fans do not have patience at all, a song can't just be realesed easily especially if [...] want it to hit Nr 1. It needs a great plan, deals set up, [...] have to play it to inside radio people, live performances and so much more. So give our girl sometime to figure all that out and she will soar.
