Re: M on Breakfast Xpress, South-African interview (59,551) (59,558)

I didn't see her not know Adele's latest music a diss. Whenever she is working on music she shuts off all other music from the world. Which made me excited. She said the same thing on the Breakfast Club Interview when she didn't know the "surfboard" term on Beyonce's Drunk In Love. "I love Beyonce but I haven't heard it, I"ve been busy working on my own music." They all laughed and said only Mariah could say that. I remember her saying that when she was working on TEOM she stopped listening to the radio. I'm to hear that she is working on new music. I don't know why everyone is surprised for her love for Rihanna. Mariah is usually supportive of younger artists (as long as they are not ripping her off).

Breakfast Express interview (59,556)
by Ardis Logic from Earth
| |
|
|
I was so happy when I heard Mariah say "I haven't had time to do anything, but work on my own music right now." Then she complemented Adele and said she was "fantastic". Honestly I personally have not heard any of Adele's new music either. I don't listen to the radio. Whatever music I choose to listen to, I search it out myself on YouTube or other places, so I can totally understand where Mariah is coming from. I love how she kept saying over and over "We love everybody." She is showing us that she is not trying to throw shade to anyone, that is really admirable. I loved this interview, she sounds happy and really down to earth.

I saw that too and thought of our messages on MCA. Oh boy. I mean no disrespect to Stella and in fact love what she has done for MC during this entire mess after MIAM. I love how she turned it around for her. Only thing I am saying is how MC and JP travel everywhere with Stella and the girls. But hey, if it's by MC's request who are we to judge I suppose. Maybe that is how MC wants to keep things in check now. Whatever, Stella we appreciate you and no hate from us.

Very fun and cute interview. My only thing was the Adele comment. Yes, we do love everybody but the way she answered that question was so dismissive. I know she meant no offense and otherwise, but it makes her seem ignorant. You cannot tell me the best selling female artist right now breaking serious records that is Adele, you being in the same business, not know her record. Ok, maybe she doesn't have the album but she must have heard Hello. And then she goes on to praise Rihanna. I guess she didn't know Adele called Mariah one of her favorite divas. Just be a little bit more gracious when it comes to other singers, especially ones who are truly talented like a singer-songwriter. You know, the thing Mariah claims to be but all everyone ever see is a diva. I don't mind the Kardashian diss, unless she's all up in Kanye's booty to produce a track for her. Rather than Ace of Spades, let's have some lemon tea. Served piping hot.

Haha oh Lord, I saw that picture but I didn't think of it like that. Stella why you mad dahlin'? We love you dahlin' but that contour needs to be blended. I am literally sitting here with a beauty blender, trying to blend that thing on my laptop screen.

Loving (caps) all of the new gowns. Last year's outfits aged her and were pretty (except the pink one as Stella alluded to in "Mariah's" hashtag lol), but basic. From the clips I've seen her voice is sounding good and she's actually dancing and dipping it low. She better work.

Vegas round 2 / dresses (59,546)
by Billy from Greece

I forgot to mention in my previous message that I loved the new dresses. The opening dress, wow, so glamorous and goes so well with those big curls. I also love how she's working that dress strutting around the stage. And the one she wears during "My All" with the long straight hair, also fabulous. It's as if I'm watching a star of bygone eras, so huge and "divine".

The dresses are great. The golden one is my favorite. It's very Mariah. You can also tell that she's lost weight in a lot of areas. But I have to say that Mariah tends to wear too much make up sometimes. And I'm not a fan of the mascara and the curly hair. As I feel it ages her. However, she's looking really good.

Watching the clips from the opening night, I feel like I'm watching a true legend. She looks phenomenal, she moves effortlessly on stage and, most importantly, she gyrates through all parts of her voice with great ease. Fantastic moments. So happy to see Mariah like this.

Does anyone else notice Mariah sings her "you" differently now? I'm not complaining I'm just confused why she does it now. To me it almost sounds like she saying it through her nose.

M on Breakfast Xpress, South-African interview (59,541)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
So M called into a radio station in South Africa (thought it was New Zeeland going by the accent). She was introduced as the biggest selling female act of all time. And she was very protective of her 18 #1 hit record. Of course the ring and James' proposal was brought up. They talked about her previous visits to SA. Says she's too busy working on her own music to listen to Adele, even though she's fantastic. We love everybody. Rihanna's and Mariah's mutual love for each other is brought up. MC's love of hip-hop, R&B and Gospel. She doesn't want to talk about other people though, not even her neighbours. She loves binge-watching Scandal. They bring up her concert rider and apparently "it's what the last guy wanted to eat" as she would rather be brought a traditional South-African dish. No Cristal champagne, it's been banned from her diet. But Ace of Spades is a go. South Africa is excited to see Mariah and vice versa. She thanks them for a fun interview. Mariah says she doesn't put pressure on James to do things, like show up at her shows, it's up to him. Good night, good morning.

She's desperate. Do you really think the group that was upset when a talented singer songwriter broke Elvis' record are going to let an auto tuned sexbot tie or break Elvis' record. Notice Mariah hasn't been able to score a #1 since she broke Elvis' record.

I haven't seen the pics yet, thanks for sharing Mimi. I agree, the dresses were so lovely. My favorite one is the black one, overall when you see it from a bit afar it looks hot. She looked gorgeous and sang amazingly. Mariah's in love.

In awe with Mariah's current vocals (59,535)
by May from Denmark

Just saw some of the compilations going around right now in Youtube, obviously right now they are more like previews but I'm so amazed I feel like I'm going to explode. Her vocals were amazing, she sounded the best I ever heard her and those clips were just snippets, I truly would love to watch the whole concert. That note at the end of Infinity made me smile so big. I'm truly longing for a new album right now. I can't wait to listen to that tour.

The weaves / outfits / music (59,534)
by Malcolm from Asia

In all fairness the weaves are much better compared to last year except for the curly one but they can fix it along the way. The gowns are to die for dahling , the wetsuit outfit is so hot, I just wish she wears a wig like in the Honey MV to complete the ensemble. Please surprise us with a phenomenal album this year, single-release with a bang and well crafted music videos, now I'm thirsty for new music. So much love for you Mimi.

Take back music (59,533)
by Tevin from USA

I can't believe with the new rules Rihanna can sell only 460 copies of her album and give away 100,000 downloads and be platinum. They said she might beat out Adele next week which isn't far because Adele actually sold a ton of albums.
