Touring (46,255) by Victor from Costa Rica I think Mariah should do a world tour call "The eras of my life" and have special segments dedicated to each of her albums (probably she could dress like some videos in order to represent the most iconic moments of her career). As she has a lot of song under her credit and a lot of hits, I thinks she could do a medley of their songs in order to give fans a little bit of everything. Maybe she could sing one entire song per album (the most popular), and do a medley with the others. That would be fantastic. I want to hear live some songs from Glitter, especially Loverboy. It's not my favorite song, but I know she was going to sing that song during MTV's 20th anniversary, but she couldn't because she had the breakdown. I know that if she would sung it, the song would reached the #1 spot in Billboard. What do you think guy? (Friday 22 August 2014; 18:39)

Proper promotion for Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel (46,254) by KeShawn Taylor from United States Continuing my most previous post on E=MC2, I believe that Memoirs was not fully capitalized on. If E=MC2 rode its success into the early part of 2009, while Mariah was already working on MOAIA, the album could've fared far better in terms of sales and single success. It could've also assisted "My Love" with The-Dream to be a greater hit. Mapped out below would've been my single projections, in correlation with the release of Angels Advocate, the tour, and Precious. Following this post, I will post what I believe would've been a great approach following the flop of "Triumphant (Get 'Em)". First single - "Obsessed" released in June, perform single at VMAs, BET Awards, and not cancelled Storytellers appearance. Second single - "I Want to Know What Love Is" released in early September, performed on every adult oriented talk show possible. Released music video the day of the album release. And have a much better music video. Third singles - "H.A.T.E.U."/"Angels Cry" released in November. Fourth single/first single to Angels Advocate: "Up Out My Face" remix featuring Nicki Minaj and "Inseparable" featuring Trey Songz. Promote these songs strongly with television appearances. Jonathan (46,253) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Well let's just hope she goes down path number one (I don't care about the skinny part, but hoping she'll get stronger). As for path number two, it may not be something Mariah would do. Apart from 2001, I think Mariah kept her problems really private and dealt with it internally. Also, I think 2001 was a really bad year for her, not just for one but multiple reasons (the after effects of the problems with Rainbow, next, she just left Sony and had a lot of pressure to prove that she doesn't need a music mogul husband to stay at #1, followed by Tommy playing around with her project, then Glitter the movie, with which she probably wanted to make an impact in the movie business, was not going according to plan because she said she got scripts on the day she got to the set and apparently everything was really messy). These are reasons we know, there might have been plenty more. Plus she was young and not thinking straight when she went public with it hoping people will understand but it backfired. She learned her lesson, Mariah is smart enough not to repeat mistakes. But most importantly she is now more matured and has her babies to think about so she won't take any steps to cause them pain or embarassment. It's no longer just about her. The timing is bad I admit, but Mariah has known about it for months now (while we just got to be sure yesterday) and while it may still hurt as much as it did in the beginning, she might be in a little more stable state of mind right now than she was when the separation actually happened, especially now since she is ready to go on a tour. I would love it if she does it, and imagine how stunned people will be because they think she is so high-maintenance. But hey, even if she doesn't do it, I don't care, all that matters is that she is healthy and happy. Nick just took the challenge recently, so did a host of big names. (Friday 22 August 2014; 18:15)

Proper promotion for E=MC2 (46,251) by KeShawn Taylor from United States I've been thinking a lot of about how Mariah's management team could've kept her momentum going after the big debut of E=MC2 back in 2008 and how it could've carried strongly through with her releases in 2009, 2010, and her return in 2012. Here are some ideas I had as to what I think would've been a great promotion approach to keeping Mariah as the #1 female even with the evolution of music in the six years that have followed E=MC2. Of course, I am aware that both Mariah's marriage and miscarriage factored into promotion lack from May through the end of the year for the album and it's singles. *E=MC2 - Release all singles as doubles instead of one single being promoted at a time, release two. With pairs of singles released, there would've been more Mariah flooding the radio and televisions. This would've made more people familiar with the material, especially with the album starting off with very strong sales and promotion, it is evident that the album was well favored. It was a very single driven album. Mariah and Nick (46,250) by Mara from United States So a certain gossip site is having a field day with this news. It seems like they all forget there is a real family behind it all and that real people are hurting. Some of the comments are beyond awful and it just makes me think how much can one person take. I hope Mariah doesn't even look at them. I did notice since these rumors started blowing up in the last few days, Nick has been more active on twitter again. He did that challenge on the day news broke about his marriage. Don't want to read too much into it. Just hope Mariah is OK. I think the kids are her main focus now and yes she was 3 years old when her parents got divorced but circumstances were differnt then and Roc and Roe will have more stability than what Mariah probably experienced. Current status: divorce, tour, future of album (46,248) by KeShawn Taylor from United States First off if the divorce rumors are indeed true, my heart completely goes out to Mariah and Nick both for the sake of their children. I am optimistic that they can still work something out. The separation in May would definitely explain her lack of promotion for the album or its radio-friendly singles like "You Don't Know What to Do" and "Thirsty". I believe their marriage issues beginning in March also sabotaged any hopes and energy Mariah had to even revive and promote "You're Mine (Eternal)", which even without promotion was receiving airplay and gaining rise on charts aside from the Billboard Hot 100. I was very excited to hear about the tour. I do believe that it is a smart promoting strategy and one that her fans all around the world have been waiting for her to do. It is also a breath of fresh air that maybe there are more things to come with this new album. I am hoping that she does indeed plan on touring the United States to revive the sales despite the fact that they are at a record low for her. As for the current album, with all of the layovers and issues in Mariah's life, I am not surprised that the album has flopped. It is truly a shame because the album is so good. At this point, I thought Mariah would possibly relaunch the album with a new single and new songs to coincide with the tour, but at this point I feel she is just going to let it subside and move on. I believe that her heartbreak she is dealing now and hints of writing new material tease a new album. (Friday 22 August 2014; 17:43)

Songs I wish were Mariah's/Mariah should cover (46,246) by KeShawn Taylor from United States I have been absent from the board in awhile but I've noticed quite a few conversation topics brought up that I'd like to tackle. The first one being songs I would have loved to see Mariah's and songs that I think she should cover. Wish were MC's: 1) My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion (I blame Walter.) 2) Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis (Can't you hear Mariah slaying that first verse in her low register before going breathy. Would've been a great second single following Touch My Body.) 3) Someone Like You - Adele (While I admit Adele slays this, I would've loved to hear Mimi as the original singer of this.) Wish she'd cover: 1) You Give Good Love - Whitney Houston (For some reason I envision this as a duet with Maxwell and think it would definitely be an instantaneous classic.) 2) What About Love - Heart (Ever since I heard Lil' Wayne's remake of this song, I've been itching to hear Mariah sing that first verse.) 3) So Anxious - Ginuwine (Mariah has had her fair share of sensual tracks, but I think tackling one that is more recent as well as by a male audience, would further showcase her true versatility.) 4) Ex-Factor - Lauryn Hill (With her relationship with Nick appearing to falling into shambles, I feel like Mariah's emotion would take this song to another level.) Zendaya interjected. "Marry well," Nick joked, giving a shoutout to Mariah. "Hey baby," Nick said, looking into the camera and waving. He had a smirk on his face and now we know why. This breaks my heart because it makes me think that maybe he was just in it for the money and fame after all. If he were a gentleman he wouldn't take any of her money. It was so tacky when Nick Lachey took a bunch of Jessica Simpson's money. Nick has those 75 million he reportedly made since he's been married to Mariah. Seperation comments (46,243) by Dove from USA I didn't want to comment but I am. My divorce just finalized on Monday, after 12 years together, so I feel them. We went to eat afterwards, and it was so sad letting that chapter end. Even though we knew we shouldn't be together anymore, it still hurts, especially because of our son. My heart is breaking for them. I don't want to see her a drunken mess, not sleeping, and rambling. I want her to be happy and at peace. Wearing normal clothes, doing the ice bucket challenge, smiling and being okay, and nominating Nick Cannon because they are going to remain friends. It was beautiful while it lasted. Just an opinion and I think the same thing happened with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, she said she was a big fan of his as well. I really wish them the both but if they are unhappy then they chose to move on separately. Mariah is an amazing songwriter, I bet she is experiencing so much right now that I bet she has quite a few songs lined up already. I never really thought of Mariah as this huge super star, I always thought of her as someone very close to my heart even though I really don't know her but I connect with her through her music. I bet this is terribly hard on the both of them with all the media scrutiny and people placing blame on one of them or the other. I hope they can work it out and stay together. AIWFCIY (46,237) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So I was watching a promo for a currently popular TV show, it's called Pretty Little Liars with a main target audience of teens and young adults I suppose. And in their next episode which will lead on to their Christmas episode to be aired later this year, in the background there was AIWFCIY the original version playing. I am happy to see that. I wish more of Mariah's music was featured as background songs for shows like this so that would get Mariah the attention of the younger audiences (who are the people that mostly buy music nowadays). I saw many artists like Gaga and Beyoncé and many others let shows use their songs because once it gets into the heads of the teenagers they will locate it and buy it and in the process look for more songs in that artist's catalogue. Mariah, God bless her, has an incredible talent that even after 24 years in the business, still manages to write songs that can easily match up and set up trends. She can use shows and movies to get her songs to a more diverse group. Memoirs for instance would have been a teenagers go to album, it's so cute and mushy and romantic. I love Memoirs, it is mature at the same time there is an innocence throughout the album. Other Mariah songs would be equally popular with the younger generation of only they would know about it. Mariah and Nick separation thoughts (46,236) by Bradley Zirker from United States Even though I could honestly care less, it is sad to know that Mariah and Nick are living separately. And the possibility of them getting a divorce would probably tear them apart badly because of the joy they both had when they were first together. It mostly wouldn't look good for their children. Parents that divorce and share custody of their child/children always effect the child/children in many ways. All in all, I actually hope everything works out for them married or not. Reference to MIAM album in the year 2007 (46,235) by Philipp from Switzerland I came across a Mariah article in the Magazine "Interview" in the September 2007 issue. In that article she already talks about the picture she drew when she was a kid, which would 7 years later be included on the backcover of her album: IS: [tour continues] And what is this? Me. I Am Mariah (46,230) by Will from England With all that has been going on between Nick and Mariah, listening to the album is a different other experience. And listening to the lyrics a little bit closer, the album is full of a pain that I had not noticed before and it's the rawest lyrical album that Mariah has ever put out, excluding Butterfly, hands down. Mariah doesn't need to release a statement about whether or not the rumours are true, because as far as I am concerned, the album speaks in volumes about the whole situation. And I realise now what she meant by it's the journey of the past few years, and to be honest, it's so sad to hear her unhappy. The music may be disco-esque on some songs, but the lyrics tell a different story. I hope that they can work it out with the trial separation. Anyone remember when Mariah said that if she had had a trial separation with Tommy, she'd probably still be with him? (Friday 22 August 2014; 13:22)
