Music videos (44,360) by Billy from England, UK
I was thinking I would love Mariah to do a video for every song on this album and have them tell a story on each one seeing as she said this album is a journey to her. I think it would be amazing. And I love this album so much. The songs which I can't stop replaying these past few days have been Dedicated and Money, two of my faves there so catchy.

How a Mariah Carey skeptic finally fell for the elusive chanteuse (44,359) by Loris from Italy
"Hers is the democratic redistribution of power and charisma through the intercession of the arpeggio, the giggle, and the divine grace note." Read this great article here.

Don't go off of my word because I could be wrong but I went and listened and I think it's goosed than them other fools. After supposed to be I think it's acting like I know you notice me fantasize about the way you lick your lips fingertips on your hips as we dip. I think these are the correct lyrics but I'd wait until Mariah releases them to make sure.

Lol well yes I agree with you about J.Lo not being worth anyone's time and I figured you would definitely know who J.Lo is because hey, all die hard lambs of MC know Miss Lopez.

Loverboy (Firecracker) (44,356) by Bill from the UK
The remix to Loverboy on the Glitter album kind of features the Firecracker sample. Da Brat's "hate on me" rap is to the tune of Firecracker, and rather cleverly calls out J. Lo ("you can't do what the (cough) I do, just be imitating me daily"). I imagine and would hazard a guess that the chorus to Loverboy was originally sung to that melody.

Can somebody please record the NBC special airing tonight for fans who are not in the US? It will be too good to miss. Thank you.

I am also in Houston and I was confused about them not showing it too. What I found out is that it will be showing on a channel called This at 8 pm. Go to your cable company and see what channel it is. I have Comcast so the channel is 320. I'm at work so I won't be able to see if its a working channel until I get home. Let me know how it goes.

Mimi L. (44,352) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
I totally get your point, and agree with it for the most part, I was just playing lol. For the avoidance of doubt, I do know who J. Lo is, I just don't care for her, or what she stands for. I don't want to discuss her any further, she's a waste of my oxygen, finger movements, and time.

Lee / TR (44,351) by Bill from the UK
I'm obsessed with every single note of MILG. I have played the song 50 times a day minimum since the album came out, it is glorious, and the best thing she has ever done. I can't work out if she says "gooder than them other guys" or "gooder than them other fools", and no idea what she says rapidly before "supposed to be" in the chorus. But I get what you're saying about her voice sounding like a harmonica. It just blends with the instrument Stevie plays perfectly. I am so glad there are others on here who "get" the song lol. It is an absolute masterpiece.

I'm just curious about it (44,350) by Peter from
Hi guys. I just wanna know if Loverboy (Firecracker) version had ever existed? I really love that song of Mariah but I wanna hear the "Firecracker" version so bad.

Loris / YDKWTDO no rap (44,348) by Stacey from USA

MIAM sales (44,347) by Andrew crisostomo from Canada, niagara falls
I can't come to understand why the sales forecast is low. I think just based on the lamibily it should be sell near a million every time. She has 15 million followers on twitter so even if a fraction of those are lambs it should sell a bunch. Maybe the forecast is just based on iTunes. I don't know because I know the lambs go out and rather buy the physical copies like I did (2 copies physical plus 1 iTunes digital) and also think Mariah actually sells internationally too. She's global and some of these artists aren't, so worldwide she may be selling better. I actually think these numbers are wrong. What other fanbase buys multiple copies? Lambs.

To The Floor (44,346) by enwar00 from usa
That is so funny, I was just listening to The Emancipation Of Mimi the other day and repeated To The Floor a couple times because I was enjoying it. I even thought about how it used to be called Tonight. Made me miss the old Neptunes sound.

Single choices / promotion (44,345) by Skip from United States
Good points and observations, Bill from UK and PJW. You're both right. There were sometimes good reasons for the single changes at IDJ, and there were definitely times on Columbia where single choices were scuttled for various reasons. I suppose the difference I see with Mariah's current label and the incidences brought up from the Columbia years is that, even when a choice is ultimately made now, it still doesn't feel like a 100% commitment. And I don't necessarily think Mariah is always right in what she thinks should be a single. (Personally, I think "Against All Odds" would've been a smash here in America over "Can't Take That Away", but who knows for sure.) What I'm saying is Mariah and the label need to come to a consensus and then spend equal energy promoting the heck out of that chosen song. If either half of that equation doesn't believe in the selection, it's never gonna see its full potential. And when the whole team isn't working together towards a common goal, it feels like the engine doesn't have enough horsepower, when it totally could otherwise. Considering Mariah's social media savvy, I wonder why she doesn't get creative and start doing more to promote her music that way. For example, if she had performed YDKWTD while riding that subway car last night and posted that YouTube, that would've gone viral and exposed the song.

Houston KPRC (44,341) by TR from USA
Hi. Uhm I might be in theinorotu here but I do feel the UNCF might be a bit more important than an MC special that you will probably be able to find online the next day. I'm sorry of that sounds harsh but the UNCF is a charity organization. I'm sure Mimi would agree.

Funny story (44,340) by Nicole from US
Today I left my spotify on in my computer in my classroom. My last class came in and girl saw spotify with MIAM up. She then told this other kid to put it on Thirsty. That girl was singing it like she already knew the song. It played and my students liked it. Of course, my school is labeled "ghetto" in North Carolina but then again, I see that if Thirsty gets played in Urban stations, it would be catchy. This girl might have heard it from the radio station. I was amazed how seniors in high school loved the song. They were like, "Who sings it?" And then I heard someone says Mariah Carey. Lol. Just wanted to share.

Please help me ask Houston KPRC channel 2 to air NBC special (44,339) by JJ from Good Times from USA
Houston's local NBC channel has the UNCF concert airing at the time the Mariah special was supposed to be on. Please help me ask them to air Mariah. I created a template to use. "Hello KPRC. I noticed that on May 31, 2014 you are scheduled to air UNCF concert. The Today show reported that a special with Mariah Carey would be airing at the same time but it's not on your listing. Will you be airing it? Please air the show as there are plenty of Mariah fans that watch KPRC and would like to watch the show." Follow link, select programming and then copy and paste Thanks everyone.

1) Cry.
2) Faded
3) YDKWTD
4) Camouflage
5) Meteorite
Unfortunately I was disappointed as many of you with the "Deluxe" song selection, I was hoping that new songs would be included.

Mariah the visionary (44,336) by Isabelle from USA
I wish Mariah would have done something similar to that #Beautiful single disc to her album. I think people would have bought the album physically because of that. I haven't bought a new Mariah physical album since E=MC2. I was kinda disappointed about the lack of input in her booklet. I still have mixed feelings towards MOAIA, I felt as an album it didn't feel like a solid record and basically there was no song that stood out the most even though the songs were great. I'm happy I opted to buy the digital format of MIAMTEC. I can't understand how the media tends to downgrade Mariah's work. They keep putting her down, saying things like she is trying to follow trends just to keep up with other artists. Lets be honest Mariah has been working for the last 4 years on this album and started reworking this album just last year. Before Talk Dirty/Problem were hits she already worked on Money, before we ever knew about Beyonce's songs Blue and Yonce, she already recorded Supernatural and Dedicated. I feel radio has abandoned Mariah due to the fact they don't want her to break the Beatles record even though she is the best artist to do so, that's why YME never took of in radio and #B couldn't make it to the top ten.

Speaking of vocals and Make It Look Good (44,332) by TR from USA
Are you all as obsessed with her adlibs at the end of MILG? I mean the whole song is incredible and her "harmonicanizing" with Stevie is out of this world. But when she goes soft and bluesy at the very end right after her high note and she says something like "Fantasize about the way you lick your lips. Oh it's gooder than them other guys?" (No idea Mimi, I need your lyrics babe.)

Cry is giving me Vision Of Love more than anything (44,331) by TR from USA
Especially the run she does on "break" and "and" at the end. I love when she stretches herself to pull out something different vocally. The way she sings "might" in "might as well tell the truth about the matter" sounds just like a note she'd hit on Emotions. And I've never heard her wring emotion out of a word like "tonight" in "but tonight I just wanna hold you til we...". Closest thing would be the climax "to where we used to be" in I Don't Wanna Cry. This entire vocal is like listening to water cascade in a brook. It's smooth, soft, powerful, and ragged in all the right places, and it just cuts its way through you more and more with each listen. It's on par with Lead The Way in my book. And LTW is always in my top 5 MC songs.

Make It Look Good (44,330) by Lee from UK
I can't stop playing Make It Look Good. In my opinion, this needs to be a single at some point. It is such a refreshing song. Mariah was going for a fresh sound with #Beautiful and I feel she continued it with MILG. I love hearing these two tracks back to back. At certain parts in MILG I love how Mariah makes her vocals sound like a harmonica. My partner is not a fan but even he enjoys this song.

Stephen (44,329) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes, yes I know she is not even close to Mariah's level, but her album seems to be going in with a smooth, more organized manner than someone who actually deserves it. Mariah has a solid album, her vocals, the production, the lyrics, everything is just out of this world but I just hate to see how unorganized everything is. I don't remember if you were one of the lovers or haters of YME, but I loved the track and it only peaked at 88 because of no major publicity. And now her album sales are also low. Excuse my rants, I am one of those people who wants Mariah to burn down charts again. I understand some fans don't really bother about chart positions anymore.
