Cover of Thirsty (43,585) by tadatorao from japan
First off, I like the cover of Thirsty. Its color scheme, the signature font, the layout. Yet the photoshopping really needs to be done better next time. Her left eye spans from the nose to the edge of her face. Her forehead looks two inches higher than usual. Don't even get me started on the left arm. I am not being picky but I can foresee that her album and single covers will be more and more android like. The natural Mariah is goodlooking enough.

Lee / I've figured it out (43,584) by Marissa from USA
I came back on here just to see what other people thought about the song and I came across Lee's post. When you said that it could have been sung by "anyone with vocal chords", it hit me. The main thing that bothers me about this song is that it has no Mariah "stamp" on it so to speak. 9 times out of 10 Mariah puts out music that only Mariah herself can pull off. (How many people do you know that can sing Emotions or go off the way she did at the end of Subtle Invitation?) This felt like she could have been doing a demo for someone else, not in terms of her singing quality but just the song in general. I can't even get mad at her for releasing this as a single (for me personally, it's easier to deal with a song that I don't like if it's an album cut rather than a single) because I'm sure it was something that her label forced her to do. On Letterman, she basically alluded to the fact that she didn't want to release another single so it's pretty obvious what happened.

Thirsty. (43,583) by Paul from Usa
I've given this song many listens. I'm still disappointed. I knew it from the first utter of the first line. I don't need to listen to it over and over again to know if I like it if not. What difference does it make if it's been out less than 24 hours? It's not being negative. It's being truthful. Why can't I give my opinion of this song without being stoned by you lamb fans? That's like eating around the hair on the plate of food that was served to you at a restaurant. I'm going to speak up and let you know something is wrong. The charts will tell the truth. Personally. I don't like the song, and it will be a song I exclude from any collection. What happened to this album being a "peaks and valleys" of her life? How many songs have to have a guest rapper on them? This album is starting to smell. So far we have been strung along, delayed and delayed for this? For a handful of new songs (because we've already heard 4-5 of them). Ultra photoshopped album art, from a photoshoot last year? Idk about you all but I feel the music is less about the fans, and more about what Mariah wants, and a paycheck. This song sounds dated, and way to much going on throughout it. Good for the fans that are enjoying it. Perhaps I should bow out of the Mariah realm.

Thirsty (43,582) by Jono from USA
Love the feel of the new song. My only complaint would be that I don't care for the amount of vocal layering. Normally I love it since it's quintessential Mariah and only she can do, but with an uptempo fun song just her sole voice would have been enough. That being said, it's the second best song she's released (#Beautiful is still my favorite) from this album and while I'm not expecting it to be a surefire hit, I hope it gives her new album the buzz it deserves. I have a feeling the rest of the album is less radio mainstream, will be less hip-hop and more R&B. This was just to get her on the radio before the cd drops.

Better than Migrate (43,581) by Jamie from UK
I absolutely love the new single, it's really what she needs to increase hype for this album. Now I just hope the music video will do the song justice and helps it goes to top 10 perhaps even number one. Pretty sure #1 on iTunes will happen though.

The intro... (43,580) by Michele from USA
Thirsty reminds me of the beginning of Snoop Doggy Dogg's "Gin & Juice". You hear a guy say, "Man, I gotta p*ss," and the sound of liquid. That's the hip hop of old that I miss.

I just hear the new single. It's a great song, I love the beats and sound. Just hopes a hot video goes with the song. Great job Mariah, keep it flowing.

Same old stuff (43,577) by Carol from Spain
One thing seems to bother me extremely: why are people commenting constantly on the same things, when all that should and does matter is the music? And the music is good, different and, most importantly: Mariah doesn't get stuck to one melody, one type of songs. Apparently Hit Boy teeted he didn't hear the song until today and he isn't crazy about it, but that's what I like about Mariah: this is her album so, this means the songs reflect her taste, no matter with who she collaborates. So the comments: stop writting "oh it's photoshop" or "oh she is fatter now" and listen. Best advise for some bloggers who pretend to be experts on the matter.

Thirsty is right on the money (43,576) by Carol from Spain
Loving Thirsty so much. The profuction, the vocals, the sound, the melody. All of it is absolutly catchy and with a summer feeling attached to it - totally addictive. No idea if I like the version with or without rap. Mariah never ever disapoints. It's about time people realize that.

Blah blah blah, idc what you say, Thirsty is hot (43,575) by Ender (602) from USA
You people who love Mariahs ballads, she already gave you some like TAOLG, You're Mine and people who want to hear her in full voice you got Almost Home and #Beautiful. Idc if this song hits #1. I love when Mimi releases r&b/hiphop club songs to add to her catalouge, especially to make her tours more hyped. Why are people acting if this style of music came fom left field from her? Hello what about Migrate? What about Get Your Number? How about To The Floor (which I think should have been a single), or even Obsessed? It's like that and shake it off, so it's not that strange for Mimi to put a song like Thirsty out. Why shouldn't she be able to put our music that she loves? She has stated time and time again that she grew up listening to hip hop, so why should she be restricted from doing it?

"Me. I am Mariah" so far (43,574) by PJW from The U.K.
I just listened to all four tracks we've been given one after the other and you know, so far this is a really good album. It's managing to sound current, the productions on point, the arrangements nice and it still sounds like Mariah, though a very different Mariah than we've ever known. It'll sound stunning on proper speakers. Vocally (in my opinion) this may be her weakest album but if you listen objectively - objective being a key word - and don't expect Daydream esque tonal quality or Merry Christmas lung strength, the vocals sit well on each track. I'm really looking forward to hearing it all in context and definitely excited to hear the rest as it's always the deep cuts I adore. It'd be an understatement to say I'm aware of current popular culture but from what I do know, I don't think this will be sounding like anything out there right now. I can't wait.

Love (43,573) by Trish from USA
Loving Thirsty, love the vocal layers, and the vibe of the song, up tempo but not. The lyrics are fun and is a great idea for promo because you know the media will say it's about Nick. Our girl knows what she's doing. When she starts the choruses singing "you". Chills.

Thoughts on Thirsty (43,572) by Marissa from USA
If this is interpreted as negativity then so be it, but I wasn't feeling Thirsty at all. It's definitely giving me a Triumphant vibe because it just sounded like there was too much going on in the song. The beat reminds me of "N***** in Paris". This song just felt like an inauthentic attempt to be relevant on the charts. Like J from the USA said, this feels like something some 20 year old would put out. After hearing this, I personally wish she would have gone the more classic hip hop route so she could stand out from the crowd. Will this hype up the gp for the album release? Time will tell.

Thirsty (43,571) by Darryle from USA
Forgot to add this to my last post but I love the sound of a drink being poured at the beginning of the song. Matches the title perfectly and shows once again how much time she puts into details.

Thirsty (43,570) by Darryle from USA
This songs is a guaranteed hit. It's upbeat, it sounds ready for summer and the lyrics will grab everyone attention. Mariah's using all the language teenagers use thirsty, g, Instagram. I use them often so now when people hear a song called Thirsty they'll want to buy it. She's giving new meaning to the word as well thirsty for a dream. Typically thirsty is like desperate for a man. It's got an incredibly catchy chorus and great hook. If she promotes this right it will be a hit.

I like Thirsty, it's good. Let it be all about the music and rememeber it's about how it makes you feel.

Damizza? (43,568) by PJW from The U.K.
I'd say it's about Damizza? Either him or Marc Sudak, but most likely him. Her and Damizza were close, she was the biggest name he had and yeah, I guess you could apply the diss she throws to his career and Instagram - the latter is full of "throwback Thursdays" featuring the big stars he once worked with (Diddy, Eminem). He seems to have changed his name from Damizza to Young Damian Young and to tie him into her life recently, last year (or the year before?) she had to file a cease and desist against him for the autobiography he wrote with chapters discussing their relationship and despite the order he went ahead with it. That's my guess. My opinion of the track? It's not what I wanted from Mariah in any shape or form. Even as a hip hop club track, it lacks the uniqueness Mariah can bring. Saying that, it's a decent, bouncy tube with a catchy hook and so on that front does the job it sets out to, I'm sure. The production is overwhelming but one thing I'm grateful for is that the production on this album seems a step up from the last two.

Thirsty (43,566) by Marquise from USA
This is what I've been waiting for. Mariah is delivering a sizziling summer banger baby. The radio is going this up. After I heard this song I knew it would get mixed emotions from some lambs, because there will always be some that want the 90's Mariah, Well it's 2014 okay not the 90's. Mariah has released 3 ballads (AH, YM, TAOLG) , and 2 mid tempo songs (Triumphant, and Beautiful), and now an up tempo song, So I don't know why people still are complaining she has released every type of song so far unless you want country and rock lol. Anyways some lambs may not like it but the general public will eat this song up. It's so catchy and current, the radio will play this song all summer like they did with Obsessed. Cant wait to see Mariah have the WMA turn up from Thirsty. Good job Mariah, ignore the haters, this song will take over, mark my words. Oh did I mention all the great reviews this song has gotten, even the hater Perez Hilton likes it aha.

I'm thirsty (43,565) by Mark from United States
I don't care what anyone says, this song is badass and when it's on it makes my car speakers sound like they're going to explode. This is just what Mariah and her fanbase needed. Ballads are great but it was time to switch it up, this officially amped the level of excitement for this album for me and I think it's a great song, especially for summer.

Ugh ya thirsty, ugh ya thirsty (43,563) by Keagon michael from USA
Hail yes I am. This single is hot. I agree with others on here, please just support Mariah and stop trashing her. I don't think it's like Migrate but if so it's Migrate but advanced to today's radio r&B smash-a-ru. I love it and especially the breakdown orchestra sequence in middle. I think Mariah using her iTunes link was brilliant to get her album back in the top 40 on iTunes. Remember she wants us to hear this album as a whole, so I think releasing it to buy individually is not what she or the label will do. Preorder indeed. But the remix could be released after the album drops. Mimi is back with this one.

Thirsty for some MC (43,562) by Kristin from USA
I am loving the new song. Still trying to figure out all the correct lyrics. Wonder who she was thinking about when she wrote this. Only 2 more weeks. I can't wait to bump this in my car.

I read all your comments before I could listen to it and I thought I was going to hate the track but after one listen the hook was in my head straight away. I think it's a great song and hope it really helps to launch the album.

I am completely confused (43,560) by Anthony Basco from Cardiff, Wales
How anyone who is a fan of Mariah can say this song is nothing less than spectacular is beyond me. Mariah sounds current and stays true to Mariah. This is Mariah in 2914 and it sounds fresh, current and so welcome to her impeccable catalogue. I apologise to those who don't like it as I rule ugly feel you're missing out.
