YME / postponement / whatever (42,857) by Musti from UK
A big yay to YME for reaching #2 on the Dance Club Songs chart. I really hope it hits #1 next week. In all honesty I was devastated when I first heard that the album was removed from release schedules. I don't think that necessarily means it's not coming out on May 6th. After all these "news" all come from gossip blogs. No one from Mariah's camp has confirmed a push-back and it's quite curious that no one is commenting on May 6th in particular, only saying it's definitely coming out in May. I wouldn't mind another week's delay or two. That JD interview has practically confirmed my suspicions that a new single will be released before the album. Or perhaps Mariah's camp are planning to release the new single and its video the same week as the album, hoping that album sales will push the single to #1. However one thing I'm sure of is that all this agitation from lambs (in particular the lamb that lashed out at JD on twitter) is creating nothing but bad publicity for Mariah, and perhaps even ruining her promo plans for the album. I hope everyone would just relax. One way or another the album will come out.

JD interview (42,856) by Eternal from Italy
Thanks sweetheartaaron for the video of JD. He actually gave a bit more info about the new album and their plans. Did I hear it right, JD said that You're Mine isn't a single, but just a little song to prove that Mariah's really singing? So they're just going to pretend it didn't happen, the whole song, after tons of remixes and two videos and a much hyped BET performance? That nonchalant way he said it sounded like he was trying to minimise the failure of that song in the charts. I take it that in Mariah's books, anything less than a top 10 is a failure, probably even Beautiful, since it "only" reached #15. JD even mentioned how Mariah's really looking to get that 19th number one, so that explains why all these singles. Since after 5 singles and this trick still isn't working, it might do them both good to try something different. I doubt it's going to make much of a difference coming out with yet another single before the album. The album started out on the wrong foot and there's no way to remedy all these consecutive errors. Release that album, if it tanks, take another year or two off and come back with a real surprise album then, not a surprise album with a date attached to it. Stay off all the unnecessary twitter and instagram updates about working with so and so, untill the morning blah. Let the music speak for itself.

IMO (42,855) by Me. I am Carly from USA
The album is coming out early. I agree that it will be DeM anniversary. Mariah is completely surprised that she hasn't had a new hit yet and wants it. Mariah is totally over her record company. Mariah is out of touch with the new way of promotion, even more than JD.

Random (42,853) by B from USA
Did her team release a statement or what? I'm confused? She still has her voice. I think she struggles to sing live because she has to do countless interviews before hand. I hope that she releases the album on May 6th. If she decides not to I'm fine with that too. I still believe she has her voice. The problem I have with her singles these days is the lyrics. She wrote the lyrics to her best songs all by herself. Maybe she should let go of her dependence on collaborators. No more JD, Manuel, and the countless others that cause her to deviate from her style. She needs a hit song with a hit video to promote the album, otherwise the press will dwell on the fact that the album has been delayed and that only #Beautiful achieved chart success. She needs need producers like Happy Perez, The Smeezingtons and Bruno, Calvin Harris. She needs a beat like We Found Love, yes it was EDM but it was still an R&B song. Either way I'll continue to support her and her career. Unite lambily.

Oh my, oh my. How would that be like??Maybe like "Lord of the rings"? My precious? Hehe. I think it would be an ugly scene. If they release one in each country I would have a good chance. Like in Little Britain, I'm the only MC fan in the village.

Album releases (42,850) by Manny from U.S.
I was watching Wendy Williams. A member of the Wu Tang Clan was interviewed. He said they were releasing an album but only one copy of it. It's going to be worth a lot obviously, like having a painting from a famous artist. He said something along these lines. They decided to do something like that since music can be disposable with all the downloading. I wondered how the lambs would react if Mariah released just one copy of her new album? (*evil grin*)

Mariah is brave to preach the gospel re: her personal relationship with Jesus. She is a testament and God holds her close. The line of the veil of deception is exceedingly thin and only a humble one can discern. Don't get deceived. I have been often.

Advice to your older self (42,846) by Marissa from USA

I decided to go down memory lane on YouTube when times were better. Listen to what Mariah says at 2:27. She needs to listen to what she said back then now.

Petals (42,845) by Philipp from Switzerland
While everyone is anticipating the new album, I listened to "Petals" again today and I just realized again why it still is one of my favourite Mariah songs. It's so honest and beautifully written. I can't get over it. I watched some YouTube clips from the Rainbow tour where she performed Petals live, especially the clip from San Jose gets me, the way she starts to cry during the song but keeps on singing is just so emotional. So, don't worry, the new album will come. And in the meantime, listen to "Petals".

Re: Johnny / Almost Home (42,844) by Joanna from Poland
I totally agree with on the matter of that song. It should have been a hit, and I don't understand why it wasn't. It has got the most amazing vocal, full of emotions and a captivating melody. Moreover, it's totally different from Mariah's mainstream songs. I also hope we will get similar songs on the new album.

You're so right and yes he did. I've seen the clip of that when I was studying the illuminati in the music industry. If you pay attention reflecting back to what you said about the AMA performers, a lot of the performances they do are rituals to satan but a lot of people say no it's just entertainment etc but it really isn't. It's dark and it's evil and it attacks, feeds on our conscience without realizing it. I'm not trying to preach to anyone here but it's just to realize that it does exist and those who don't involve themselves in that are the ones who struggle. Look at Kelly Clarkson and issues with Clive Davis. I've YouTubed him and that man is pure evil.

Relax (42,842) by Bill from the UK
It's interesting seeing everybody's reaction (or over reaction) to the album's release date. Even going so far as to attack JD in public and write "open letters" to Mariah. Whatever next? All take a step back. May 6 hasn't even arrived yet. Wait and see what happens and if come the morning of May 7th nothing materialised, then you can all start your complaining and your demands for information. Some of you just need to take a chill pill.

Lambs take it easy (42,841) by Geronimo from USA
I see MC and Jermaine Dupri laid-back and laughing, browsing silly tweets over a splash of rosé and a jay holding back what they're dying to say while lambs nearly die in wait for as much as the album's name.

Darryle (42,839) by Bill from the UK
Hi Darryle. US albums are usually released on a Tuesday and always have been. European albums are always out on Mondays which is why Europe get the album first. Australia is usually the last to get anything unfortunately. As for the bonus tracks, it is often cheaper for Japanese consumers to import the album from another country, so to encourage them to buy the version produced in their country to support their economy, bonus tracks are added to act as an incentive to spend more money on the album than they would if they were to import it.

Almost Home (42,838) by Johnny from United States
Anyone else feel like this could and should have been a hit? I'm so grateful we got this song. I love when I'm on a run and it pops up on my playlist. Super motivating. Not to mention she sounds unbelievable on it. Anyone who doubts she still has "the voice" just needs to listen to that. I hope we get more songs in that vein on the new album.

Mariah's new album (42,837) by Gilles from Malta
I would say just one single thing. Leave Mariah in peace and her staff as well. Stop being hooked on the web because you are going to find a lot of fake news. Be patient and just wait for it. The album is on its way so do not worry and be happy.

Blah (42,835) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
G.G. I agree with you, if not any details Mariah can atleast write something addressing the fans. Instead she is completely ignoring us. I love Mariah, but this is annoying me to the extreme. With about 2 weeks left, we are left blank. Why did she suddenly decide to pull a Beyonce? (Assuming that's what all the silence is about.) Why announce a date and then disappear and let websites do mysterious things like pulling out the album release from the listings and all. I can't say I'll ignore the album when it comes out, because God knows I love Mariah's work, but this is no way to treat fans. Lets not be blind, Mariah isn't as relevant today as she used to be, and if she starts enraging her remaining fans, it wouldn't be a good move. I hope to God, Mariah does something and makes all the wait and patience worth it.

Funny, I was just sending through the same type of message and saw your response to David right after I sent it through. I 100% believe there is a lot of evil and darkness in this industry. Mariah herself alluded to that during a Larry King interview once as did Chaka Khan during the tragic loss of Whitney. It is a business and a powerful one at that. Look at Lady GaGa. How dark her videos were, her dark strange MTV performances and all her awards, then she broke her hip or something and her latest album was not what her last ones were and she said the record co did not back her at all and were heartless. If you notice all the MTV video awards shows pay homage to the same artists. Mariah was never really included in that bunch. Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Nikki Minaj, Lady Gaga, they all seemed to rule those award shows. MC never needed that though. I love how she started true to herself. I hope she never feels the need to go down that path. I don't know how many people agree with me but I do believe the music industry is a tough one to be in. I remember Michael Jackson saying it was evil too. I believe he called Tommy Mottola the devil.

Current artists and industry, davidf (42,831) by Mara from United States
Davidf, you made some good points. I am just glad MC never jumped on that boat. She made her success in a respectful way. Yeah she likes to dress sexy but never in a raunchy way if you know what I mean. Some of the artists out there today, especially most of the ones topping the charts (and the ones our kids are being influenced by) have such a darkness about them, very sexual and the lyrics are just evil. I don't know why the artists today feel the need for such dark evil looking videos either. So you see MC with a glass of champagne, ok but most stories or pics about her are with her family. Even before the kids, she got where she is with songs like Hero, songs that are respectable. She has nothing to be ashamed of when her kids look and listen to her catalog and career. I can honestly say I am proud of that, being a Mariah Carey fan for 24 years. As far as the album, as I said before. I really feel like she is nervous. The pressure she must feel I can't even imagine for this album. The world is watching and waiting for a hit or fail. Every press article states how it's been 4 years. She knows her last 4 singles were not the chart toppers she wanted. I will just be happy with new material on a complete album from start to finish that I can listen to. When she is ready, we will hear it.

Thank you David for that message. I'm glad to see someone agrees with me or at least is able to see that evil does exist in the music industry. Lately I've been thinking Mariah should add a couple of songs about the Lord on her album, she always thanks God and she has some songs here and there but I think a couple of songs would be a blessing for anyone going through a rough time. None of us know the struggle she might be going through in this industry and as I said before and I'll say it again. I really hope she doesn't get involved in that industry to sell herself out just so she can stay on top.

Ok (42,828) by G.G. from USA
You're right, MC doesn't owe any of us anything, and in return we do not owe her our blind support any longer. If you make the huge mistake of alienating, irritating and disrespecting your die hard core fan base, that's not good for business. After all, it is the music business, emphasis on the word business. I have never felt this way before about MC. But that tweet she made about Debbie Allen's group just was too much. She knows that we are all wondering what's going on and instead of telling us to "hold on" or "be patient, a surprise is coming", she tweets about another group? Purposely ignoring fans is not building excitement for me or, it is making me annoyed.
