Isaac Ortiz Mariah Carey (42,026)
by Paul from Usa
| |
|
|
I searched his name along with Mariah's and found his google plus account. He is a nasty foul mouth boy. He leaves some nasty feedback to people online. Glad he's gone. He was bringing negative energy in my world.

Mariah's radio play (42,025)
by Jay from USA
| |
|
|
I'm at work and have sat here at my desk for almost four hours listening to the same radio station and it seems the have the same ten songs on constant rotation. I usually dial surf and get different stations and don't really notice. It makes me think that IDJ would have to pay to have YM(E) added to the rotation. I'd rather have Mariah release a great album full of great songs. Instead of forcing people to play the song and pay to have another number one song.

Thanks for banning Isaac. I'm sure he will be back. [Webmaster: I don't think he will be back. See what he wrote about me in his last message (warning, there's some explicit language): "Fuck you webmaster. Rotten little prick. And Edward's dumb ugly faggot ass. I bet you don't even have a job. You spend your whole life one the net and have it wrapped around this this site. Have a nice life on the net. Loser." He's right in one thing, most of my life I spend on the internet. But that is because it's my job. I'm the director of a successful company and we're specialized in webbased management systems and websites. I have that job since 1998 and I bought the company I worked for in 2004, so now I'm the owner.]

Mariah's new album success (42,022)
by Andrew crisostomo from Canada, niagara falls
| |
|
|
I hope that the albums content is great enough to win a Grammy. If it doesn't lift off because of sales and/or little promo it has gotten so far, a Grammy will definitely help its case. And it won't have to have the chart-topping singles, the quality of the album will get it to the success it deserves. And Mariah has mentioned that it will have a lot of vocals and ballad songs so I am very excited.

Did anyone else see the exchange between a lamb and Jermaine? Yes, 20YO may have gone platininum, but (as a Janet fan) I don't even remember that album. Not good. [See Jermaine's Twitter account for the conversation.]

Mariah knows how to bring back the memories (42,016)
by Victor from Costa Rica
| |
|
|
Have you see the pic on "Mariah Carey goes swimming with Dem Babies" article? It reminds me a little bit the Music Box era (probably the NBC's Thanksgiving special shots while she is driving or even the Dreamlover video look). And people, please change topics of this message board, all you do is argue. Who cares about other's people opinions? Let them express themselves (if they unproperly decide to do that, if you don't like or disagree on what they write, just ignore them). The important thing is to be loyal to your believes, have your own opinion (probably keep it to yourself) and hope for the best from Mariah. That's what I do. Have a nice day.

Stacey / disagreements (42,015)
by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
| |
|
|
Well said Stacey. I haven't contributed thus far, because it seems that every few months we have the same conversation, where people need to be reminded that opinions are just that, an opinion; not fact. We may disagree, but it's subjective and thus shouldn't interfere with anyone else's existence or happiness. Hence, why is it ridiculous to get offensive and name call as a result. I have found that lately on this board, there have been one or two people, who have been so absurd with how they have responded to people's opinions, that I cannot even be bothered to engage with them, even when they disagree with mine. Worse still, there are some who don't even read messages properly, and respond in an aggressive way, when what they are saying is in fact in agreement with the message they are getting ants in their pants about in the first place. Maybe the webmaster needs to out a be nice or leave Mariah banner on the top of the page to remind people about basic manners.

Debates and disagree (42,014)
by RadChad from United States
| |
|
|
I feel that it's okay to disagree with someone else's opinion on a matter as long as it doesn't become a childish or desrespectful moment. It's a messageboard we're going to debate, nothing necessarily wrong in that itself. Also I see nothing wrong and giving an opinion on another artist as it concerns Mariah. Now if we were randomly discussing JT for no good Mariah related reason at all then I could see the issue. Respect in general is the real on going issue here for some individuals.

Well said Stacey (42,013)
by Eternal from Italy

We are all here because presumably we love Mariah's music. That doesn't mean that we necessarily love her image, her personality, her choice of words (STSHW, dahlings) etc. I've learned to make a difference between Mariah the singer/songwriter versus Mariah the person. She is free to be who she is, it's not up to me to say how she should be, otherwise I would be Tommy part 2. Similarly on this board people are free to say what they want. If I don't like something someone said, I'll just ignore it. There's no point in specifically targeting someone's post just to reinforce your own stance or have the last word on an argument. This infighting is really a bad image of lambs in general. I mean, seriously, now the lambs are even arguing over whether Justin Timberlake is a good singer/douchebag/ opportunist or not. Since when did this became a JT message board?

Right on. I don't have any hard feelings toward him at all. At the end of the day, we're all here for the same reason and he actually seems like a passionate lamb. So I don't want to turn this into a "pick on Issac" fest. Let's move on.

I did not direct my post to anyone or any specific situation. It was simply a post about my experiences posting online. I am not mad at anyone. My post did not imply anything close to that. Hardly, lol. See, I choose to ignore the drama. I don't worry about what someone says through a computer. I have so many things real to me than faceless words on a screen. Know what I mean? If someone does take issue with me, I approach them in an appropriate manner. I don't resort to name calling. Trust me, Eric can attest folks have gotten quite nasty with me over the years and I've learned to fight fire with water. I guess at age 36, I don't worry about it all anymore. I just pop in Fantasy and let the drama "melt away". Moving forward. Peace.

You guys (42,007)
by Bill from the UK

You all literally have me in hysterics sometimes. I laughed so much at the comment about how MTV Unplugged 2 would be the "final nail in the coffin" and how her appearances are now all about "boobs, ass and attitude", and to the person who said that as fans all we do is complain and argue about every aspect of her career - huge lol. It's funny because it's true. You all are great, don't ever change.

You are spot on in your last post about Isaac. Scroll though my profile and you'll see where I called him out a few weeks ago. He has a hard time letting others say how they feel, and quite often tells people that their opinion is wrong. What the heck? I just ignore his silly posts, hit the thumbs down and move on.

Carlos Jaramillo / nasty people (42,004)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
Carlos Jaramillo, I couldn't have said it better. I can understand when someone get censored here for using certain not so nice words stating an exciting opinion, but when you have to be censored for using nasty words towards other members, it is plain ridiculous. Justin Timberlake hasn't ever been hailed as a great singer, nor his voice has been praised like that either. He is more like an entertainer, and in fact his voice is nasal, and he said himself that he has a high pitch. He is more of a one man show, he looks great, sings, dances, and acts, but just that.

by Carlos Jaramillo from USA

You guys can't be upset at Isaac. If you read his other posts, you will find that he munches on immaturity crackers all day and is the personification of "delusions". He is so steadfast on all his opinions and is incapable of separating fact from opinion and as a result gets a bit "testy" with his replies to people. My advice is to just give him the "thumbs down" he always brings upon himself and rightfully deserves and, lets keep focusing on the fabulosity that is Mariah Carey and, despite all our different opinions and view points, good or bad, we cant get enough of our musical supernova.

Stacey re drama (42,000)
by Kenny from Canada
| |
|
|
I understand what you're saying but I don't agree with what you said about both sides being in the wrong. There's nothing wrong with having different opinions on a matter but it's a totally different situation when it escalates into name calling. There's no need for that. I was attacked because he chose to nitpick a sentence "not hating on JT but I just threw up a little in my mouth lol" and then ignore the rest of of my post. Apparently that statement was so offensive that it warranted an attack. I'm not a child and I don't need to be reprimanded. It's also interesting to note that I'm not the only one that's had a conflict with Isaac Ortiz.

Appreciate her diva work (41,999)
by Spir Ja from USA
| |
|

No matter what anybody says, Miss Mariah takes her position in life as a full time responsibility to the icon of it all. She is always dressed, tressed, poofed and primed. Who else does that on point year after year, week after week? Seriously, anyone that follows her knows she "delivers" something, somewhere. I hope she's having fun and I hope she does a 180 some day and starts doing something all together different musically and otherwise.

Re: the voice of Mariah (41,998)
by jaker20 from US

|

Of course people compare it to her old voice. Who else should we compare it to? We can't compare it to her most recent voice because we hardly hear it anyway. She's not had so many fully and unquestionably live performances the past few years, I can can count them with my fingers. MC has to accept her new voice. I would rather hear her raw and imperfect voice, rather than perfect that is so obviously lipped/semi-lip.
