Trolls and environmental nutjobs already (41,138) by nikki from usa I was wondering why Jonny had an article on MCArchives about Mariah Journal shutting down with no announcement actually on the Mariah Journal website and now there's a crapload of news updated. Color me confused. Now we got environmentalist nutjobs on here complaining that Mariah shouldn't endorse something she's done since '99 with Nickelodeon's Big Help-A-Thon because she lives in her house and travels for her job. Riveting. Unless you live in a hut and have never been on an airplane get off your high horse. Supporting the rain forest is a great message. After all the years of supporting kids, PETA, and research foundations, it's wonderful that she's making the rain forest a goal. I can't wait for the new single, this stuff is finally starting now. Fellow lambs (41,136) by LambilyLA93 from USA So this is my first post. I've been reading this and MDJ for years now, daily keeping up with everything. I decided to make an account and start socializing. With Your Mine arriving in a few hours I can barely hope back excitement. I do believe I'm going to be pulling an all nightwear so I can be awake to listen to B96 this morning and be one of the first on iTunes buying the new single. Ahh I'm so excited. Although TAOLG didn't get far (even though it wasn't intended to be a #1) I personally loved it. She always seemed to connect with me and the lyrics, one of the many reasons she will forever be my favorite, no comparison. I'm so excited for this single, I see the potential it has for success. It brings me back to 2000's Mariah, which we all know is a very good thing. It's tone and demeanor reminds me of WBT and DFAU which was my favorite era for her. New Mariah music (41,133) by Christy from USA Hi all. My name is Christy and I'm new to MC Archives. I have been a Mariah fan since 1990. I am so ready for the new single and album. A little info about me: I adore Mariah and will always support her but am not one of those fans who thinks she can do no wrong. I would definitely like to see her get her 19th #1 song because I believe she can still show up pretty much every single artist out there. Remember when back in the day good music meant a Mariah Carey song? Now almost anything can pass for good music. (I rarely listen to the radio anymore.) You're mine (41,132) by Joe from United Kingdom I was excited to hear about the new single. Then when the leaked performance version came out, I said ok I'm gonna just be patient and wait. A few hours went by and I thought I'll just listen to like ten seconds which I did. I kept reading all the good things everybody had to say about the song on the messageboard which only tempted me more to listen to it. I ended up listening to it in full today with only a little longer to wait for the proper version to come out. I think I like what I heard but I'm going to reserve my full judgement until I hear it properly, but it's looking good. Sad (41,129) by lashonda collins from usa Oh man. I had the urge to cry but I knew it was coming that we would see the death of MDJ. Honestly, I think I've been visiting MCA since 1998 or 1999. I would hate to see this site go as well because besides MDJ, this is the only one that really stood the test of time and it provides updates in a timely fashion. I speak for alot of lambs I'm sure when I say we come here everyday for our daily fix! That was a good record, great message and Mix Master Mike from The Beastie Boys scratched on it, Paul Pesco who played guitar on Mariah Carey's Emotions and Music Box played on it too. New single / MCA (41,127) by CMC from NY,NY I'm so exited for this week. I love Mariah's appearances on The View. I have to admit I couldn't resist listening to "You're mine (eternal )", not sure what that reference is. Couldn't she of just changed it to Be Mine, or "Get you off my mind" but then someone posted that's not what she's even singing. I google searched the leaked version after a day of drinking so it's all a happy blur to me but can't get the faint memory of the melody out. I loved it. But only one listen so it will be like new to me when I hear the studio version tomorrow morning and wake up like a kid to hear it. I'm old school trying not to listen to the leaks but who can resist? I'll still buy the iTunes version of course. Mystery collaborator (41,126) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So the mystery collaborator, "whom MC worked with before but the song wasn't released", on the new album must be Trey Songz, since the Inseparable remix was never officially released. Among her other well known collaborators, I wish MC works with Jay Z again, I loved them together in Heartbreaker, You Got Me, Shake It Off Remix, Bye Bye remix and Things That You Do. I would also love another Mariah-Diddy moment. They might not be on the new album, but hopefully in future albums she'll work with them again. (Tuesday 11 February 2014; 18:49)

He asked her to guest on it but she was to busy doing the Rick Ross joint. Her house in LA burns lights all day long and wastes water like nobody's business. Her carbon footprint is off the hook with all her private jet travel. Mariah's the best vocalist in the pop world hands down, but let's be serious, an environmentalist... far from it. Remix video (41,124) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I think the remix video is the one where Mariah is on the piano (as Trey is featured on it and the shots of her music video on the piano shows her wearing the same black dress she wore in the pics with him), while the main one is the one shot in Puerto Rico. I read that the new video for You're Mine was filmed in the rain forest of Puerto Rico and that MC wished to bring attention to the need to preserve our natural resources. I hope this is true and I have always wished that MC would take a stand on this issue and be an enviro crusader. I think it would be a great direction for her to go in. I wanna see a crunchy MC. Webmaster / MDJ (41,120) by Licia from USA I was thinking the same thing. From the tone of his message it seems like there's drama going on and he got the boot, but he really doesn't want to say. It's sad either way. Besides coming to MCA, MDJ is my go to place for news. I figured it out early that I needed to stay away from their comment section (I didn't even bother with the messageboard). I'm not the most critical fan, but I'm not blind nor am I going to lie when something is messed up. I would just read the news and move on. Lol. MDJ (41,117) by Gloria from Hong Kong I first heard the shutdown of MDJ days ago and I am still upset now. Then I turned to the little "flashback" video comming with the You're Mine (Eternal) announcement, I saw the MDJ tag at 1:01. Wow. On an official promotional clip? I enjoyed everything provided on that generous site. Since I became a fan of Mariah, the site I had visited the site like everyday. Now I feel like "I lost a part of me". The Art of Letting Go (single) (41,114) by Tory from Australia I'm not sure if everyone is over this song, but I've been listening to it lately. I like it a lot actually. I think if it wasn't released as a single, it would have been one of the hidden gems from the album for sure. Anyway, I know everyone had their theory on who she is referring to. Is it Tommy? IDJ? Some random ex? And it got me thinking, what if the song is actually about herself? She's letting go of an aspect of herself, that brought her nothing but unhappiness. The line "Mimi on your contacts, press delete", I don't recall her or anyone referring to her as "Mimi" recently (maybe I've missed it). It would explain her dramatic black ensembles she's been rocking ever since she started promoting the album. An end of an era or death of a "friend"? I was just thinking how seeing her in long all-black dresses reminds me of classic early 90s Mariah. As Nick said, the album is closer to her earlier material so maybe this is Mariah letting go of Mimi and going back to basics. Just a theory. I hope it's true because it would give the song a more significant and deeper meaning. (Tuesday 11 February 2014; 13:29)
